"Finally there is a great place to eat in the area of Somers Point. The entire experience was fantastic. The only drawback was that is was freezing cold in there until we spoke to the hostess who had the temperature changed for us. Overall a great spot and we can't wait to go back"

"We visited 800 Bay for the first time on Mothers Day. We were pleasantly surprised. They sat us on the porch, at a table that was a little small for seven adults and a toddler and it got a little noisy once the other tables were seated but it had a beautiful view of the bay. The service was a little slow but very good and the food was excellent. Entrees were on the smaller side but overall it was a very nice dinner. We would definitely go back."

"I have had several friends and family that have gone here before and didnt have this issue, but it was our friends first anniversary and reserved a table by the window. Just to get drinks took 40 minutes, appetizers was another 30 minutes. We were never offered desert which was upsetting being that it was our friends first anniversary. Food just took way too long, we didnt even see our server until dinner, the hostess had to take our order and get drinks etc.
If it was not for the view it would not of been impressive at all. At 10 pm we basically were kicked out with no desert offered and check was just given to us. Not the night i was hoping for especially after i talked up this restaurant to my friends."

"The food was just delicious! And we were so lucky as to have one of the bay tables with view over the water. We went in the evening and saw the night setting in. This was very very nice.
On the night we came, there was a live singer. She was alright, but we would have been OK without her singing.
The service was very friendly.

"What a find this was! Winter at the shore is very quiet, so to find a restaurant with such a creative menu, outstanding food, beautiful/comfortable bar area, and live music...wow! Our server was very busy - we could have used more check-ins than he was able to manage, but overall just a regular "date night" was made much, much more special because of this charming and friendly restaurant."

"We went for restaurant week and the food was wonderful. We shared the Tuna Tataki and Lobster Bisque for apps. Both were delicious but I would have enjoyed a few more lumps of lobster in the bisque. I have there previously and love the tuna nachos as an app. We had crab encrusted chicken and Salmon for dinner, both were cooked to perfection, beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious. For dessert we shared the molten chocolate cake which just melted in your mouth and the strawberry shortcake with chambord which were excellent. I have been there in the summer and the view on the back deck is beautiful especially at sunset. The service is always very friendly and attentive. Kudos to chef Joe and our server Suzanne!"

"We had a lovely dinner during Restaurant week. The service was attentive. The food was delicious. Our group had lobster bisque and salads with feta/walnuts as starters. Our entree's were Pork Medallions, Chicken with mash and Salmon over couscous. For Dessert we had vanilla cake with Chambord and chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Truly, this was a wonderful dining experience. The food was perfect EXCEPT the lobster bisque did arrive warm, not hot. The vocalist was very pleasant in the bar area. We had a beautiful stable overlooking the bay.

"Everything from the ambiance to the food was outstanding. I went with three girlfriends for restaurant week and none of us had been here before. We all enjoyed the food, the clean, comfortable, relaxing feel and the service was top notch. I can't think of one negative critique. I will definately recommend 800 Bay by Phillipe and look forward to dining here again."

"I was very pleqasantly surprised by Plillipe's. We had an AAA experience. The wait staff made our experience wonderful. The wine selection was not only practical but very thoughtfully compiled. Although we were there for restaurant week I felt that the rest of the menu and our experience definitely will earn our return visit."

"I'm sure that dining here in the dead of winter as we did is quite a different experience than the height of summer! Only two other tables were occupied and the bar was very quiet. And with all of the docks empty, it was a beautiful bay view from out window spot. Lots of potential here if only the food was better. No evidence of lobster in the lobster bisque and both my husband's pork and my duck entrees were very fatty. Desserts were soso. Might venture back in a few months to give it another try."
