"Took the family to Bananas for the Gospel Brunch show. Fun, energetic atmosphere. The food was good, but they have a limited menu during the Gospel Brunch. My children are 17 and up, but some people may not find it suitable for younger children (under 12). A unique brunch experience which we thoroughly enjoyed!"

"We did not eat here because the restaurant looked really stale. The waiter/waitress was pretty nice and even told us when to visit again to view the show. This definitely wasn't what we expected. I would probably be a lot better if there was something going on and we drank a lot."

"when we were greeted it was not friendly at all, and we seemed to be annoying to her. the table next to us she greeted them very friendly, introduced herself, and even gave a list or drinks with recommendations. we ordered an appetizer and she came back about 10 minutes later and said they were out, we then ordered fried pickles and she said they were "about to be out", and we couldn't order them. Food was alright, we weren't given cotton candy at the end of the meal, we had to ask. We expected a fun girls night out, and we felt like we needed to hurry up and get out, we didn't feel welcome."

"Our server Kenya was terrible. This was my first trip back in months. I had boycotted for months because of the last few experiences that I have had with poor service/food. Our service was horrible and soooooooo slow. The checks were wrong, credit card was lost by the server, and mis charged...
The show was terrific and honestly the only reason I can ever see going back. I hear the same complaints from my friends... You either get good food, or good service but never both in the same vist."

"I booked this reservation on line through open table prior to us departing Edmonton Alberta for holidays, we were looking for a first Sunday Brunch meal to get us organized for the week we were in Florida. This restaurant turned out to be one of the highlights of our holidays. My only regret is that I cannot post pictures!!!!"

"We've been to Bananas twice and had a great time on each visit. The first time was on a Tuesday when they had a show - what a blast! The second time was just on a random night and we still enjoyed ourselves. Nice little place, a bit difficult to find parking unless you use their valet parking. The "girls" are charming and funny... full of personality. Don't be shy they're just like you and me, but better dressed. Food is decent, very "diner-like". My partner had fish and chips and I had a turkey burger. Both were good, but then again, you're not going here for the food are you? There's no cover and prices for food are fairly reasonable."

"Everything started off poorly when we pulled into the small parking lot. It was pouring rain and I gave the valet a $5 tip to park the car. (Please note that Bananas CLAIMS to provide complimentary valet parking) As we were waiting to be seated, the valet guy came in the restuarant and told me that they were out of parking spaces, gave me the $5 back, and told me that I had to move my car immediately and park it myself. As I stated, it was pouring rain. There weren't any close spots (I'm sure I wasn't the only person this happened to) so I had to park across the street on Mills, a street which has 2 lanes in each direction and a center turning lane with no close light to cross at."

"Originally wanted to go there late night but plans changed and we decided to go during brunch. Wasn't crowded but had to ask another waiter to get our waiter to come to our table. The food as fair at best (one of us raved about the chicken and waffles) and the rest of us were a bit disappointed in our orders. Also noticed the other tables receiving (one table with kids and another with adults only) cotton candy and we weren't offered that at all. I was a first timer...and that is definitely the last time I ever go there. Such a disappointment."

"Wait staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Food was a step up from normal diner food in my opinion. The fried string beans were out of this world. My burger was also delicious and my wife loved the chicken and waffles. I would like to come back to try breakfast someday. Nothing fancy, just ?a really good restaurant with good food for a reasonable price. Where else can you get a cup of ham and pea soup for 18 cents.?"
