"After moving to Indy from San Francisco, I've been very disappointed in the restaurant scene in Indy. Mesh is the best restaurant I've found so far! Food was fantastic. The only negative to the restaurant was that it was extremely loud, we could hardly hold a conversation over the noise."

"The time between arrival of salads and the main course was very short. None of our party of 4 had even eaten half their salads when the main courses arrived which made us think they were not cooked to order. The food was good but not outstanding like we had come to expect here. Since we had out of town guests we were disapponted. The waiter apologized and comped desserts."

"We found the restaurant to be very accomodating when we needed to up the number of guests in our reservation. We also had a wonderful waiter that was quite knowledgeable regarding the menu and very helpful. The food was well prepared with great presentation.
If I had complaints they would be the table and the noise level. We were seated downstairs at a round table that felt like the hallway to the dining area with the waiter prep station area beside us. Very noisy!"

"We went to Mesh for Mother's Day brunch. Although we visit Mass Ave several times a year, several of us had never been to Mesh before. It was a wonderful experience. Service was excellent, despite every table being full. There were a couple of children in our group and they thoroughly enjoyed the food they chose from the children's menu. All of the adults chose different menu items and all proclaimed the food as wonderful. Wine, beer and drink options were many and varied. Cost was reasonable. I can't think of one complaint. We will definitely go back again."

"Mesh was a very nice experience, with service that was really good. Server recommended what was a great dinner. My companion had scallops/butternut squash risotto, excellent. The roast chicken was deboned and crisped, with a wonderful potato mash, with carrots, beans and a little onion. The madeira sauce was the icing on the cake."

"This was our first visit. The atmosphere is very nice. . The service once we were seated was impeccable. The lobster bisque was one of the best I have had and it had a lot of lobster pieces. My husband had the soup of the day which was a french onion mushroom soup and he seemed pretty happy with it. We both ordered the steak frites. I ordered my steak well done and he ordered his medium. Both had to be sent back and this was even after they had butterflied his steak to begin with. We quickly got them back but they still cooked as ordered. The steaks were seasoned beautifully and were very tasty, The frites were ordinary although the aioli was excellent. Would definitely go back and give it a second try. Management was very attentive."

"Our table of six chose a variety of entrees, all that were excellent. Tasty burgers, delicous steak salad, excellent filet. However, visiting at our round table of six was difficult as we couldn't hear each other. We at first thought it was the table of eight next to us with the bachelorette group having an enjoyable time. However, when a new party of eight was seated by us who weren't loud, we realized that it was our table location. Don't sit by the brick wall at a round table!
Would we visit again? Yes but we'll check out the seating location first!"

"Mesh was nothing short of spectacular. We started off with drinks, then ordered a cheese plate for an appetizer. Both were amazing; the cheese plate was recommended by our server which did not disappoint. For the entree I had the filet, which was one of the best steaks I had ever had. It was cooked perfectly, and the sides were amazing. The menu had different options for seafood, vegetarian plates, chicken, etc... I definitely plan on going back."

"We were in INDy for a conference, and chose MESH for its website appeal. the place is lovely-warm, open bar area, out door seating, and smaller quiet areas within that allow for normal-voice conversation!
The efood was overall very good-interesting preparations and presentation. The Wedge was delightful!! The Prok Chop big, but tender and juicy. Our server was knowledgable and helpful. I would recommend and would return. Many Thanks!"

"MESH is a great break from midwestern steakhouses in terms of creative menu choices. The dining atmosphere is relaxed, new and with enough space around tables to feel comfortable. Pleasant and smiling wait-staff helped with wine and food pairing.

"The six of us could not have been more pleased with the ambiance, cocktails, wine choices and mains. All of the entrées were superb and cooked to perfection, from the filet mignon to the lamb to the nairagi, gemelli and sides. The service was excellent. Period. The short, relaxing walk (20 min) from the Sheraton to Mesh on Mass was lovely and refreshing both ways after dark on a Friday night, and a perfect alternative to dining outside the main downtown ring of chain restaurants. I highly recommend Mesh for a refreshing dining experience."

"I ordered the halibut special at $26...almost laughed when it came out. While it was good, there should have been something else on the plate for the price. Thankfully, I had the lobster bisque first which was wonderful. And the person I dined with had a very good meal - I sampled it too. So I will return but I will be more careful about what I order."

"I brought a few colleagues who were in from out of town. They were very pleased with my choice. When we were deciding on appetizers I insisted on adding the Mushroom Strudel to the order despite their less than enthusiastic response. Every one of them commented on how delicious it was. Mesh is consistently my go to place to bring out-of-towners and when I am just getting together for a beverage and apps with girlfriends."

"Went to Mesh on a Monday night when the restaurant wasn't very crowded so I'm sure the experience on the weekend is probably different. For me, it was just another restaurant that looks and feels like a fun and "hip" place to be, but the food was just ok, some of it not good at all. So many chefs are trying to do something different with food instead of keeping tastes simple and fresh. My friend had the pork chop, which was excellent, but it had "pork belly" on the side which was a huge chunk of uncooked fat. Why?
My crabcakes were fishy and I sent them back. The steak and lobster was a good steak topped with lobster all chopped up tossed with a bunch of something that looked orange? Dessert was excellent, bread pudding with Graeter'"

"The food was incredible! My out of town guests wrote me an email, about how much they enjoyed our dinner and how fabulous they thought the food was!
The service was impeccable and the Manager dropped by as well, to see how we were enjoying our meal.
The atmosphere was lovely. I've heard great things about Mesh and so happy I selected it for myself and my out of town guests. They were very impressed, as was I!"

"Excellent food, but the noise level makes conversation difficult. The food and the service were very good (understanding that our waiter was also attending a large group during the second half of our meal. I have always enjoyed Mesh, but the management needs to look into noise dampening. I expect more noise in the bar area, but the dining should be below a roar. This is the second time I've had this experience. So, hopefully they will address this volume issue. Otherwise, I will only dine during the outdoor dining season."

"Imaginative menu with mix of some old standards and new ideas. Meals arrived well prepared with manageable portions. Good, if rather short, list of beers offered. Interior decor modern and tasteful but understated almost to the point of being bland -- think of it as intended not to distract from either your dining companions or the food. Sound level was low and pleasant, allowing easy conversations. Service was attentive and informed."

"I went for lunch with a couple of friends. Since I don't eat beef or fish/seafood, I found the current menu a bit of a challenge. It's also not very extensive. I ended up having the potato soup -- which was good. My friends seemed happy with their burgers. The fries could have been crispier, though. We all thought the price was a bit much for what we had. The service was okay, but too slow for lunch. If you don't have anywhere to be; and you like a more "adventurous" menu, you might like this place."

"I met several college sorority sisters to celebrate a 60th. birthday for brunch/lunch. We had fabulous service and were left to sit for about three hours without anyone hovering over us - we did not feel unwelcome to stay so long. The food was very good and our server was one of the best I've ever had!!"

"I started with the delicious beet salad. I then had perfectly cooked lambchops with a wonderful bread pudding. Both were excellent. The accompanying vegetables with the lambchop were too salty for my taste.

"I was a little disappointed in the service this time around. mesh is normally one of my favorite restaurants. I dropped my fork when we first got there, told the waiter, and we had to ask three times for another one (I didn't get one until after the food had been served and we asked two more times). We ordered the french fries as an appetizer and they were never brought out - just our dinner came out, and there was no mention of the french fries. We didn't bring it up but we did make sure we weren't charged for them. I also felt rushed at the beginning to make a drink selection. I think more time should have been given."

"After a bad experience in the bar while waiting for our table, the rest of the experience was positive. The server was very attentive, the food was good and the manager came and checked on us a couple of times. We were celebrating an anniversary, so they even provided free dessert. "Had high expectations for Mesh, but everything ended up being just "meh". First, while our waiter was nice and mostly attentive, he *read* the menu to us. I HATE that! I can read for myself! Secondly, he didn't even know that there were two specials that evening: I only knew because I heard the waiter at the next table describing a duck dish. (In truth, it would have been better if I hadn't heard/asked about the duck because it was awful)! As for the food: all of it was sooooo salty! The concepts are there, but there was just something wrong in the preparation of almost everything."
