"On this past Friday, 5.31.13, I invited my good friend from the Los Angeles area who was in San Francisco to partake in the AIDS LifeCyle Ride (the largest in the world}. He and I had a wonderful lunch at Blu Restaurant. Both of us liked the ambience, the architecture and design and furnishings, but above all, our stellar service and superb food. We had sandwiches and salad, and I had the most tasty lemonade that I've had in a long, long time. Because we liked everything about the experience, I plan to return for lunch as well as dinner in the future.

Our reservation was at 11:30 AM, slightly early for me, and we remained until around 1:00P.M. Overall, the restaurant was on the quiet side which was quite all right with me!"

Somehow I didn't realize that this is the restaurant that is IN sports club LA..

It is a PERFECT spot to meet a friend for lunch

"I am usually very understanding and never write bad reviews, but this was about the WORST service I have received since I moved here 2 years ago.

What an inexcusable mess for such a simple lunch order in the middle of Union Square. As good as our meal actually was. I can’t recommend this place."

"We showed up for brunch and there was NO ONE there. Luckily, the CEO was there for Blu and gave us coffee and was very nice to us while we were waiting for the bartender/server to show up (he was late getting to work). Their online menu and times are not updated. With that said, the food was good."

"Overall Blu was a good place for a casual but more refined lunch. Food was good and there were good healthy options. While the view and dining area are nice the smell coming from the gym area on the way in is a little of setting."

"Good basic food with a view of market street. We split the hamburger and club sandwich and each were cooked well and tasty. Service was solid if not attentive.

You should realize that this is a bar/restaurant located upstairs in the lobby of a gym so it didn't have the feel of a restaurant more like a small cafe.

I would recommend this place for a quick bite to eat or a drink and appetizers in the bar."
