"Bistro worthy of visiting. Trout with french beans had great flavors and cooked to perfection. Pork chop awesome. Prices are very reasonable, staff attentive, a real neighborhood gem. Parking in back of restaurant a plus."

"This was my second visit to Chloe. While I live in Ballard, many of my friends live around the University District. U Village has restaurants, but all - with the exception of perhaps Piatti ($$$$) - serve marginal food. Chloe's food is delicious! Truly French food, right proportioned, beautifully presented, moderately priced. The wine list is small, but of good quality.
It's nice to dine on a white table linens, on a table that's beautifully yet simply set. It's wonderful to be able to enjoy good conversation, too, without having to yell! GO HERE as an alternative to the Village! Easy parking on the street, and much better food!
I plan on making Chloe my 'go-to' place while in U Village or it's surrounds, visiting friends!"

"A neighborhood gem I overlooked, as most of my friends living in the area head my way (Ballard) to try one of our many outstanding restaurants.
Better than Jak's (no offense, WAY too loud with 'standard' food), better than most places in the U Village area, and definately better than anything around University Avenue.
I'd put it on par to Le Pichet, downtown's wonderful, delicious, affordable family French food focused restaurant. Chloe is less 'relaxed' than Le Pichet (nicer decor by far), well lit, and a great place for the 'girls' to dine together, spoiling each other, or for a romantic night out with your significant other.
I ate there before a UW Event with a friend, and plan on bringing my husband next."

"My wife liked the food whereas I did not. The place is not expensive but not cheap either. Service was mostly good but with a few hiccups. Overall, I felt that the place was a bit overpriced for what it actualy offered. My wife loved it, though, and she is more restaurant savvy than I am. So go figure."

"Booked a Tuesday night at 7:30pm for a party of 4. Our friends got there early and served water. The server did not come back to get drink orders until after we got there. We ordered drinks and got them. After a few mins were given the specials of the night. At 7:50 we ordered two apps. Then we were told that the kitchen was closing in 10 mins so we would need to order our entire meal. So much for a relaxing evening catching up with friends. We asked if we ordered if we could take our time and was told something about keep some staff "on the clock". REALLY?? We had our apps and left. Went to Jaks and had a lovely meal. We like good wine and food and what this guy didn't realize is that he lost around over $400 in business that night."

"I ordered the hanger steak which was a bit tough and chewy. It was my friend's birthday and they brought her a yummy creme brulee with a candle - much appreciated!"

"The food was fantastic, the people were amazing, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of everything. I barely wanted to leave and can't wait to go back."

"On a weeknight the restaurant was quiet and we were able to have such a relaxed visit that we almost missed the theater. Both the trout almandine and the cassoulet were well prepared. Mixed green salad with tangy dressing was the perfect accompaniment. Although only a few wines were served by the glass, we enjoyed our choice. We will definitely return."
