"Need a place to go for a good steak? This is it. The menu offers a variety but the free range beef is superb but the menu has other well worthwhile items when you want something else. The Rabas or calamari is tasty and the sauce is typical for latin american cuisine. The chicken is grilled and seasoned to perfection and do not overlook the postres (desserts) their flan is the best in town but as with most flans any latino(a) will argue that their grandmothers is the best. The prices are more than reasonable for the food and quality of service."

"This was a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding the food was mouth watering. Group of 6 and food was served together and no one ever had a dry water or drink glass. Would highly recommend this to anyone dining out."

"This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Highlands. The steak is always perfectly cooked and the chimichurri sauce is addictive. I brought three friends with me on my most recent trip, and they'd never been before, and they were all thrilled with the restaurant and loved their food and the service and the ambiance. I've never had a bad meal at Palmero Viejo."

"Palermo Viejo is one of the best restaurants in Louisville. The service is great, only outdone by the stellar food. Don't miss the clerico (white wine sangria) or caramel crepe with homemade banana ice cream."

"The Cocida appetizer hit the spot with our Pinot Noir. Then we thoroughly enjoyed the Lemo, the best grilled tenderloin that we had in a long time. We will certainly be back!"

"I visited Palermo Viejo maybe in 2008 and I remember we were not very satisfied. I usually do not review restaurants but this time this place deserved for their best and improvement ASAP. We reserve an early dinner 7:00pm the waitress was friendly but she had 4-6 tables , we was waiting maybe 10-15 minutes to get water , butter and bread. I was fine with that honestly. The main reason that disappoints us was the menu and the prices. We asked our waitress for recommendations on the menu she told us about “The Parrillada” $20 for one person $40 for two, we decide one Parrillada and a different option. After waiting 25-30 minutes we receive our Parrillada (One sausage, just one I promise...One small piece of ribs with fat, after we cut it half"

"Everything was great. Only thing that left me perplexed was the fact that they have olives and they have blue cheese but they dont stuff olives with blue cheese? They will bring both seperately for you to stuff yourself. Other than that food was superb!"
