"Got a half price coupon from Travelzoo. Made it a great price. Great food, good service. The only thing I found inconvenient was that there was only one burner. With four people if you didn't want the same thing they couldn't give your table 2 cheeses or 2 broths or two chocolates at the same time. What's up with that?"

"This is not our first occasion to dine at La Fondue, but it had been quite a while since we had been there last for dinner. I love going here, and being the Chef for the night. Great selection of meats, and vegetables (although the vegetables had been pre-cooked, which really detracted from their taste, but a lot of people don't like crisp vegetables). The service was outstanding!

"Read lots of reviews, mostly negative, but got Travel Zoo vouchers and went for it! My family had a great time. Had a reservation on a saturday night, got seated right away. Tons of food, served at a nice pace, overall enjoyed the restaurant, we would go there again. Only negative was with all the heated cooking surfaces the restaurant got VERY hot, uncomfortably so. The last 1/3 of the meal was a bit tough to get through with the heat."

"A four course gastronomic adventure, starting with a choices of cheese fondues, salads, a variety of excellent seafood, beef, chicken, lamb cooked at the table (by you), and finished off with choice of chocolate fondues. A lot of fun creating and cooking your own meals. Relaxed atmosphere with good bar and excellent wine selection. Prix fix menu with ability to improvise. Excellent service, good atmosphere, good meal at a very reasonable price."

"Commendable service and ambiance, but the food quality was inconsistent. The cheese course made at-table was excellent, as was the salad. With the meat course, the cooking broth was delicious, the seafood and chicken were fine, but the quality of the beef was not up to standard. The filet mignon had a somewhat funky, gamey taste, and the sirloin was tough and chewy, even when cooked medium. The chocolate fondue for dessert also left something to be desired. It came pre-made, and the flavor of the milk chocolate caramel was reminiscent of one of those chocolate fountains at some buffet, rather than a gourmet chocolate dish fit for a foodie. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, but for a special occasion I would recommend an alternative."

"Overall I was very disappointed with La Fondue. The ambience and decor was that of a Village Inn. There were watermarks running down the walls and there was crusty food stuck throughout the tiled table. My boyfriend and I ordered cocktails and after a rather long wait we were notified the bar was out of key ingredients in each of our cocktails. Our waitress made drink recommendations; however, we did not receive any discount for this inconvience. The food was only OK. If you are looking for fondue, the Melting Pot is a FAR better experience and even more affordable."

"A very nice evening after a play at The Stage in Denver. Husband, daughter, her S.O., and I dined in the corner window, wonderful lighting, comfortable, and so cozy. We loved our experience there, the wait staff was excellent, and the fondue, wine, and drinks were delicious. We'll come again, for sure!"

"This is a fun place to eat with friends for something different. Ted was our waiter and he was awesome! The food is good, but you are really paying for the experience of fondue. The chocolate & the cheese course are probably my favorite. The restaurant itself could use an update as some of it is looking a little dated. But overall its a good place to have a social dinner or a date :)"

"The evening ended well due to our great waiter, but, the 40 minute wait on seating even with reservations made a week prior was not a good start. The noise level was high and the restaurant could not possibly add another seat, it was quite crowded. The the hostesses knew nothing of OpenTable's "Be sure to check in with the maitre d' when you arrive. Upon dining, you will receive 100 OpenTable Points." As a first time OpenTable user and first time to La Fondue, I'm not sure that I would recommend either to anyone. We will definitely check out other local fondue eateries next time."

"We went to La Fondue on Mother's Day with not so high expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the service and quantity of food to be honest. Don't read too many reviews, give this place a chance. We are very frequent diners around Denver. Now this place ambiance wise is not The Melting Pot. Think more like a calm evening at a chain. Its very bright and the crowds are more groups out to socialize. Gave it a chance and it did well by my standards. I would reccommend it to anyone who isnt looking for a romantic style night out. Very good spot for a group of friends. We enjoyed the food and found it very much what we expected to pay for fondue dining. We left stuffed and enjoyed our evening. Give it a shot. You will probably enjoy it."

"My husband, myself and our two teenaged daughters arrived early for our reservation, exhausted and freezing after a harrowing drive thru the mountains. We were seated as soon as a table was ready. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly. He gave us good recommendations for food and wine. Our family lingered over a relaxing meal and enjoyed each others company immensely. The service perfectly complimented the meal; our fondue's were quickly exchanged out when emptied, but we were never rushed along. We will certainly dine here again!"

"We have been coming to La Fondue a couple times a year for well over 10 years. We made our 5:30 reservation via open table, and in the comments ask for seating on the windows. We go there prior to attending the Colorado Symphony, and the early seating is helps insure adequate time for all of the Fondue courses, and better seating. Upon arrival, we were refused seating on the window. We were told that only a party of 4 can be seated on the windows. (we are a part of 2) 3 minutes after we were seated, in a booth that I could hardly fit into, a party of two was seated at one of the two open tables on the window. 3 minutes later another party of two was seated on the windows. Tell me no, but don't bold face lie to me, very disrespectful!"

"When we got there- it wasn't the typical Abiance that I was expecting at a fondue resturaunt. Once seated- our burner wasn't working so- they placed another burner on top of the broken one and literally crawled under the table to plug it in. I literally had to get up. They should have just re-seated us. The people in the booth next to us were playing techno music on their phones loudly- the staff never said anything to them. Was a trashy way to eat dinner. Once finished with our meats- it took them 25 minutes to bring us our chocolate. Then to top it all off, we have a $100 visa gift card and they could only charge $75-$80 on it and waiter said numerous times "you can just put the rest towards gratuity" Complete scam and waste of $120."

"Amazing Food! We had the four course meal which I had purchase a voucher for on TravelZoo for $49 (worth $112 i think). We started with a salad of our choice then we enjoyed the applewood smoked cheddar bacon fondue "appetizer" which was amazing, it was served with vegetables, pieces of various breads and granny smith apply chunks. for my main course I had the fish selection which included shrimp, lobster ravioli, salmon, and sesame crusted tuna, we chose the red wine infused cooking method which had shallots and mushrooms in it. And the best of all was of course dessert for which we had the dark chocolate nutella it was incredible, served with pound cake, strawberries, cheesecake, brownies. pineapple, marshmallows it was amazing!!!"

"We made our reservations for La Fondue before we went online and read all the reivews, some of which were pretty bad. So, needless to say, we went in with low expectations. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good, the service was better, the place seemed clean, and decently well run. I didn't ever see any sort of manager, but the wait staff did a fine job, so we didn't need a manager. I think the price is pretty high for what you get, so I was glad we had gotten an online deal that was basically 50% off. Given the price, and difficulty of parking downtown (we got a $75 ticket even though we had paid at the parking lot), we won't be going often, but I can see us going for special occasions."

"My husband and I had been wanting to try a Fondue restaurant for quite a while and finally had the opportunity for our 1st anniversary. From the hostess to the busser the service was excellent. Our server Gigi explained the whole fondue process with great description. She also made excellent pairing suggestions for the cheese and main courses. We were greeted at the door with a Happy Anniversary and a smile. The night was just perfect and more than we could have hoped for. We definitely plan to go back and bring some friends or family."

"We had an 8:00 reservation. When we arrived we were told it would be about a 10 minute wait until our table was ready. At 30 minutes we were told they were cleaning our table. At 45 minutes we were seated and after another 10 minutes greeted and drink orders taken. While I understand that it is a busy night I have never experienced that long of a wait when a reservation was made in advance."

"The experience itself was nice and we had a great time interacting with our group during the meal. However, there seemed to be some misunderstandings about:
-Two entrees were served on one plate (the two people were not seated next to each other)
-Table was not prepared (there was not any water in the fondue leading to additional wait time)"

"I made reservations for my wife and my anniversary. I requsted some special service for the special occasion. We arrived, nothing special was set up like other restraunts I have been too. We waited for approx 30 minutes until a waitress saw us looking around. One finally came over and ask us if we have been helped. She started to assist. Passed on to the waitress that was assigned to the section. From there the serivice was OK. Food was good and it ended up nice except we had to worry about parking meter b/c it took to long for the service to begin. I will come back but not for a special occasion such as anniversary. Thanks"

"The food was great. We notified them that we were using a prepaid voucher from Travelzoo, which included two glasses of wine (up to $8 each). There are probably only 5 wines in that price range, but it was fine. When the bill came, I was told I'd have to pay for one of the glasses of wine ($8) beacuse "that one didn't count". I'm not going to argue over $8 in front of my date, but the experience will make me choose another restaurant in the future."

"Always a pleasure for my wife and I to dine at La Fondue. Being a Sunday evening it was a quiet evening except for a small group of baseball fans dining before going home. Fondue by its nature is a slow paced dining experience as the cook it yourself takes time. With multiple courses, we spent 2+hours enjoying the food and experience. Our waitstaff was attentive and kept the pace of the course from stacking up on each other. The entree selection provides choices for all types of appetites and with a chocolate selection for dessert the total evening was a hit. With tables having a single heat source, it provides for an intimate quiet experience loaded with conversation. Great way to spend special time with a special person!"

"Reservation was for 4:30 on Sat night. Two other couples were waiting when we got there. Staff was "getting ready" and guests finally shown to their tables at 4:50. At 5, my daughter walked back to the hostess stand to see if we had a waitress as other tables were already giving their orders. Took 3 tries to get the cheese fondue to mix. Kitchen forgot to put corn starch in it. Waitress finally had it prepared in the kitchen instead of fixing it tableside. Took forever for broth to heat up enough to cook the meat entree. Meat was not the best quality. Chocolate fondue was cold when brought out and, again, took forever to heat up enough to serve. Reservations at 4:30 - left restaurant at 7:20. Way too long for a dinner."
