"Thanks to Intermezzo and Miguel, our server, for a fantastic eveing out. Intermezzo is probably our favorite restuarant in Chelsea. We always take our friends and family from out of town there! This eveing, though, we celebrated my partner's birthday. It's not pretentious, it has just a great vibe and the food and the service are OUTSTANDING!!
Thanks again to the crew at Intermezzo for once again out-doing yourselves. From the front to the back you all were great!!

P.S. The white crab fettucchini special was perfect for a warm day that ended with a cool evening. It was Miguel who really sold me on it!! My partner's seafood risotto was off the hook, too! Thanks!"

"Made a reservation and brought my partner for our anniversary celebration date and it turned out great. Our waiter, Sammy was very nice and suggested us a great wine bottle to accompany our dinner. Appetizers, entree and dessert were all great. In all, my partner and I are very happy to have tried dinner at Intermezzo. Our experience will be very memorable."

"At dinnertime, noise from the street is bad enough; but, sitting near the bar also means that it's likely you'll be sitting next to very noisy, more than a little soused to the gills and making it impossible to have a modest conversation without ear-splitting shrieks/guffaws and other noises too gruesome to be put into a public document. Worth going back for the food but only if you get a rear corner table!"

"Came for the drag queen brunch. Atmosphere is fun, energetic, though a little sloppy. Drinks are filled frequently. The brunch itself wasn't great. The bacon was incredibly greasy. Come for the scene and laughs."

"Valon was a terrific server and he helped make a dinner out with old friends a really memorable affair!! The food was AMAZING!! Everything from Pear and Arugula Salad to Branzino, Crab Ravioli, and Truffle Risotto were INCREDIBLE! Thanks, Intermezzo for a wonderful evening out!!"

"I went with a friend who was born in Italy, so I had some trepidation. She was very complimentary about the food, saying how rare it is to find pasta cooked al dente. Intermezzo is an appealing place with above average food, and a terrific prix fixe menu. The experience is enhanced by the friendly and warm service. I wish I had a replica in my neighborhood."

"This was an overall HORRIBLE experience. The food was merely passable to say the least. Our waiter came by twice, only to inquire about our bread basket and if we wanted dessert. I am flabbergasted as to how this restaurant has been around for so long. Maybe it was the dishes that we chose but everything was subpar. Nothing that makes me say "we must, must, muuuust go back".

Never again."

"I celebrated my 25th Birthday Party here last weekend, and just as I suspected from my past experience here two years ago, it was SO MUCH FUN! Brunch on Saturdays or Sundays is more like a huge party for everyone there. Loud music, drag hostess, bottomless drinks for $20 pp, dance contest for the Birthday people, dancing on tables, shirtless men, etc. For a special occasion I definitely recommend! I have been during the week as well just for dinner and it is much quitter and a good spot to grab a bite to eat and have a glass of wine."

"Great for Sunday Brunch if you're in the mood to party and get wild on a Sunday. This place has everything from a DJ spinning the hottest club beats on a Sunday afternoon, to a drag show, to the waitstaff walking around with bottles of champagne topping you off when when your glass if half full. "Overall,our experience at Intermezzo was great. The service was excellent. The wait staff were very attentive and polite. We were not treated any differently for using a Groupon. The wine was good, the food portion size was also very good and came very quickly. We really enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely recommend Intermezzo."

"My friend and I went to Intermezzo with a dinner Groupon. When we got there, brunch was still going on. The host received us explaining to us that it would still be loud due to the remnants of the brunch customers and that if we came back in about fifteen minutes, our reservation would still be applicable. That we did and everything went as planned. The portions were in considerable amount to fill you up gradually and not leave you bloated. The host and our waiter were also impeccable when it came to our service. Overall, a fantastic experience to catch up with an old friend."
