As soon as you enter our Panama City Beach, Florida, restaurant, you are presented with a panoramic view of our seven-foot high, 25,000-gallon tropical saltwater aquarium. Both our Café dining room and Mermaid Room lounge offer dazzling views of this tropical reef and its nonstop parade of exotic sea creatures. Fresh, locally caught seafood, choice hand cut steaks, and live Maine Lobster are our specialty. We use only the freshest produce and ingredients. All of our sauces are made from scratch daily. "We had an awesome server, Cori. She knew the menu and made wonderful suggestions. Higher end for cost but well worth one night out on a week's vacation.
There were four in our group and each had something different: Grouper, Pork Chops, Steak and Chicken. We split the dessert for 2 among all of us. Each dessert was fantastic: Bread pudding and creme brule' were wonderful.

"I have lived in Panama City for 13 years and have to say that Saltwater Grill is hands down my favorite restaurant! If price is a concern, try the early bird special nightly from 4:30 until 5:30 pm. It is just $14.99 per person and they have an excellent menu to choose from. I suggest the Prime Rib and don't miss out on trying there Creme Brule! It is the best I've tried anywhere!"

"We had a wonderful experience and everyone was professional and knowledgeable. The only issue we had is that we made a reservation and still had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time for a table. The food was outstanding, and the service was great. We felt welcomed when we arrived, which took away the sting of having to wait for our table."

"We love going to Saltwater Grill. Our dining experience last Sunday night was wonderful...Lynette, our server, was especially good...never losing her beautiful smile. The food was delicious. We typically go on special occasions; however, on Sunday night we were just in the mood for a special dinner, and it certainly fulfilled our desire. Can't wait to go back!!"

"The service was adequate at best. The main problem I have is that reservations mean nothing. Even with a reservation, once you arrive you are simply put on a list that is created when people arrive. Even those without a reservation can arrive at the same time as you and get on the list before you.
When I arrived there was a gentleman speaking to the hostess. He did not have a reservation. She stated, "no problem" and put in on the written list. As the hostess was talking to this gentleman, another employee was on the phone taking a reservation. Apparently the person was on his way. She put his name on the list. When I got to the hostess she found my reservation in her computer, but simply wrote my name down below the other two."

"The food was great, nice variety, good quality. Only thing I'd say is that we felt nickeled and dimed to death, everything was extra - Sauce, different veggie, blackening (really???), etc. That seemed excessive, and having the waiter specifically mention all of the extras and how much they cost took away from the ambiance. Should just have it on the menu and perhaps have the waiter mention that there are some extra charges that should be noted when looking at the menu.
Also, our waiter wasn't empowered to make certain decisions - substituting penne for fettucini in the kids pasta, he had to check, holding the scallops in the penne vodka sauce, he had to check, etc. Those should be givens."

"Overall enjoyed the food and place had a "wow" factor going in. However the noise level from Piano man (singing and playing) added to general noise of place (maybe soundbaffles can be installed) made it hard to enjoy dinner. Often had to shout over noise. Meal cost was on the high end $$$$ so when I spend that kind of money, would love to enjoy dinner conversation with my guests."

"My husband's Pan Seared Scallops with spinach risotta was delicious!! So was my Prime Rib smaller portion. We had a table my the beautiful aquarium and kept pointing out another unusual fish. Our waitress was very attentive and other wait staff kept our water glasses full. We recommended it to our daughter and her husband and they had their get-away there the next night. The weather may have been bitterly cold but the atmosphere inside the restaurant was warm and cozy."

"We are snowbirds and Saltwater Grill is our favorite place in PCB. The seafood is always above average to excellent and my wife really enjoys the tenderloin steak, also above average. Trish, the manager is super and very attentive to her guests. The servers are very attentive as well and really know their product.

"we had a wonderful experience. Great service, great food and extensive martini and wine list. Would totally recommend this restaurant, and would visit again. Was very impressed manager- I believe came to greet us at the door, recalled my email message stating celebrating my husband's birthday and gave us a wonderful table, experienced server and it was a really nice night"

"We went to the early bird special - we arrived and 5 pm and were seated next to the awesome aquarium. Our server was efficient and attentive but not intrusive. At her suggestion we had a shrimp appetizer (excellent!) and plenty for two. My husband and I both had the prime rib (med rare). The salad was cold and crispy, the rib was perfect - the most tender we've ever had. We would highly recommend this restaurant. The portions were great."

"Our group had Prime Rib which was delicious. It was hard to talk because of the loud amp on the excellent live entertainment. Otherwise, it is a great spot with a beautiful surprise when you walk through the door. If you have to wait to be seated you have something to visually captivate you. Our group did not wait as I had made reservations a week ahead. It was packed so I highly recommend OPEN TABLE!,"
