"Four of us met for lunch. We were greeted by the hostess and sat immediately. Though our water glasses were filled by the bus person, our female server did not approach the table for 15 minutes. The restaurant was barely 25% full. We ordered a bottle of wine.
That took another 15 minutes to arrive. Our food arrived 15 minutes after we ordered it (which is great) but one of the diners had an issue with the steak salad. It took another 15 minutes to get the attention of the server. She was friendly but slow and not at all attentive. The food was delicious

"Mother's Day 2013 may be the first time Osteria Coppa has offered brunch - it was a special pre fixe menu. The food was delicious and well-prepared and the service was excellent. They even gave moms a free glass of prosecco. They had a kid's menu with too much food (and few choices) for little ones - french toast and eggs and bacon and fruit. We will make this a special occasion place as the pre fixe was $35 for adults and $14.95 for kids. Loved the smoked trout salad with beets, the halibut with dungeness crab and a light lemon sauce for main and tiramisu for dessert. The duck hash was heavy and greasy and the burrata was nothing special."

"I returned to Osteria Coppa after a year away and I was so surprised to see how the food and service had declined. Same old menu, smaller portions. We even tried the pizza with mushrooms and bacon and I have had better at Domino's. The formerly scrumptious pappardele with short rib had devolved to bits of overcooked, tough bad brisket sandwich atop a teeeny weeny pile of pasta. The rich succulentflavors andpiquancy of horseradish were no lomnger present.
The server never stopped back to check on us once. No water refills.
I don't think I would bother until this kitchen get a complete overhaul.
Also still quite noisy even for our 9pm reservation. We were seated promptly which was terrific."

"Too noisy! Requested a window table because I am hearing impaired and it was not available. This was not a last minute reservation but made a couple of weeks in advance. Offered a terrible table in the middle so we chose to sit in the garden in the back with all the noisy little kids...still quiet compared to the main space. Service back there was slow and our waiter, who seemed to be a manager of some sort was full of excuses that didn't make sense. The menu is really getting tired and is so very limited anyway. The wine by the glass portions are very skimpy...we always laugh. This was a very bad visit and we will avoid this place for dinner... Lunch might be a better proposition."

"My friend didn't like the halibut starter and when the server asked he mentioned that. She asked about replacement, but we declined, since I enjoyed it. Later in the evening. she brought us a 2nd dessert, which we declined. She walked about shaking her head, like. "these people are idiots". I had a dessert already, and my friend doesn't eat dessert, but that was apparently unacceptable to her. We probably will not return."

"After hearing rave reviews for Osteria Coppa I am more than disappointed. I had no choice of salad dressing on the house salad and what I received was VERY tart (too much vinegar). The amount of peas and prosciutto in my pasta was underwhelming. Come on guys -- it's spring. Peas are in season. Share a little of the seasonal abundance! I also would have liked my cappuchino served with dessert -- not when I was 2/3rds done. Will I go back -- sure, if someone else is buying."

"My first time there and I'm quite impressed. My only qualm is that is can feel somewhat crowded on a busy night due to the table's close proximity to each other. But that said, the service was spot on. The waiter brought us the pizza stand only to say "oops, too early" and took it back but did bring it back when the time was right. This was a good touch. Halibut tartare (awesome), House cured bacon pizza (wow, this is a treat), Pappardelle pasta (somewhat salty but tasty just the same) and squid salad (not on website menu, squid is grilled and is awesome!). Wine list is mostly Italian wines so ask for recommendations for the correct pairing. Corkage is available but their wine list seems substantial enough. All in all, worth the trip!"

"Another wonderful evening at Osteria Coppa - I missed seeing the smoked trout salad on the menu and our fabulous server requested it and I got lucky, the chef had it available and made it for me, much appreciated and delicious. My companion had the beet salad and really enjoyed it as well. We both had the skirt steak - it was possibly the most tender cut of this meat I've ever eaten, and was great, served with creamy polenta and greens. We added an order of brussel sprouts to share, it was a wonderful meal and evening, at one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. We stayed late to talk and was never rushed, never felt we overstayed our welcome which was nice since they are so heavily booked. Wonderful food, service and ambience."

"This was my most disappointing meal at Osteria Coppa of about 7 meals there. After we had our menus for at least 5 minutes they were replaced with new ones, which didn't appear to be very different. Five of the six of us ordered the express lunch, which was either a salad and sandwich or pizza. It was anything but express as we waited a long time before the sandwiches and pizzas came out. The salads came out about 5 minutes later. Also bread plates were set but we never received any bread. However, the food was good and the pizzas were much bigger than expected for a lunch express meal."

"The hostess assigned a seat with bright sunlight which my mom was very sensitive to due to a medical condition. She told us there were no available tables except the one assigned or the outside patio. There was another option inside the restaurant but she told us it was for VIP only. We all are paying customers so we’re all VIPs. I didn’t realize there were different customer levels. The other negatives were that the food service was extremely slow. Appetizers came out quick but we waited at least 20-30 mins for the main entrée and another 15-20 mins for the desserts. On the positive note the waiter provided extremely good services and the food was very good."

"One entree (large raviolo) was very good, but very rich. Our other entree (short ribs in horse radish creme sauce) was dry and disappointing. Our waiter apologized repeatedly for keeping us wiaitng, but I could see he was busy chatting with the hostess, not attending to other customers. He also brought us appetizer plates, saying our salad would be right out, when we hadn't ordered a salad. We've had better meals there other times, so I'll assume this was an of night for the wait staff and kitchen, unless a return visit also goes poorly."

"Great potential and decor, but just not quite up to par for what I thought it would be. Service took WAY too long for an umcomplicated order(2 hours for 3 people at dinner? And we waited about 25 minutes for our salads to arrive) The food was tasty but I guess I epxected a bit more. Too bad!"

"Found the menu lacking. As with a lot of restaurants, the appetizers were better than the meals. My sole was bland, but the pizza was great. Even though we were with friends and enjoyed the time to visit, the long wait for the food to arrive was excessive"

"Food service was slow. We nearly missed our movie because there was 15 minutes between our starters being bussed and our entrees being served. Still, the staff did an excellent job of remedying the situation as best they could, and that says a lot about their customer service. Looking forward to coming back when we have time to linger. "This is not about the food but rather the service. We come here often and it is one of our favorite restaurants. There was a new male server the other day and he was completely oblivious to what good service is all about.
In the beginning it was ok, maybe a bit slow.Then he forgot the bread we were asking for.
It took 45 minutes between appetizer and main course ! I am sure he forgot to tell the kitchen.He never once came to apologize for it, only the female manager came and said it was on its way. He did not bring us a dessert menu and we asked the busboy for one. When thee dessert finally came, we asked for our bill. That took another 10 minutes.I watched him, he never looked whether any table needed assistance.It was a bad experience."
