Welcome to Ruth's Chris Steak House. As founder Ruth Fertel used to say, "If you've ever had a filet this good, welcome back." We take steak seriously, but we're also serious about making sure you have a good time. So you won't find the stodgy, uptight attitude you might find at other steak houses. Our SouthPark location, created in the classic Southern style, features a spacious dining room and private dining areas. Surrounded by dark hardwoods and artisan tiling, you'll feel as if you're back in New Orleans. All beef is USDA Prime, prepared in 1800 degree broilers and served on 500 degree plates, and all accoutrements inspired by Ruth's New Orleans heritage. Let us know of any specific requests for an evening with that special someone, and we'll take care of the details. Life's too short to eat anywhere else.

"This was my first time going to Ruth Chris so I wasn't sure what to expect. We went on Valentines Day, so of course the place was packed, but they had the mood just right. I nice dark romantic dining room with slow music playing in the back, candle light on tables. We had the Valentine's Day special which was sirloin and lobster which both were the best I have ever had. The steak and lobster just melted in your mouth, so tender and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The dessert was absolutley to die for and the complimentary glass of dessert champagne was to top it off. Everything was amazing and we will definitely be coming back."

"We absolutely love Ruth Chris Steakhouse for all of our anniversaries and other special occasions! I was able to make a reservation for Valentine's day just a few days before. The restaurant added a lot more tables to accomodate everyone for this special day. It was a bit crowded and we were seated extremely close to the next table, but overall we still enjoyed our experience. Since our reservation was towards the end of the evening, the restaurant had already ran out of lobster and the wine that we like. Without us complaining, our waiter "Carson" and the manager came to our table and offered us other options and were VERY accomodating! The service, food, and atmosphere made it a great Valentine's day."

"This was the first time we had experienced Ruth's Chris Steak House. We definitely were not disappointed. Our server Gray was fabulous and recommended different cuts that he felt we would like. We ordered upon his suggestions and were very pleased with our entire meal. There tuly is enough food to share. Make sure to leave room for the Chocolate Sin cake. We took ours to go and enjoyed it with coffee by the fireplace. I would gladly go again!"

"When we arrived in the parking lot there was only valet parking available so we parked in a valet spot and talked to the manager. He told us a private company handles the valet service and he was not aware of the limited parking. The manager did give us a complimentary appetizer for our inconvenience."

"The food was fabulous. We both got the filet, which was very tender and cooked to perfection. The waiter was very attentive. We ate there during restaurant week and were very pleased with the menu selection that was offered. My only complaint is that it was my husband's birthday and I had called ahead and asked them to bring out his cake with a candle on it, which they forgot to do. We would definitely return for special occasions."

Desert- Very chocolate cake, very rich. If you like rich chocolate this is for you.

"My first visit to Ruth Chris Steakhouse, so I was excited for an out of this world steak, as I'd heard so much! I was hoping for a fun environment, but was surprised that the restaurant was a bit stuffy. Our waitperson was fabulous and very accomodating to our every need. In fact, one person in our party by accident ordered the wrong steak & our waitperson was just fabulous in getting her a new steak. Our party member was over the top happy that they did this for her. Pleasantly surprised that they offered another option to the Queen's Feast, called the King's Feast. Dessert was delicious, had the berries & cream. Thought the sinful chocolate dessert should be mentioned on the menu that it's espresso chocolate. Enjoyed the evening."

"The dining and service experience was just okay. For being such a highly recommended dining restaurant, I wasn't highly impressed by the food or the service. We (5 girls) dined on the first day of Charlotte Restaurant Week and maybe the experience wasn't great since the restauant was busy. I would think twice about dining there a second time because I wasn't impressed and there are so many other really nice steak restaurants in Charlotte. I was looking forward to this experience for a few weeks and was let down :(

"This was probably the best steak dinner that I've ever had. The food was amazing! My only complaint is that we had to wait at least half an hour even though we had a reservation, but I understand that the restaurant was very crowded due to the Charlotte restaurant week. We ended up bringing my friend's 6-year old daughter, and even though this restaurant is not really geared towards kids, it worked out just fine. The waiter was great with her, and the overall service was great, too. I only gave 4 out of 5 stars for service because my friend got the wrong size steak, but they fixed it immediately, so it wasn't really an issue. Everything else was outstanding!! I look forward to coming back in the near future!"

"I love Ruth's Chris Steak house. I became a fan in Atlanta and recently dined there with my husband for his 40th birthday party. The service was excellent and they made his evening wonderful. The dining experience was beyond words, just perfect and we will definitely be returning. The food was delightfully refreshing, exquisite, titilating, a burst of sunshine in your mouth. The menu is fresh and the food tastes home grown and fresh picked. Awesome experience."
