"The appetizer, I ordered riceballs for my daughter and I, and they were delicious. The food was also delicious, we both got steak. My daughter likes topping off her meals with something sweet, so she went for the chocolate cheesecake. It tasted so good, she 3/4 of it by herself. As for price range, it was very pricey. We even had a $50 gift card from a neighbor, but it didn't cover the whole cost."

"I decided to try this place out on Mother's Day. It was nice but not really a romantic venue. We both started with cocktails. My wife ordered a margarita that came out watery and diluted. She returned it and ordered a glass of reisling instead. I asked for a Sapphire & tonic. It was weak, the tonic was flat and it came without the usual lime. We started our meal with the calamari fries. They were good and the marinara was excellent but the portion was too small for a couple. Next, I ordered a green salad while my wife ordered the salmon salad which she was happy with. For the main entree, I had the Wagyu Flat Iron steak with potato hash and my wife chose the Ribeye with smashed potatoes. Both plates were delicious."

"Bottled beer barely cold, served with a hot glass. Waitress seemed forgetful and confused at times, she could not explain what kind of cut a particular steak was, also could not identify a side dish. Caesar salad came without baguette as described in menu, Martinis served without the olives requested."

"Great food. Great location. The tuna and burger were SUPERB. The flat iron steak was not as good as expected (cooked ok, and the sauce is way too salty). It is easy to spend a leisurely evening enjoying the food, atmosphere, and conversation."

"Food was great but restaurant very noisy. We could not carry on a decent conversation with our guests due to the noise. There was a large party at the bar that dominated the noise level."

"The restaurant is nice and clean and has a good view of the Davidson area. It is easy to take a stroll around town from the restaurant location. However, we did not feel it had enough ambiance to be considered a romantic location. It's better suited for lunch or just meeting a friend for a drink and quick dinner. We felt our dinner was served way too quickly and could not just relax and enjoy the time there. Service was friendly, however."

"My wife and I were in Cornelius on vacation and needed a late night meal. The meal and service was so awsome we returned with a friend a few days later. We will be moving to this area in thr October time frame and Flatiron will be one of our goto restaurants."

"Here's the problem...they had a fixed menu for $25 each for lunch that day, but no one told us. According to the manager, the hostess was supposed to call us and let us know before we actually confirmed the booking...no call. Then the menu was on the table with NO PRICE. We had not planned on spending $70 for lunch, but that's what happened. I gave them my direct feed back about the situation, but you know what they offered NOT ONE thing which most people would have done. So yea...not such good customer service!"

"This is the first bad experience that we've had at Flatiron. After being seated we waited 10 minutes before I had to ask to have a server to visit our table. After she arrived she was very unprepared. The menu was a choice of 3 entrees and a variety of sides. Even with narrow menu and not a overly busy restaraunt the entrees took a long time to arrive. The biggest disappointment was the 3 cheese mac & cheese which was not much better than out of the box. Overall, I was very disappointed by a restaraunt that I normally find very good."

"We went to Flatiron for my Husband's birthday - which I put in the special instructions of my reservation. They didn't acknowledge his birthday at all. I was very disappointed."

"This was our first visit. We were under the impression that it would be a little more high end. It's more Taphouse than Kitchen. The service was great. The food was marginal although we probably should have stuck to ordering one of the many beef entrees. I had the duck which was overlooked. My husband had the John Dory special which he said was okay but not very flavorful.
The calamari appetizer was a steak cut into strips and deep fried. Not bad but we prefer the calamari rings and small tentacles. The dessert of hot doughnuts was delicious and so was the chocolate cake w/vanilla cheesecake crust.
We'll probably return for a hamburger or steak. Lunch would probably be quieter."

"It's the third time my wife and I have been to Flatiron. The food is OK, the service is OK, the decour is OK. There is nothing about this resturant that wows me. It is not a horrible experience and it is not an incredible experience. So, if you are looking for a somewhat expensive so so meal, Flatiron is your place."

"I have eaten dinner at Flatiron twice. The ambience is very warm and casual and was one reason that I was looking forward to going back. The menu is varied and each time we have had enjoyable meals served by friendly, attentive staff. They have a manageable list of wines and a nice variety of craft beers (available in flights) sure to please most palates. This is a nice addition to sleepy downtown Davidson. We will be going back."

"We recently moved to Davidson, NC and heard about Flat Iron right away. Our first time at this restaurant was not a disappointment. The food is mostly if not completely locally grown and of the highest quality. Service was outstanding by our waiter Jonathan. We were also attracted to the restaurant by their Sunday wine special in which selected wines are $20 per bottle. We arrived there for dinner at 5:30 but the "selected" wines were gone, presumably by the lunch crowd. While we were not plussed by that it did not detract from our overall experience. It was just a bit annoying."

"The food here has been wonderful each visit, paired with the variety of craft beers, and we are thankful that this restaurant is just down the street. The beer flight is a must in order to sample their selection and pair with each course. We love their habanero ketchup for their fries and their wagyu crustini is fresh and vibrant. Their meatloaf is more like a beef wellington as it is wrapped in flaky pastry and the epitome of comfort food. The chicken and waffles is a huge entree (enough leftovers for another meal). Their cranberry port reduction is great with the duck. For dessert, the doughnuts are amazing and truly "hot and now" and the triple chocloate cake (cheesecake/ mousse/ dark chocolate cake) is a perfect ending."

"Ordered one of the specials the restaurant had that night, it was blue moki (fish) with a risotto. Simply delicious - Flatiron does fish very well! And, the portion size is just right. Great wine and beer selection too! The only thing that strikes me as negative is that with the concrete floor and the high ceiling, it gets a little noisy. Great place though!"
