"It may be hard to find (especially for cab drivers) but is worth the effort. Wonderful food and service and a nice wine list. Very petty contemporary restaurant. Lovely water view but some may find the proximity to the FDR Drive a problem (we did not). Great pasta, shrimp with bacon and swordfish dishes. Will definitely go back."

"I would recommend it as a beautiful looking space. The outdoor porch was really lovely - sitting and watching the boats go by while sipping a cocktail and nibbling appetizers. However, the restaurant itself was like eating in a strip mall venue out of town - did not feel like we were in NYC - and i live here!! The food was good but not amazing - i was expecting a lot more especially given the $$$."

"Beautiful dining room. Creative cocktails. Raw oysters, sweetbreads, octopus, panna cotta, consommé, rabbit, swordfish all delicious. Dessert too. I rarely go back to the same place twice, but if someone suggested Riverpark again I wouldn't be opposed to the notion. Maybe next time we'll sit out on the patio."

"Late-ish for a weeknight (8:15 reservation), there were only a few people in the restaurant besides us. The service was very attentive. We were really glad we decided to share a pasta course, as that was one of the best things we had (the begoli pasta). Salad was also quite nice. The swordfish entree was good, but a bit dense. Lamb entree was excellent. The waiter was helpful with wine choices."

"Usually & truly not given to using superlatives, I feel compelled to write the following: The Red Currant Royale was perfectly chilled and, surprisingly, the currants tasted delicious. My guests enjoyed a Sazerac Old Fashioned and several glasses of Gamay. The Crispy Sweetbreads served with asparagus & poached hen egg was nothing short of amazing & just when I thought this dish could not be surpassed, I was further impressed by the Bacon-wrapped Prawns. A seafood lover, I have never tasted such delicious shrimp! My friends remarked that the Fazio Farm Rabbit and the Beef Sirloin and Brisket met their usual high standards. The presentation of each dish was worthy of a photographer's attention and the service was respectfully attentive."

"As usual everything was very nice BUT I was dismayed by some of the customers' inappropriate attire. A group of about 10 people arrived at the same time we did. We were shocked to see them were dressed in sloppy jeans with shirts hanging outside and sneakers.. I understand that strict dress codes are, in most places, a thing of the past BUT in a restaurant such as River Park, I do not excpect to see people attired in clothihg that looks as though the wearers had rolled out of bed and grabbed the first, and most comfortable, thing they could find. There should be SOME kind of expectation on the part of the restaurant that its guests arrive looking as though they belong in a refined dining atmosphere. Alice T. Pianfetti, Ph.D."

"The menu for lunch is varied and you can either choose the two or three course Prix fix. I had the Hanger Steak which was done perfectly . My husband and I shared the "to die for" french fries. One of the other things I like is that you can get a half portion of many wines by the glass if you want to celebrate but only want a small amount.
The service is as outstanding as for dinner and the restaurant is accommodating to individual needs. Try this place, especially if you drive to the location as there is a parking garage in the building and the parking is validated by the restaurant. This was our third time here and we will be back."

"This was my second trip (and it is a trip to get to Riverpark). It's worth the effort for the serene ambience and lovely river views. The food is excellent and the service friendly and very helpful. The last time our only complaint was that the food came too quickly and we felt rushed by the kitchen when we were looking for a relaxed evening. This time the service was on the slow side (we were at the table for 3 hours) but we were happy with the pace. Our waiter was extraordinarily helpful and we asked him to pair wine with our food. I highly recommend this place for a quiet comfortable evening of excellent food and wine at reasonable prices. It's off the beaten track but they will get a cab for you when you are ready to leave."

"The food was so delicious, seasonal, and fresh. During the meal, I was able to taste the spring pea panna cotta, grilled sardines, grilled chicken entree, banana cake, semifreddo, and house-made ice creams and all were AMAZING! We originally thought we'd sit outside, but seemed like it might be too cool so we opted for in. But it's just as lovely sitting by the water inside. Service was great - really attentive - and, as we'd told them we were there to celebrate my mother-in-law's 70th birthday, the server wished her happy birthday as they seated us and the kitchen sent her dessert out with a single candle and beautifully written message on her dessert plate at the end of the meal. Definitely recommended for a special dinner."

"The service was on point. We were never rushed and the timing between drinks and entrees coming out gave time for conversation, but not enough for you to wonder what happened to your food. "I was pleasantly surprised by Riverview. There is not a lot of exciting restaurants for foodies in the Kips Bay area of Manhattan. We were seated by the window and the view of the East River was great. The wait staff was attentive and the sommelier was knowledgeable. The soup was outstanding as was a couple of pasta dishes we tried. The bar was a little dead at 6:30pm, but then again, it was early.
I would recommend the Riverview for both couples and tourists who want a view the city while they eat. The bill including champagne, dessert and apéritif was a little over $200. Not bad for New York."

"Riverpark is a true urban oasis; there ain't a heck of a lot to choose from in this neighborhood, but Riverpark would still be great in any part of town. Things get "cheffier" at dinner, and I was impressed by the techniques & style on display. Service, while competent, is not quite up to the level of the cuisine. I would visit the lovely Alexandria Center (RP's home) for the view and architecture on it's own; this is among my favorite dining rooms in the city."

"My Husband and I both enjoyed our visit. The food was pretty good, We had the Ribeye the presentation was beautiful.

"This was our second time here; the first time was much better. Sadly, it's gone downhill. Our ribeye for two (or whatever it was), while tender, was also flavorless. Our wine was excellent, but other than the 'tasting', we poured it all by ourselves. The waiter, who was friendly enough, plunked down the second wine glass (having removed it when my husband ordered a JD before dinner)and the wine bottle without pouring.
Tom Colicchio isn't our favorite chef ('weren't crazy about Craft either). Ambiance is his strong suit."

"The service is incredible here. Everyone is friendly and responsive. The great service alone makes me want to come back, but on top of the service the food is fantastic! Beautiful view of the river as you dine. I would recommend the grits, the doughnuts, and the bananas, but truly it would be hard to go wrong considering the variety and quality of food. "My wife and I have dined at Riverpark nearly a dozen times, twice for brunch. Our earlier brunch was the only time we were disappointed, and now our second brunch was a mixed bag. My food was terrific. My wife's was less so. We remain enthusiastic about Riverpark -- the food, the decor, the view, the service -- and someday we'll probably give brunch a third try. It's an excellent restaurant most of the time."

"i work in the bldg. i bring guests here all the time. we always have a good time.
1 thing: waiters shouldn't clear plates until everyone is done. maybe they need to be reminded. it makes the slower eater feel rushed.
other than that everything is wonderful here."

"Place has a knock-out view of the East River with a wonderful outdoor dining space for warm weather.
The decor was great. Quiet and elegant. There was a table with children who were well behaved.
The service was fine but the menu left much to wish for.There certainly should have been more sea food choices since you are on the water.
Was a bit pricey in the evening when we were dining. Had been listed as modest."

Food was nothing to rave about and could use a bit more falvors. Considering a Tom Collichio restaurant thought that will be #1 on the priority list....this doesnt mean it was bad either.

"This was our 5th visit. First for Brunch and every time it just gets better and better! Every aspect of this experience was perfect.... Service was attentive but not overbearing. Food was beyond delicious.... Even the Bloody Mary was simple and yet exactly the way it should be! No gimmicks.... A wonderful visit we will no doubt repeat soon!"
