"Just disappointed I made a reservation, told the hostess our name when checking in and that I had reservation, and then I get an email from Open Table asking why I did not honor my reservation. I responded, and I guess this survey is a result of that acknowledgement, but hostesses should be more careful in checking in reservations -- even if it isn't a busy night."

I've had dinner at Cafe 501 about 6 times and to this day the manager has never acknowledged anyone in my party or anyone else was in the restaurant. I suggest a coarse on not ignoring the restaurant patrons...better yet...maybe a new manager would generate more personality in this waitstaff."

"Decor is very pretty, both organic and modern. We were seated pretty quickly. On our last visit we loved both entrees. On this visit it was a mixed bag. The lamb special from the Valentines Day list was OK, but I wouldn't get it again. Had a very tart taste with the sauce I didn't care for. The arugula and cheese on top made a nice complement to the meat. The southwest chicken dish my daughter ordered was also a mix. The chicken was quite good but the polenta was unpleasantly spiced and so dry it crumbled in your mouth, so 3 thumbs down on that. The clear winner was the slow cooked sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes. Everyone loved that dish. The meat was tender and delicious with a yummy sauce, and we will definitely order it again."

"Unbelievable service. The bar staff and the wait staff were all over everything we needed. We had a difficult group requesting off the wall drinks. Great place and you will be taken care of."

"Manager greeted us at our table and offered cocktails upon being seated, which was nice. We got mimosas. Our waitress was not very attentive. We ordered the Crabcakes Benedict, which was outstanding. Dessert selection for Sunday was a bit disappointing. The case wasn't very full. Despite these shortcomings, we would go back again for the food. It really was excellent."
