"Extremely noisy/loud with folks seated at a table adjacent to the bar actually screaming! No ambience whatever...feels like you are dining in a warehouse. We felt bad for the server who did his best with not much to work with. The bus boy however, was curt and near rude! "Special" tri-color tortellini with shrimp came with very little color and NO shrimp! Had to wait quite a bit for the correct dinner to be brought out and then only the shrimp were okay. Pasta was drowning in what looked, and what's worse, tasted, like Spahetti-Os! The rib eye "special" was smothered with a thick dark gravy covering the fatty, inedible portions of the cut. Manager and Server were solicitous and apologetic but too little too late! . We will not return"

"We went out for a family dinner with our adult children since we were all together (one child lives out of town). Since it was a Sunday evening, it was not very crowded. Our service was wonderful and the food was delicious!"

"The food was good, and the service was above average. But the real highlight of the night was the belly dancer. They had a legit belly dancer that came out and danced with a sword and everything. It was very entertaining. Also, all drinks (except beer) were half off after 7pm.
The floor plan is very open, so while it wasn't incredibly noisy when we were there, I can imagine it becoming noisy."

"Food was mediocre. My wife had fish which wasn't the freshest and a bit overlooked. I had the chicken souvlaki, which was made from dark meat. That could be ok, but it too was overlooked and dry and tough, and overwhelmed by the spices. Service was ok, but not the most attentive."

"Super Thursday night spot! Both of my girlfriends and I ordered the crab dip, which was just perfect: creamy and tasty! The ambiance was very nice, not too crowded but yet busy enough to give us the "going out" feeling. The service was fast, yet discreet, and the portions were just as needed."

"7 West normally had very good food but wings were over cooked and coconut shrimp was too. Love the Raspertini's. I will not visit 7 West again becuase of the 18% gratuatity being added because it is Happy Hour and you have to pay to park if you come early. Not worth it. Thanks but no thanks."

"As I was searching for a better dinner option for a Friday night outing with my husband, I came across 7 west, and it might just have become our new spot to relax after work. I was surprised to find fresh and affordable oysters, a great happy hour menu offering all kinds of tasty little treats (such as calamari), and a very interesting and diverse regular menu. We sat at a cozy and quiet table with a real candle! what a treat!"

"Nice happy hour specials, including during brunch time, but food is nothing special. Service was very slow despite the restaurant being almost dead (three other tables over the course of two hours). After plates were cleared, we waited for 10+ minutes for the check, and eventually walked to the bar to get it; then, we waited 10+ minutes for the check to be taken to process the credit card, and had to eventually just ask a different waitress to assist; then, it took 5+ minutes to get the check with the card back. I would recommend this place only if you really want something on their menu or are looking for a Towson happy hour."

"Food was good although some of our dinners had obviously been sitting in the window for awhile which made the quality much poorer. The service was slow and the food took a very long time to arrive, at least 30 minutes for appetizers and another 45 minutes til dinners came ( after we asked to check on them). It was a Friday and the happy hour was packed in the bar because they have a great happy hour but it made the restaurant very loud and could barely talk with our friends without shouting. They have valet too but just one young man racing around so leave time to get your car as well. The whole experience for us was 2 hours between arrival and departure; we were going to a comedy show but arrived so late there was no seating left."

"Food is excellent- nice hot baked bread with olive oil for dipping- olive oil needs a little salt, garlic and pepper, alittle bland... best Md crab soup- enough for a meal-big bowl...spicy-lots of veggies and some crabmeat.... you can't order a cup- Grilled Lamb chops melt in your mouth and seasoned to perfection...comes with roasted potatoes and greek style string beans, very good greek salad, served chilled- everything is fresh... Service - all dishes whisked away- only criticism is that all the dishes came out so fast and we felt a little rushed- dinner in just 40- 45 min."

"My girlfriend and I have come here a couple times for dinner. This time, we started with the Greek and Caesar salads. The Greek salad was absolutely phenomenal, and this is coming from two Caesar salad lovers. We followed that up with eggplant parmigiana and spaghetti, which were both exactly the home-style Italian food one would expect. The huge portions made great leftovers the next day."

"The food was mediocre. The pita bread in every dish was overlooked or stale - either way, it was crunchy in random spots. The service was awful. From when I got seated to when a server finally came by the first time was about 20 minutes. That was the least amount of time between server appearances - most of the time it was 30+ minutes. The restaurant was nowhere near full an there were multiple servers, they just weren't attentive at all.
There was no offer made to split the check, even for larger groups, so plan ahead.
The only reason I stayed was for the live bellydancing, which was amazing. I would not go back to this location otherwise. The venue itself is really lovely and well laid out, but the food and service were not."

"One of our party told the waitress that she couldn't have fried food and fried onion rings showed up on her plate. That was the only food comment. The only other complaint was that it was very cool at our table. We had to wear our coats the whole time. Our waitress wasn't as attentive as she should have been. We waited too long for drink refills.
Loved the piano player during the dinner hour. Very relaxing. Conversation flowed and the music was a nice touch.

"Manager is attentive, friendly, interacts with customers, and wants you to have a good dining experience. Crab cakes have had a history of being excellent, but I believe a different chef slipped on adding some extra filler. I suggest they watch this, or raise the price of this dish. "I was disappointed to find out that they didn't have the Mahi after the order went in, but my salad with seared tuna was a welcome replacement. They prepared it as I requested, raw in the middle and the tuna was very fresh.
The place is huge but was practically empty because we were there late on a Sunday night. So I can't really speak to the noise level or the bar scene."

"My first time there. My friend and I were there to get caught up so once we told our server he was very accommodating. He had extensive knowledge of menu items and cocktails. "This restuarant was a pleasant surprise with cello/guitar duo. Great ambiance, helpful and friendly waiter/hostess. My 7 West martini was awesome. My pasta dish was excellence; the only draw back was the extremely long wait for the food to arrive once my order was taken. I was with friends that I hadn't seen for a while so it wasn't too bad (chatting and catching up) but if It was just 2 ppl and hungry it would have been cause for walking out."

"Waited over a hour for our appetizers. Waiter was rude when I asked about having our bill reflect the service and stated everyone else had to wait also. I was dinning with my fiance not everyone else! Apparently they threw away our order ticket in back and had to come back and retack our order. What a happy valentines day!"

"Consistently good food - we go there a lot for lunch and dinner. This evening we enjoyed burger night special, and also that special summer salad. There was a pleasant crowd there on a Monday night in February and it was not noisy."

"My third visit to 7 West Bistro and I continue to appreciate the good food, excellent service from our waiter, Martin, and general ambience. The dinner music could have been just a tad louder but it was a nice touch. Am definitely coming back. Keep up the good work."

"While we enjoyed the food, the service was very slow. We got the shrimp appetizer which was great. For mains, the crab ravioli and crab cake (which was huge) and great. Dessert, the baklava was excellent. The only complaint about the restaurant was just the wait for the food."

"I have been here several times now and have yet to be disappointed with the food! everything I have tried has been excellent. Waited a bit long for check and receipt, but that has been an isolated incident in all the times that I have been there. Will definitely be returning!"

"The crab cakes here are among the best in Baltimore and that is saying a lot! Lots of lump crab with little if any filler and so large that most of us took part home with us. The accompanying vegetables were very fresh and good. Our waiter that night was forgetful and not very knowledgeable but that won't deter us from coming back because most of the wait staff is usually much better. The prices are reasonable considering the quality."
