The Dockside Restaurant offers superbly prepared classic dishes in a setting like no other. Located on the waterfront where Granville Island faces the city, guests can enjoy panoramic views across False Creek to the world-famous cityscape of Yaletown and beyond to the mountains of the North Shore.
The open dining room is relaxed yet refined, wrapped in spectacular floor to ceiling windows, while the lounge offers warm intimate surroundings for evening cocktails. "I took my husband and our 4 months old baby for Father's Day dinner and we had a great time. The view was great and we were able to take our baby walking around because we sat outside. Food was excellent too and it's great for special ocassion or taking visitors for fine dinning."

"We had decided on starting with the Vegetarian Spring rolls that came to us hot and very pleasing to look at. My girlfriends salmon lox bennie was very tasty as well. Presentation and the food impressed us the most, but, to top it all off, it was a beautiful setting overlooking the marina. We finish brunch off with the sampler dessert, which was awesome as well, consisted of three pastries. One was a cheesecake, another a hazlenut cream puff and also a pastry with fruit."

"It's a relaxing place with a great view of the river. The service was excellent. We loved the beer sampling. You get six different kinds of beer to sample for a great price. The short ribs were tender and tasty. We like coming here for lunch as well as dinner. The staff is always welcoming."

"Dockside is a bit expensive (moderate, not modest), but there is a range of prices and lots of variety on the menu.The food is above average, well-prepared and nicely presented, but nothing that is a Dockside special in my mind. They're not concerned about whether you're there for the entrees or a drink and appetizer, or just a burger, as a couple, a family, or a group, all welcomed guests. The atmosphere (pub and patio) is relaxing and friendly, great view (and quieter!) outside, and top-notch servers who are knowledgeable about the food (ingredients, how it's prepared) and attentive without hovering. Although they're busy, they let you relax over your meal and are in no hurry to move you on as you finish your wine or dessert."

"Came here for our wedding anniversary and the ambience was fitting for the occasion. Sat on the patio overlooking the water and had the scrumptious crab cake as appetizers, seared sabre fish and ling cod as entrees, and the dessert platter to finish it off. The food was cooked just right, crispy and flavorful. The texture of the crab cake was perfect, moist and tasty inside, nicely fried on the outside. Didn't find any food too greasy, too salty or too sweet. Overall great food and dining experience!"

"We came here to celebrate my cousins first Mother's Day and were kind of worried about whether or not they could accommodate a car seat. When we arrived for our early dinner around 4pm it was pretty quiet and they were cleaning up for dinner service. The staff was very friendly and had reserved a booth for us however the car seat did not fit. We asked to be moved to a table and put the car seat on a chair. They were more than happy to assist us and transfer tables. I was looking online to find a baby friendly and adult restaurant and this place more than met our needs :)"

"The Dockside was the brunch choice we made for a group of friends (6) in celebration of a friend who has recently passed away. We chose it primarily for the location and environment as we had out of towners present and it is central for all who attended, including two who came by sailboat from Vancouver Island. Lots of bright space, cheerful servers and interesting food and drink choices made this an ideal spot for the occasion. The only thing that could have made it better for us is having had space outside in the patio area. It was explained that it is difficult to arrange the seating/table arrangements to accommodate a party of six, so the inside setting was predetermined for us, and was enjoyed anyway. We would all return again."

"We took advantage of the weather to sit on the patio with our out-of-town guest and enjoy the great view. My husband and our guest were happy with their deliciously spicy tomato basil soup, tenderloin and ribs. My green salad and trout were both a little thrown-together looking. Wine prices are definitely on the high side -- I can't help feeling gouged paying $11.50 plus taxes and tip for a glass of wine I can buy for $14 a bottle at LCB!"

"We went for Sunday Brunch. Menu was a little light on traditional or creative Brunch options, it felt more like lunch at Earl's. My food was ok not special (I had a traditional Benedict) I asked for toast instead of potato and it came unbuttered and not sliced, I asked for butter but it never did arrive, I had to ask for jam etc ...I had to ask for coffee...the table was very tight for 4, even with the lifts we nearly knock over glasses twice. We ordered a bottle of wine...it took far too long for it to arrive, so we ordered food immediately rather than enjoy the wine for a bit.
I visit your restaurant for dinner about once per month and I enjoy the dinner menu and food quality much more than the brunch. Summertime we enjoy the patio."

"I was there as part of a group of seven for brunch. The setting is gorgeous with a great view even on a rainy day. The service was overall fine but we did get the impression that the staff was caught off guard with the number of large groups for brunch. Many of the servers and at times the hostess was seemed hurried. We noted the staff actually running a times. The food seemed to sit around for a while before being served. My eggs benny was luke warm and the hollandaise sauce had settled. In any event, overall we did enjoy our brunch and would come back."

"What a fantastic restaurant! There were 10 in our group (6 adults and 4 kids ---7 yrs old and older). The staff accepted our request for a kids table and an adults table. Our server, Patrick, was awesome with everyone, notably with the kids. Tough to find a really good restaurant that is also kid-friendly, but now that we know about Dockside, it's sure to be a future favourite. Right in our backyard! Excellent food, excellent service and kids are always welcome."

"The service was great and the food was served in a timely manner. The food itself however was surprisingly underwhelming. My wife had a halibut dinner and the halibut was quite over- cooked. I had the sea food stew , although the tomatoes where excellent ( garden fresh) the fish itself tasted as if it where all dumped in at the same time and boiled together . I've made cioppino many times and to keep all the fish tasting fresh you need to add each fish according to its own cooking time, otherwise it has only the flavor of the broth itself and not of the individual fish. Our meal was over $30.00 per dish and should reflect accordingly. The view was great and the staff was very attentive. We won't be back unless they change chefs."

"I really just go for the view. Make sure to request a window table overlooking False Creek. The food is just ok. The wine list is decent and modestly priced. We had an excellent waitress for diner, but the guys serving breakfast weren't nearly as good. I have been there a number of times, but it comes down to the view not the food. Great outdoor patio if the weather permits."

"Service was terrible. Made us wait 30 minutes for a table with sun outside and once one became available and we sat down, we were questioned if we actually had been assigned to that table. The waitress was very rude and was only friendly when we had to pay. The outdoor patio is great but there's no point of having tables on the shade as they're aware how cold it gets and they don't have outdoor heaters."
