Welcome to Detroit"s premier Seafood Market. Our restaurant specializes in serving fresh and exciting entries that will not only excite the eyes but tantalize the taste buds. Our Chef is the renowned Chef Leonardo Vulja, who has over 25 years of fine dining experience.
The restaurant itself sits in the Historic District of Harmonie Park. It is a quaint yet alive park which sits less than a mile from the Tiger Stadium and Lions Stadium. We are also position with in two to three miles of all major downtown venues.
We are excited to offer a more laid back venue adjacent to the restaurant the Detroit Seafood Lounge. This is a smooth, laid back lounge for the Young, Old and Sexy. Just the place to head to for an after work drink or a relaxing weekend with friends.

"Our first time there. we went with our good friends and met outside. we reserved our table three days prior and this is the only way to go. we were greeted at least four different times while we waited to be seated. this is a plus as we were acknowledge. we were sat at the table we requested A+++. our waiter was David , our friend actually read the reviews and David was the #1 choice. aim not a big seafood guy but by the time David gets done explaining the menu to you everything sounds good. David knew not only the food selection but also the wine selection.
The bottom line we had a great time, price was reasonable, the staff was great to us and we would return again."

"We arrived at 6 PM, with a 7:30 opera reservation. We ordered at 6:10. Wine and bread arrived (but not as quickly as promised). Periodically the waiter came by to say our food would be up in 'just a minute'. At 6:35 he said '3 minutes'. It arrived at 6:55. We gobbled, which was too bad, because it was really good (although the mahi was a little dry). Another couple at the table next to ours had ordered twenty minutes before we did--they never got served, and left, paying for their iced teas.
It will be a long time before we go back there--especially if we have a deadline."

"My mom, sister and I went Mother's Day, so we were expecting it to be a little busy. However the service we receive when we first got there was horrible! When we first walked in there was no one at post so we waited about 10 mins. There were alot of people at the bar so my mom asked them if someone was suppose to come and they said they been waiting to be seated for almost 40mins and another for 30mins. Than my sister went to talk to someone. At first nothing happen but than when I asked to speak to the manger everyone came at once. After that things went smoother. I had the "Fryed Loster" it tasted great but make such you ask for lemons. Our waiter David was amzaging!!!!"

"They can't cook a med. or Med. rare steak, so only order seafood. They tried to cook me a Med. rare steak twice and they both came out Med. Well or Well done. And also the desserts are not very good either! We had a party of 7 and NO ONE enjoyed their dessert, so save your $$$$."

"While ambience and decor was very nice, the service was POOR!! My husband and I took my mother for Mothers Day because she wanted lobster. First of all, it took forever to be served appetizers and even longer to receive our entrees. My nine-year old daughter was irritable and very hungry. The food while presented nicely and fairly tasty was not in proportion with the price. The server did offer an apology for the slow service. However, apologizing for being busy was not a good excuse considering it was not that crowded at the time we arrived and that it was Mother's Day which most restaurants are prepared for a very good business day."

"I have been to this restaurant several times before; however this time the food was no very well prepared. The meat prepared for my dish was over cook and slightly burnt. I was truly shocked by the preparation. I had a celebration here for my Mother's Birthday therefore we had a nice size party. I felt that due to the fact the server was guaranteed his gratuity that he lacked in service performance. Very disappointed in the service received; I had guest who had never been at your restaurant who commented on the food and service being awful. The comment was presented to me, " We are paying a lot of money for this poor service and food accommodation." I picked up the tab because I felt horrible about their experience."

"The food was SUPERB, price was reasonable, however I will NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. I WILL ALSO LET MY 1085 FACEBOOK FRIENDS KNOW ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE We were a party of 6, our waiter was nice but made about 6 mistakes with our orders, we were kind to him, because we just figured he was new. Our bill was 246, we all paid cash except one person asked for 50 to be debited from her card,signed a receipt for 50 (Friday night), while routinely checking her balance on Sunday night found that the entire 246 was placed on her card!!! After a few phone calls to the restaurant on Monday, she was assured it would be corrected and reflect on Mon night/Tues morn. Well on WED the entire 246 had been placed BACK ON HER CARD!!! Still unresolved!!"

"Restraunt was just ok. Upon arrival we where wisked awaythrough a hall way that took us into a bar in the building next door to the restaurant and they sat us in a booth away from the entire bar and restraunt area that was secluded and the service was terrible just to get a few drinks. Then when our table was ready they came and rescued us and escorted us back to a booth in the restaurant. Cant understand why we where not allowed to go directly to the bar in the actual restaurant ?"

"From the moment you walk in you feel transported to an era almost forgotten. The wonderful piano player, the ambiance but most importantly the staff. I enjoyed every moment of sitting in the high back booths and wondering what was going behind the curtains of the private booth.
The food was a wonderful surprise. Appetizers and Entrees you think you know well but when they come to your table the fresh ingredients and the subtle twists on the classics leave you wanting more.

"Four of us went for DRW. I was leery after reading very mixed reviews about the service and the food, but I am glad the opinions of others didn't make us shy away from this gem. First the food was excellent. We had the thai chicken, lobster bisque and crab croquettes appetizers - all outstanding. Tilapia, salmon and Delmonico steak for the main course and again all were outstanding. The chocolate lava cake for dessert was something I will dream about. Our waiter, Anthony, was very friendly and didn't miss a best. I can't imagine there's a bad seat in the house although I was very happy we were seated in a booth which had high backs and pulled back curtains, which made our meal seem almost private."

"To point out the positives, I enjoyed the food. The music to and the atmosphere was pretty good. Besides that, the services was not what I expected that restaurant to have. My wife and I waited for 30 minutes for our table, even though we made reservations. The staff (people bringing bread and water) were not very polite, even when told "Thank You". I would not recommend that place because for what is charged, one would think they would have a better service experience."

"My friends and I had a great night. The food and music were wonderful. The busboy spilled water on my friend and it got all over her jacket. Nothing was done about it. The waiter saw and didn't say anything...He could at least offered to comp her drink or something. Her chair and the floor needed to be mopped up. When the water was spilled another water was never brought to her either. I was expecting good to great service.
The food came out fast and we were done in an hour. Wow!"

"This restaurant was not what we expected and we won't be back. The food was mediocre and the service was okay. My boyfriend ended up without an entree since he sent his very over cooked stuffed salmon back and then proceeded to wait another 40 min for his new order. At the end of our dinner, we realized that they were turning the dining area into a "night club". There were many people in club attire standing around, almost hovering over us."

"A group of three of us went there on a Tuesday evening for Detroit Restaurant week after work. Our waiter was very attentive. The food was very good as well and the overall quality and portion was similar to what you would get on a normal night without the special menu. The place is a little loud as there is live music, so if you are looking for a quiet evening I would suggest going somewhere else."

"Came for Detroit restaurant week. If the minimal selection menu for the event was any indication of the full scale menu, I can't wait to come back. Crab croquettes were great appetizers, lanugoustine alfredo was somewhat ordinary but still delicious and the lava cake for dessert was rich and tasty. Also tried the thai chicken appetizer, also very good.
Atmosphere was odd. Kids are welcome, they just seem kinda out of place.
Service was spectacular. Slightly slow but it was the height of dinner time so it was acceptable. Didn't pressure anything."

"Although it was "Restaurant Week" Detroit Seafood Company did not plan for a full restaurant. For our 8:00 reservation we were seated at almost 9:00. We were seated in their lounge to wait which made it more comfortable. Our meals were very good, but the service was terrible; slow and unprofessional. There was a long wait in between courses; appetizer plates NEVER cleared away; bill arrived before dessert; had to call over a different waiter to inquire where our desserts were as other tables who ordered after us had already been served. A women in a dress (not waitstaff) FINALLY delivered dessert; no forks. When I inquired about our waiter, she replied curtly. "He is running". Running where?? Not in the restaurant! Sad situation."

"I understand the restaurant is very busy during Detroit Restaurant Week, but it's no excuse for skipping reservations... My fiance and I showed up for our 6:45 reservation at 6:40 and were told they were slightly behind schedule. We went to wait in the lounge and have a drink. Every group already in the lounge was called to a table, and then couples after us were called. My fiance went up to the computer, and sure enough, we were skipped. We weren't seated until about 7:20 after talking to a manager. The food was amazing, so I have zero complaints there! But, our night was topped off by a parking ticket we received about 10min before we finished dinner. If we were seated on time, no ticket..."
