Now open, Cossu, meaning “Plush", is located on Broadway (at Polk) in San Francisco (the previous site of Pasha). Offering a modern, eclectic range of flavors, Cossu takes California Cuisine and reinvents it. The new menu created by Executive Chef, Hicham Senhaji combines classic French techniques, Asian flavors and his native Moroccan touches, with the elegance and beauty of California Cuisine to create this fusion menu. Bathed in rich fabrics of wine and copper, the setting is warm and romantic. The canopy of satin overhead is crowned by an ornate hand carved ceiling center piece. "Cossu had a great atmosphere that gives you a Moroccan styled clothed draped oasis tent feel, but the seating arrangements are a bit too close together for the average American's standards of privacy. The small tables and chairs made it difficult to get comfortable or enjoy any sense of romantic dining. Granted it was Valentine's day on my arrival and the staff was quite busy, but the food was cold and the drinks slow to arrive. I can't recall any one element of the food that I would describe as standing out as delicious. Cossu would be a fun place for friends to hang with some red wine and watch the belly dancers, but it lacks the stimulating ambiance that is needed to create a romantic occasion."

"It was quite disappointing as I called earlier in the day to find out when the belly dancer would be dancing and was told 7pm. When my family got there, it was changed to 8:15. We left at 7:45pm and were asked why we were not staying for the show. We had already been there almost 2 hours..... Being we had a been there several times and Pasha is one of our favorite places to eat, we were HIGHLY disappointed with the food. We will NOT visit this restaurant again."
