NOSH euro bistro
Award winning Chef Avner Samuel has opened NOSH Euro bistro and bar. The stylish eatery is located in the space formerly occupied by his ultra lavish Aurora. The expanded space includes a full bar, additional seating areas and a food bar that has been incorporated into the open kitchen. The menu, featuring casual European/Mediterranean inspired fare is offered throughout the day from 11:00am until 11:00pm. A relaxed and comfortable atmosphere complements the moderately priced food and wine list.
The bar and dining room have been completely renovated. Look for daily featured Happy Hour items to NOSH on while enjoying one of our specialty cocktails and wines by the glass.
Chef Avner is committed to providing tremendous value with quality products, advanced food preparation techniques and great prices.
Please join us for lunch, dinner or drop in after work to NOSH on a few items at the bar before heading home for the day.

"Competent and straightforward. Nothing too exciting, which is exactly what you need sometimes. A good place to celebrate an early Mother's Day dinner. The staff was accomodating to everone (3 generations) and the food was well prepared. Good apple tart for desert."

"We were just going to hit the bar for Happy Hour, and ended up staying for 3 hours. The 1/2 price appetizers were varied and very good. My wife had not had bone marrow, and is now hooked. The hummus platter was outstanding, calamari was only OK. Could not have had a better time. Looking forward to our next visit."

"The tables were a little close so you could hear your neighbors conversation. I had to lean in and shout at my guest to partake in our conversation. Our waiter was nice but his accent was so thick we could barely understand what he was telling us. Food was good except that some dishes needed a dash of salt."

"This was our second visit...and even better than our first. Table was ready when we arrived, and the restaurant was busy but not overly crowded. We had really enjoyed the food last visit and NOSH didn't disappoint this trip either. Kristi, our server, recommended the Wagyu Meatballs which were very tasty, and then helped us sort through the specials. Manila Clams were on the menu and while I often see mussles featured on Dallas menus I don't often see clams - and these were very good. Also try the brussel sprouts (even if you don't like them)which were prepeared tempura style -- very light and delicious. Wine list is smaller than some but varied with all price ranges represented. Lovely evening, great food, wonderful service."

"Went to try Nosh after they had scaled down from their more expensive counterpart. My wife wanted to try the duck but was told they were out even though it was on their permanent menu & still quite early in the evening. She had the shrimp and grits instead. Nothing special or amazing about it. While the prices are more reasonable, the quality of the food seems to have gone down with it, no longer fine dining.They replaced glass view kitchen with flat screen tv showing a grainy picture of the food preparers. Never saw anyone cooking just prepping vegetables and plating appetizers. The atmosphere is nice; nothing outstanding. The tv is not a plus. Waitstaff was attentive."

"I loved the Seared Ahi Tuna! My husband had the short ribs and said they were good, but were more like a roast and we can make them as good at home. "The venue was intimate & very nicely designed & decorated. We were disappointed the happy hour drink specials were only offerd to people sitting in the bar area, being that our table was within arms reach of the bar but were told our table was not considered "in the bar area". We felt happy hour specials should be offered to all guests during happy hour. We recieved very good service except for one time period after finishing our appetizers when we couldn't find our server to order our main meal. The main entres were all excellent & everyone was pleased with presentation, taste & value, however $13 for the cheese plate appetizer was overpriced for the small amount and little variety of cheses (only Blue & Swiss) that was served."

"Nosh is normally spot on with quality of food, service, and drink. But, the night we came with friends, March 1...things were a bit off. Our food was undercut (lamb chop) and lukewarm (scallops). Drinks tasted watered down. Upside was our waitress was very nice, but took an unusally long time to get food. She then brought out COLD break, wasn't even warm.
Not sure what was going on that night, we will be back to give it another chance as we have enjoyed dining there previously."

"Had 8:30 reservations but was not seated until almost 9:00. Had to revisit the hostess stand twice to remind them who we were and it seemed they needed the reminder both times. Once seated, the waiter had to excuse himself three different times to check with the kitchen on whether they still had items in stock, what the alternatives were, and if a substitution "would be okay with the chef". I hope he was new and it was not indicative of a very controlling kitchen.
Once we actually got the food, it was great. Truffle macaroni and cheese got rave reviews as did the pan-seared diver scallops. The burger was huge, but the tiger shrimp entree was small but tasty.
The ambiance was just okay as the main dining room was extremely loud."

"I've been here a few times. This last experience was pretty good. Went at 8:00 on a Saturday and the place was PACKED and LOUD! The bartenders seemed to be overwhelmed and unable to handle a sudden influx of patrons. While waiting for a drink for a good while, the bartender gave me an exasperated "wait a minute" index finger. Really?!?! Very energetic but they ran out of most of the specials. The service and food were good. I'll be back but maybe not at peak hours."

"Second visit was even better than the first! On a busy Friday evening, we were seated promptly for our 8:00 reservation, our waitstaff was extremely helpful, and the food was outstanding! Look forward to a return visit. If there was anything that was unfavorable, it would be the noise level. The place was packed and it was difficult to hear. "I must say that the meatloaf was outstanding. Never did I think I would order let alone review meatloaf but it was divine. "Salads were just the right size and had lots of flavor. Entrees were on the small size, but very creative. Truffles seem to be in abundance this time of the year as our sever wore us out pushing them on us. After much coaxing, we agreed to add them to the just average Mac and cheese and they were tasteless. And so was the Mac and cheese. We also were talked into adding them to 2 of the 4 entrees. Don't waste the truffles or your $18 per entree to add them. They honestly had no flavor at all. So we spent an additional $54 on truffles that literally tasted like nothing. So fair warning, skip them. We ordered one dessert for the table which was the chocolate cake and it was warm and served with ice cream. It was great, but small."

"We went for Valentine's Day. It was very romantic and the service was exceptional. I felt the food was a bit overpriced for the quality. Appetizers were pretty good. My steak was decent - though a little tough without the flavor I would expect for the price, and the dessert was not incredibly remarkable. I'd like to go back on a night other than Valentine's to order from the menu and try again."

"We were not informed that there would be fixed price menu for Valentine's Day although the restaurant even called to inform the reservations. The cost for the meal was WAY more than I would have spent if I was allowed to order of the menu. I would have left the restaurant as soon as I arrived, but they had required my credit card in order to make reservations so I knew I would be charged. Overall, the food was wonderful but the restaurant really did not communicate AT ALL."

"This was our first time to Nosh, but will not be our last. The restaurant has a relaxed chic atmosphere. It was a Monday and the restaurant was about 75% full. There was not a lot of noise and it was easy to have a conversation. Our waiter, Carlos, was very charismatic and professional and helped us with the menu and our dinner choices. All of our dishes were of good quality and very tasty. We shared the Banana Bread Pudding, it was wonderful. One of the best we have ever had outside of New Orleans. We were assisted with our wine choice and enjoyed very much the Antica we decided on. Overall it was a very good experience and we will be back soon."

"Overall the ambiance and service was good, but the food was lacking in flavor and presentation. We started with cocktails and our waitress recommended a drink that was supposed to be non-sweet. However the drink was sweet and heavy. She replaced it, but the second one was about the same. The salads were not bad. We ordered one of the dinner specials for the night,risotto and lobster at $42, and it was lukewarm and didn't have a lot of flavor. The Chicken dish had some kind of potato hash that was not good and looked like a lump of stuffing. The best thing we had was the cheese plate as the appetizer. The overall meal was very disappointing."

"I had my Wife's 40th Birthday their with six of her closest friends. The Staff and food were excellent. You would think that the quality of the food and staff would be in a more highend stand alone site but that didn't bother us any. It was like a diamond found in a stripmall. Everyone talked about the "Amazing" food the rest of the night and the next day."

"I am not a huge fan of this place. Only been here for lunch and each time everything seems overdone. Too much sauce, too much dressing, muddled flavors. Service has always excelled. Your highland park grandmother would love it. You might too... but not for me. Maybe it is the area it is located partly.. I'm also not a fan of the steakhouse across the street nor the Italian cafe next door. Plus with the multitude of salons around it, parking on a Saturday afternoon was horrific."

"We had an out-of-town guest and wanted to show her a Dallas "hot spot" restaurant, and Nosh was perfect! All four courses were excellent, and our waiter, Eric, recommended a fabulous bottle of wine. Eric provided very attentive service. We had a wonderful evening and will visit Nosh again soon!"

"Our dinner at NOSH was good - it was not fantastic, but it was good. I ordered the scallops and enjoyed them, but I was disappointed that there were only 3. I had skipped lunch on purpose so I could eat all my dinner! My husband had the chicken and said it was very good. We also had a beet salad each and that was the highlight of the meal. We were seated towards the front of the restaurant near a column at a table for 4 and the man behind me kept hitting me with his chair. There was no where to move as they had parked a customer's walker next to one of our chairs and the column was in the way of the other. Maybe the whole experience would have been better at a better table?"

"We've eaten at Nosh probably twenty times since they opened a few years ago. The food was tasty but service was, hands down, the worst service I think I've ever received, anywhere. Waitress was grouchy, told me two items I liked and requested had been taken off the menu because they were "too expensive," (crab on the grilled romaine salad and mussels). I thought that was a strange comment. My gripe was with the amount of time everything took. For example, it took fifteen minutes to get water and twenty to get a cocktail. We sat down at ten after seven and it was ten after nine when our entrees were served, TWO HOURS and it wasn't correct. Very disappointing, Nosh."

"I eat here on a regular basis. Food is always excellent and very reasonably priced. The service is solid. They have one of the most reasonably priced and well-selected wine lists in the region. It is so nice to have a wide selection of great food and wine at such reasonable mark-up. Makes it easy to visit more often than just wait for a special occasion/big expense account evening. All in all, dollar for dollar, this may be the best restaurant in Dallas right now. Way to go, Avner!"

"Best meal in Dallas in months. I had tuna tartare and short ribs (new item as of tonight) and husband had french onion soup and pork dish. LOVED every bite of it (both of us). Definitely a new favorite. What a lovely dining experience even if we were the youngest patrons (30/40). Very Park-y .. so casual dress is underdressed, but beyond expectations. Wonderful food, wait staff, and wine. Stellar!"

"Great as always, but perhaps they played it a little too safe with the flavors and the menu seems not to have changed in a while.
We ordered this day's special starter, lobster cappucino with truffles, that did not quite come up to par. Slightly overlooked lobster, some components were a bit oddly combined and the flavors too weak. Everything else was however fantastic! Loved the banana bread pudding."
