"Had a great night at Del Dente. The staff were fantastic and very accomodating to my fiancee's vegan diet restrictions. The food was served promptly and was perfect. The fresh bread was excellent. Bar drinks were a little expensive, but not unreasonable. We will definitely be going back again!"

"Meant this as a private note to restaurant but space was limited: Service was very good. I had not been to del Dantes in a few years and went this time as a group of 5. I did notice the menu had fewer options and the prices jumped considerably (although the pasta was very good). We were looking for something between a East Side Marios and a Keg in terms of atmosphere and pricing. Your prices were at at the Keg level but not a Keg atmospehere(the dark basement does that). For those reasons, and dollar for dollar I would be reluctant to return (bill was $154 and $18 for spahetti is very very high)"

"Del Dente provided the perfect location and atmosphere for 2 old friends to meet, eat and visit for a long time.
The atmosphere is lovely, the staff very welcoming and the food is amazing.
Our server was second to none - she made suggestions, she was pleasant without being overbearing.
On a Thursday night the place was full - so it is obviously a well known gem on the KW restaurant scene.

"I have many good food reviews about del Dente. This time I thought the extra service deserve a mention.
Locked the key in the car when I arrived. Walked up to the host desk, my usual server came to say hi, told her about my key. Between the two of us, the hostess and the chef has decided to call a tow truck. The kind and lovely hostess, Monica, show me where the phone book was about to look up the phone number for me. She also let me use the phone behind the counter. She said she will show the tow truck driver in when they arrive. That's service with a capital S.
Bartender Michael has adjusted his regular drink to perfectly suit my taste. The water is something worth mention. They filter their water and the taste are very consistent."

"Starting our bachelorette party off with dinner at Del Dente was a great idea. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. So much flavour! Our server, Andrew, even brought over a slice of celebratory cake for the bride to eat (after blowing out the candle)! We really enjoyed our evening and felt that the restaurant and staff had gone out of their way to make the dining experience a special one."

"Our booth was in need of repair. There were several large holes in the top of the table which made the overall dining experience less attractive.

"We've been going to Del Dente on and off since it opened, and every time we go back we're reminded why it remains a favorite. The menu selections, the food, the service are always top notch. Our only disappointment was that our favorite appetizer had disappeared from the menu. We had always enjoyed sharing a serving of saganaki, made perfect combined with the flower pot bread. But the fact that it wasn't available forced us to try something new and we were thrilled with the arancini. We introduced some new friends to it and they were equally impressed."

"This visit to Del Dente's was a first time visit for both my husband and I on his 54th birthday and we both really enjoyed the food, (had the lamb and he had the stuffed chicken, the service was pretty good but a little slow, the staff was friendly and accomodating and we would definitely make a return visit and would recommend it to friends and relatives. It was a little noisy at times, however was fairly busy for only being a Tuesday night.
My husband's only suggestion would be to include a salad with every meal (either at the beginning or the end) as that completed his meal perfectly. The chocolate oreo brownie/cake was a nice surprise for his birthday.

"The service is always great. The food seems to be better on Tuesday than Sunday. Fennel Crusted Beef Carpaccio, Grilled Calamari were especially excellent. Pan Roasted Lamb Sirloin and Flat Iron Steak were very very good. One of us asked for a well done steak, it had a tiny bit of pink but was well done enough, tender and juicy. I personally like my steak blue rare and I find the well done steak very acceptable.
Lasagna Arrotolato tonight was very excellent also. Lightly browned top with semi thicken sauce. Compare to a Sunday dinner 5 weeks ago, tonight was several steps better. 5 weeks ago Sunday was at an acceptable level. Tonight was just about perfect."

"Normally have a great experience at any Charcoal restaurant, a little disappointing this time but as it was Mother's Day they were busier than normal and as such was a little lacking. The service was a little harried, although 3 different people came to make sure we were enjoying our meal; we were except they ran out of flowerpot bread (someone totally dropped the ball there), and they did provide some focaccia as a substitute. However, when we asked for more focaccia it did not come. My pasta was a bit watery but was very tasty and flavourful so I forgave that. Overall a good but not great experience, chalking it up to it being Mother's Day; but that being said they should have been better prepared for a busier than normal night."

"Came to Dante's on a "first date" with my ex girlfriend. We were given an intimate table for two, our waiter Chris was outstanding, the food was very good, and Chris even brought us dessert that we "had" to share, bringing us even closer together, everything went perfect and by evenings end, I am happy to say we had reconciled, so we will definitely be back. "Another enjoyable late solo dinner at del Dente. Had a Roasted Beet and Woolwich Goal Cheeese Salad and Bruschetta. A rather light but very tasty dinner. Wrap up with a Chocolate Mooooooose cake and double espresso. They were a very good match. They berries that come with the cake was a nice compliment to each other.
The Vrigin Ceasar was slightly different than usual and lack the little kick. I notices they had a different crew than usual. It was Thursday night at 9pm. The place was pretty quiet and it is the way I like it. I also notices the music was turned down too."

"My wife and I go to Del Dente ever year to celebrate our anniversary. It's a nice place to have a relaxed meal and quiet enough to hold a conversation. They have a great selection of wines and beer, plus and some interesting cocktails and martinis. My wife liked 'The Italian Job' and my 'The Don' martini was excellent.
This places specialty is pasta but we usually order other dishes. My wife really enjoyed her Wild Mushroom chicken but my Flat Iron Steak was a bit tough. I've had other choices here that I enjoyed more. They brought us a complimentary mint gelato dessert for our anniversary. Check this place out if you like pasta and a quiet place to enjoy a drink."

"The food at this place is great - the best of all the Charcoal restaurants! But, you are rushed through dinner (we have been in and out in 40 minutes the last 2 times we've been there). Feels like an East Side Mario's, and this restaurant is MUCH better. Would improve the experience significantly if the service was slowed down..."

"Lovely atmosphere and good, attentive service.
Two of us got the penne dish with chicken and prosciutto and it was disappointing - lacking in flavour and the noodles were chewy. This was a departure from most other meals I have had at this restaurant. Good selection of wines."

"This was a solo dinner on a quiet Tuesday night at 8 O'clock. It was very quiet but I have been at this place when it was busy and noisier.
The daily soup was excellent. The bread in the flower pot was always great and I had two. Small Del's Salad was fresh and tasty. Tuscan Penne was just the right level interesting. It is the way I want it. Espresso Creme Burlee with Almond cookie was the best. Very smooth and not too sweet.
The server let me took my time to finish the dessert and read my book. He didn't come back right away when I have finished but I actually prefer that way. I left 2 hours later and enjoyed very much."

"I go to Del Dente's/charcoal/Martini's (all 3 restaurants in the same building/same owners) atleast 3-4 times a year. We love the atmosphere of the restaurants. My favourite place is del Dente's for dinner because its very classy yet you can dress casual. I have not had anything on the menu that I haven't liked. Their pastas are great but they are also well known for their steak, and other meats. The chocolate overdose drink is delicious. They offer a loaf of warm bread in a "flower pot" with homemade herb and cinnamon dips which are delicious as you wait for your meal. If you have not tried this restaurant it is a must try! Prices vary from around $14 and up. They offer a menu on their website."

"The food was very good and prices reasonable. We shared the small salad to start, and that was a nice size to start for each of us. The pasta and pizza dishes were very flavorful. Add a glass of wine and this was a great meal. We had a booth at the side which was nice since the tables in the middle look a bit crowded. The only negative would be the noise level is pretty high. Service was great and very friendly."

"We have always loved Del Dente, but we hadn't been there for over a year as we have moved to a different part of Kitchener, but wanted to come back for my wife's birthday. We love Del Dente but are not sure we will return. One of our favorite features is the unlimited bread, but both times we were given bread it was cold. The ambience is great, but both of our meals tasted rather bland. Overall, we were disappointed and are not sure we will return. We have many fond memories at Del Dente, but it feels like it has declined over the past year or two."

"We were seated just below the staircase and felt that we were in the hallway instead of a restaurant. Overall the food was satisfactory but not outstanding. I think the food experience would have been better if we were in a better atmosphere. The two girls that waited on our party of 10 were very nice and provided very good service. I have no complaints with the service.
Unfortunately, I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend Del Dente."
