"I took my Wife and Children to SUGO's for Mothers Day and it was everything and more than i could of ever expected. It had everything you would want in a GREAT Dining Experience. Our Waiter was the best and the Food was some of the best we had ever had. I will definitely be going back in the future.

"My family had a nice lunch at Sugo's . The lobster,although small, was very sweet and tender and the accompaning homemade pasta was just right. Our daughter enjoyed her special halibut entre and my husband his lasagne that was so big he could not finish it all. The flourless chocolate Nutella cake was dreamy. We would prefer to hear light classical or jazz music to the contemporary rock music that was played. Silence would have been better. But, that is just our opinion. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience."

"We were a bit disappointed that the gluten-free selections were limited due to the special menu created for Mother's Day, since two people in our party were gluten-free. After making the reservation through Open Table I was contacted by Sugo to confirm, and I informed them that we had two people in our party who were gluten-free. It would have been helpful to know that the regular gluten-free menu items would not be available. However, both gluten-free diners in our party ordered the chicken francais and thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, we enjoy dining at Sugo and plan to return."

"Great food, but the server was poor. Little things, like asking three times before getting water for the table and bringing the entrees before we were done with the salads, grew tiresome. The owners are very engaged and that made up for the poor waitstaff. Prior servers have been top notch, so maybe we just drew a bad card. We'll be back because the food is fantastic!"

"We like to get several small plates, drinks and dessert. The appetizers were bursting with flavor! We tried the chocolate layer cake for the first time. This is not your typical chocolate layer cake. I think it had at least 10 layers consisting of a variety of flavors and textures. When it arrived it was so big I thought we'd never eat it all, but it was so good that we easily conquered the challenge."

"Great food and atmosphere. I've been to all 3 CHG restaurants many times in the past 2 years. All of their food is pretty much the best you can get in my opinion... great flavors, creative presentation, etc. The only complaint I would have: The servers are extremely attentive... almost too attentive, to the point it becomes awkward. I prefer the casual, yet professional style of the servers at Iberian Pig. Maybe that's just me though..."

"We attended recently for my graduation (Party total: 13). The service was fantastic, the food was amazing and, most notably, when I called to increase the size of our party, I was asked if there were any special dietary restrictions (which there were). Not only did they work with us to make sure my son's dietary restrictions were accommodated, they went out of their way to make his plate look "extra special." When dessert came along, Mr. Castellucci brought a treat that my son could eat, having made a special trip to the store to make a little boy feel special. The entire evening was memorable and, with the special attention paid to our dietary needs, Sugo's earned several loyal customers that night."

"As always, Mr C and his wife always exceed expectations at Sugo. Mr C can sell a special dish like no other in the industry. My wife had the scallops that were simply amazing and cooked to perfection.
Daughter had the chicken francese which was a cut with a fork tender. My stepson had the Moscatel Filet which as always, is one of the best steaks around. It's the one time where my stepson eats slowly and savors every bite.
And Amy, our waitress was the best. Attentive, fun, passionate, etc. Everything you could want in a waitress.
So even though they closed down the Sugo near us in Roswell, we will be making the extra drive to John's Creek to continue enjoying Sugo."

"My husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a night out while our daughter was attending her prom. We have been to Sugo's before at the Roswell location and liked the food there, so we wanted to try the John's Creek location since they closed the Roswell restaurant. We were not disappointed. Food and service were top notch. We enjoyed seeing some groups from NVHS who were enjoying a pre/prom dinner as well. We will be back."

"Sugo is a perinnial favorite for me and my wife, and they've yet to let us down! They are a great place to go if you are in the mood for Italian, but are tired of the typical lasagna and chicken parmesan fare. I've suggested the braciole to several of our guests, and they've always agreed it was outstanding. The appetizers are always very good as well, and one could easily make a tapas-style meal by just ordering a few of the appetizers. The wine list is always very good, with some very good and affordable options."

"I've been going to Sugo for years and it's hard to imagine it getting any better but it has! Everything seems like it's just a notch better (from already being great). The eggplant Lamola was outstanding. Where they sourced the gigantic heirloom tomato in the Sugo Pan is a mystery -- I haven't seen nor tasted a tomato that delicious since last summer. The recommended Montalpulciano (sp?) wine paired perfectly. The waiter, a recent emigrant from Italy, sang a beautiful happy birthday in Italian that mesmerized the whole restaurant. Every aspect of my dining experience was perfect."

"Although we waited 30 minutes to be seated for a 7:30 reservation, the staff was extremely apologetic to all. Apparently, there had been a party that ran late. As a result, the lobby was full of people with reservations. Once the party was cleared, everyone was seated immediately. The owner made several rounds to apologize to all guests. The staff ensured that everyone had a great, friendly experience."

"This was our first time at Sugo's. I could honestly say that the food was good, but not something to rave about. I had some kind of chicken concoction & my wife had eggplant paramesan. She said it was bland with nothing outstanding to make it memorable. My chicken was had some kind of fancy name, but that was all it had.
Our server was a complete schmuck. We had a craving for some garlic bread, but it was never offered. His style of service was a lot to be desired. Our meal, for some reason or another had a longer wait time to be served. The owner was constantly coming over to see if everything was alright. The hostess brought some kind of greek cake to appease us.
The question of whether we would return.........doubt it"

"This was our second time and was a huge disappointment. The waiter was borderline rude and the food was not as good as expected. Recent menu changes are not to the level the price suggests. The lasagna is basically soup.

"The overall dining experience was exceptional! The food was delicious and the correct temperature. The timing of the food delivery to the table was well managed. The server was knowledgeable and patient. We were checked on to see if we were satisfied and if we needed anything. This was done in a professional and unobtrusive manner. We didn't feel hurried out so had time to socialize with our friends. Overall, a positive experience."

"We had the scallops which were some of the largest we had ever had and were seared perfectly. Our guests had the chicken francais which was also very tasty. We ended the evening with the peanut butter cake and the chocolate cakes which were superb. The cheesecake was mediocre. Overall a rating of 9 out of 10. We have been here about 10 times and never disappointed."

"Sugo is always an amazing experience. On Valentine's Day, like some other holidays, they offer a prix fixe menu. My husband and I have been to Sugo for just about every special occasion - including our rehearsal dinner, New Year's Eve, when family and friends come to town and of course Valentine's Day. We normally visit the Clocktower location, but decided to try John's Creek. It was wonderful. Our server was great and we got to catch up with Mrs. C. They offered the prix fixe menu again this year, but they also offered some of their normal menu. The bacon wrapped dates and spanakopita were amazing tapas. I ordered the filet and my husband ordered the lobster pasta dish. It was delicious. The wine was amazing too. 5 stars as always."

"My husband and I had a fabulous first-time experience at Sugos. The food was outstanding, as was the service. It was well-paced and we didn't feel rushed. Nice finishing touch of bringing us both a splash of dessert wine. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. The only downside was the darkness - it was hard to read the menu, and the tables were a bit close together, but I wouldn't prevent that from returning. We will definitely be back!"

"The food at Sugo's is wonderful. The service is consistent. Unfortunately, this dining experience was not up to standards.
When I booked this reservation through open table, I included a note the party of 6 were attending the Johns Creek Symphony. Thus the need to be seated as close to 6pm as possible. This was done and much appreciated. However, the server was not made aware of our need to leave by 7:45pm. We did mention this to him but it didn't register with him. It appeared the hostesses may not have mentioned this to him either. It may have been a kitchen problem as we noticed others around us waiting impatiently for their dinners. I am a restaurant person and know open table works when the communication is shared."

"I have been to Sugo many times over the last few years and have enjoyed it in the past, however the food and service on my last visit left me disappointed. I still recommend Sugo as I have enjoyed it in hte past and I am hoping that the miss was not a trend but due to the Valentines day crowd"
