"one of our favorite restaurants, it never disappoints, Located in the heart of downtown St. Augustine, features french/german cuisine. I had the rack of lamb, Cooked to perfection! One of the specials that night was a filet with bernaise sauce. My husband ate every bit! Trout was selected by one of our guests for the evening and the chicken curry was selected by his wife. Everything was wonderful. And don't forget dessert! Try this restaurant...you won't be disappointed!"

"After an evening show, my wife and I went to one of the few restaurants still open in St. Augustine for a full meal at 9:30 PM. The background music was pleasant but not obtrusive - something a lot of other restaurants should emulate. The wine list was not huge, but there was sufficient variety, and the two glasses we had (one Riesling and one Merlot/Cabernet blend) were excellent at $8 each. Dinner included a very fresh salad - just greens, but with a very nice dressing. We had veal Oscar, and found it among the best we have ever had - two cutlets cooked properly, with tasty crab meat and white asparagus in the sauce. We also tried the chicken curry - very mild with two breast cutlets and great accompanying rice, banana, and chutney."

"The food was good, the menu varied, and the service was competent. The main dining room is nicely decorated in a traditional way. We had a group of six and we were seated in a room by ourselves with a large, round, table. Perfect! But if we were just two or four people - the slow arrival of food might have been unbearable if we were not good at sustained conversation!"

"Surprised to find german faire in french sounding name in spanish heritage town. All the same the experience was quite good. Food was well prepared if not terribly inventive. Wines were limited selection. Service was leisurely but adequate. When I asked at bar for TV to determine winner of Masters that night, I was shown to the kitchen where chef and I enjoyed small screen view of Australian's first winner. On a very stormy night, this was just what was needed in a unique setting."

"An exceptional experience - the rack of lamb was one of the best ever! Friendly professional staff. Several rooms create an intimate atmosphere, and control the noise level."

"As local residents we have eaten at Le Pavillon several times. We have always had a good experience, but during this particular visit the service was very slow. It was a 2+ hour dining experience with most of that time attributed to waiting for our main entree to arrive. Still a really good place and we enjoyed it."

"It was our first time dining there, but we had heard many good comments about the restaurant. We went with another couple and had a very enjoyable evening. Everything was excellent, food, service, and atmosphere"

"Le Pavillion had great online reviews and a packed dining room. The ambiance is very dated, but none-the-less acceptable. Thus, we sat down anticipating good things. The place wasn't at all recommended by our B&B though, and we were about to find out why. The server was nice and free beer was appreciated but well deserved, seeing that we waited roughly an hour from the time we ordered (entrees only, no apps) for food to arrive. Beer and bread was constantly put in front of us, and apologies were offered, but it was ridiculous. The rack of lamb portion is incredible (it's a whole rack, for real) but by medium rare I didn't mean medium well. The schnitzel was tasteless and the vegetables pooling in butter. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!"
