Reserve is proud to present Grand Rapids with our homage to Wine, Pork, Cheese and even more wine! Executive Chef Matt Millar has developed a network of purveyors to supply Reserve with hand-selected, seasonal produce, pork, Michigan raised lamb, beef and fish to anchor a locally driven rustic yet refined menu of simple, eclectic fare. Our goal at Reserve is to source the best possible product as close to home as possible. Our Charcuterie bar will serve up local and international cheeses and meats along with Reserve exclusives, house made sausages, terrines, and pates. The extensive international wine list was developed by certified sommelier Peter Marantette. The list features 102 wines by the glass and a bottle list of nearly 300 selections. Artisan cocktails and a focused craft beer list round out a unique dining experience here at Reserve.

"There were four of us on an off-site work outing. We chose The Reserve for lunch because of its proximity to the Grand Rapids Museum. The menu was fun, we all found something to suite our tastes, and there were no complaints (not an easy thing to accomplish with this small group!). The pork fat fries were awesome!!"

"Good location for a quick bite before a show, but they are not very fast so keep that in mind. Food portions can be very small; smaller than upscale small. Some dishes I have had were good and others were either too salty (current trout on the menu), lacked the needed accompaining veggie (such as the tiny bit of spinach in the side rice), or were missing something (parsnip soup - what about adding parsnip chip or some surprising taste like pear?). The ambiance is very nice but they need to step it up with the food and service to match. The wine list is good."

"Good addition to West Michigan restaurant scene with a distinctive menu and great modern decor. At the same time, although we had reserved a month in advance and asked for one of the quieter areas, we were placed in one of the busiest areas. Small plates and salads were very good (especially the Heirloom salad), but the Yorkshire pudding which came with the dry-aged steak was undercooked and both were covered with a light cream sauce which didn't really go well. The server rushed us through the meal."

"We love the Reserve! I have some dietary restrictions and they are always willing to accommodate. Mark has been our server the last 2 times we have visited and he is excellent. He remembered us from the last visit and was so patient and helpful with my menu. The food, as always was great. It was our anniversary this time and I should have requested different seating - the side by side - community seating not intimate for an anniversary dinner. Great food Excellent Service make for a great night!"

"Fabulous - an uptown gem in GR! This ain't Applebees, folks. So many outstanding choices for food and drink. Unusual charcuterie and cheese menu. A whole host of wonderful locally-grown options too. Could eat and drink your way through a whole afternoon or evening. Always feel well-cared for by the very knowledgeable foodie waitstaff. Atmosphere is really exceptional. Beautiful space. Soaring ceilings, great modern decor...and an ArtPrize winner over the bar. If you haven't been, you must go. Don't let this one slip away for lack of attention."

"Food was very well prepared and tasted just as good. We tried a few different dishes and enjoyed them all. -Started with the Pork Fat Fries -Had the "Ma Po' Gnocci...smoked rabbit with hot spices -Ragu All Bolognese...pork sausage, beef heart, and ox tail -Finished with Magret Duck Breat -Drank a few glasses of the Michael Pozzan 2010 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir"

"The menu caught my attention with this restaurant and I was so glad that I went. The food was absolutly amazing and an increadable deal for the price. "We dined here on Valentine's day and were happy to have a somewhat private booth upstairs. The wine list seems much more extensive in terms of variety than when we were last here a few years ago. Our server was pleasant and helpful. The pace of the meal was somewhat slow, but that's probably because it is assumed that one wants to sip wine and relax, especially on a holiday. Portion sizes were fine...definitely not oversized. I had the duck, which was excellent. My husband had the ribeye, which, like all ribeyes, was fatty, but prepared well. If we return, we will order an appetizer or a cheese plate when we sit down, because there is no bread, and so otherwise, nothing to nibble with that glass of wine."

"This was our first visit to Reserve. I absolutely loved the cheese and charcuterie selection and the enormous choice of wines by the glass (over 100). There was a great mix of locally produced wines and cheeses as well as international ones.
I had a mediun sized entree which was the Spaghettini - spaghetti with creme fraiche, smoked salmon and egg yolk. It was awesome. My husband had a burger topped with cheese from their extensive list.
The only downside to the experience was that they brought out our entrees only a minute after our cheese plate had arrived so it was a little rushed in the service. Not a huge deal as we were eating a pre theater dinner so slow service would have been worse. I would highly recommend it."
