"It's a very good steak house. Trust the waiter with the wine list, it's long, it's good, and it tends to get pricey. I threw caution to the wind this trip and went for the ribeye. It was very good, but I won't order it again. And try the hashbrowns with cheese sauce. It's a killer of itself. I thought their "wedge" was a bit much, but the blue cheese was very good. There goes any calorie count whatsoever."

"Everyone at Ruth's Chris was absolutely amazing. I brought my boyfriend there for his birthday and he loved it. I particularly liked how everyone who came by our table, even the ice water man, said happy birthday. There was confetti on the table when we arrived and they also brought out an amazing cheesecake at the end with a candle. It was a romantic and warm spot as well. The food was pricey but amazing, and I had a great dining experience. Only complaints go to a wobbley table and no one really saying goodbye as we left the restaurant. I was very pleased and will definitely return."

"Was recommended this restaurant by a local as my husband and I are from the UK. Set in an historic building, it's a fabulous restaurant. The wine list is comprehensive and the menu varied, despite the steak specialism! We thoroughly enjoyed our filet on the bone. This was our most expensive meal on our US trip by some way (even more than Smith and Wollensky) but we would say it was worth it. The service was exceptional."

"I've been here plenty of times - both for work and personal. This time, we felt quite rushed by our waiter. We decided to order the 3-course meal which I would not do again. I honestly think the quality is less just because it is part of the 3-course option (versus getting everything a la carte. Even the side options were quite lackluster."

"I mean, do I even have to say that their food is amazing? I feel like everyone knows this already. I'll reiterate AMAZING!!!!! I tried the buffalo shrimp appetizer this time. OMG- love. I'll be getting that next week when I return. I went for my birthday. The SERVICE! I want to say this particular time I had the best service I've ever received dining out. they took our pictures (multiple times) the wait staff was SUPER FRIENDLY! We cracked jokes- it was really great. They closed before we were done- no rush! So patient and accomodating. There was no, "the kitchen is closing, hurry up." My Birthday ice cream had a picture on it some of the staff drew- hilarious. If you could ask me anything to review I'd give them an "A+". Just excellent."

"Reserved a table for 6. Momentary hiccup when they called to confirm and I asked if I could add a 7th, but they called back and said it was fine. At the restaurant, we got a great corner table, teriffic waiter, and outstanding food. When I changed my mind on my cocktail, the waiter brought both, and let me choose one. As always, the steaks were prefectly prepared, and most brought home some leftovers. A special baked potato dish was wonderful. Bread pudding was the best of several desserts. I've always thought that RC was great for food but OK for service; this was outstanding on both fronts. A very memorable meal."

"Let me start this by saying I love Ruth's Chris; I thought it was my favorite streak house until last visit. I still love it and I don't usually write reviews but I went to the Capital Grille in Burlington this weekend and got a bone in rib eye similar to what I got at Ruth's. While I was eating my steak at Ruth's Chris I thought it was a little tough, my wife got it without the bone and hers seemed better or at least less tough. I should have said something to the server but I didn’t and that is my fault. After eating my steak at the Capital Grille this weekend I know how a GREAT steak should taste and I know now for sure that Ruth’s Chris had an off night last time I was there.
I will probably give Ruth's Chris another chance."

"We had a fabulous dinner at Ruth's Chris, once again. We started with drinks at the bar and then moved to our table. The one issue we had is that we had called a week earlier and asked to add one person to our party and we were informed that we could not keep our 3:15 reservation if we added another person to our reservation. We would have to come at 6:00. So, we did not change the reservation. To our dismay the restaurant was not full and two tables next to us remained empty the entire time we were there. So, we were disappointed that they could not accomodate us and add one more person to our party. Other than that, we had a faboulous time!"

"Food and service very good. They have multiple dining rooms on 2 floors. We ate in the downstairs room. Although very nice, you still felt you were eating below ground level. I would recommend asking to dine in the upstairs dining. It is more grand and the large windows let in more light."

"As usual, the food was excellent. My only recommendation would be that when you enter the restaurant, there either be a line for those who have reservations or the individual taking names ask for those who have reservations to come up and give there name, to avoid waiting unnessarily. I had reservations and had to wait at least 15 minutes before reaching the desk to give my name because there was only one line and no one was calling for people who had reservations."

"Food was delicious, but very small portions. Some entrees like the totmato soup arrived lukewarm, which was unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber (not to mention these prices). Filet was delicious, as as was dessert. The house salad was way too onion-y for 2 of the 4 of us at the table.
The clincher of the evening was when the waiter looked at us and asked, "What can I get you guys?". Really? Guys? Should I even have to explain what's wrong with this?
Still a good evening, but I ould not rush to go back again."

"I've been to Ruth Chris many times but for some reason this week I noticed a huge difference in the wait service. I was there twice last week and both times the servers were very unpleasant. We had to ask repeatedly to have our beverages refilled and the staff would not return for a while to complete the task. I had one of the servers rolled her eyes at me. The food was spectacular but the staff made our visit unpleasant. I'm unsure if I want to return again but I guess it's luck of the draw of which server is received."

"It was a great experience, my first time here. Will definately return. A bit expensive, a la carte, but they do have some specials which are worth the buy. All 4 of us was pleased. Service was excellent and same for the food. I had the salmon which was just plain salmon, which could be made anywhere, nothing special. Would like to have had some type of sauce on it which I've had in other restuarants. My friends loved the filet and the crab cakes. We will all definately return."

"While in the dining room a man stood up and made a large scene to get money for a bus to Springfield. The wait staff did a good job of trying to manage the situation but I found it odd that no management was around to assist them. It was restaurant week and as such the restaurant was very busy. The entire situation was very unnerving for my 13 daughter who was very anxious that the man would bring out a gun etc...In the future I would recommend more support from management in those situations.
The food was excellent nonetheless."

"The steak was everything I had hoped it would be. The sides were fine, the desert was good. I wasn't uncomfortable at my table, but I was up against a wall, which and there wasn't any room for me to move the chair back. I know it was crowded, but if the table can't seat a normal size person comfortably, it should probably be moved a little bit."
