"Although the food was up to its usual great standard, the service was terrible.
Despite reservations, we waited 20 minutes for a server to take our drink order.
We again waited very long to give a dessert order, so we skipped dessert and left.
There were three parties going on and maybe that was the reason. This was not a server we had seen before.
First time we had a bad experience at Luciano's."

"I've been here numerous times and it never disappoints. They recently changed their menu, so I tried the spicy seared ahi tuna which was excellent. Definitely give this place a try."

"Went there for Easter Brunch. Our table was ready when we arrived. The waiter was very distracted. He failed to explain how the brunch buffet worked so we waited about 10 minutes for him to return and then explain. The food was plentiful and delicious. I had to go the hostess to request refreshes on our coffee and tea. Another waiter came to our table who was apologetic and quick in getting us fresh beverages. If it not for the first waiter ignoring us, the entire experience would have been rated much higher."

"Service and ambiance were great. Too bad the food wasn't. Lamb lollipops were very good and tender. Spetinti ( probably spelled that wrong) was a form of Italian grilled cheese,and it tasted like grilled cheese. Veal scalopini was decent ,but tiny. The veal chop I had was overdone. ordered it medium rare,came out medium well. It was also a bit fatty. desert was cheesecake with fresh fruit. fruit was excellent,cheesecake might have been bought at 7/11. This was my fault,Ishould have asked. Veal chop was $52. I have been at Becco's in NYC on restaurant row,which is owned by Lidia. Veal was $35. and better. Higher than NYC prices in Rahway."

"My husband and I went for an overdue Valentine's dinner. This was our second time at the restaurant and we were glad to have returned. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The waiter was nice and attentive. I am glad we were introduced to this establishment. It certainly is a neighborhood gem."

"The food and the service was perfect and the price is reasonable for the portions you receive. This place is a great find. I highly recommend the Truffle Fries!! The fish was fresh & perfectly cooked, and I really enjoyed the warm goat cheese salad.The seat by the fireplace was a nice touch, too. We also never felt pressured on time either. A1 rating!!!"

"Very slow to take our order, never told of any specials, was told they ran out of chicken and veal, steak was way overcooked and waiter never came back for us to complain. Very surprised how awful the experience was, have been there once before and it was very good."

"when I made my reservation I asked to be seated near the fireplace and they sat us in the bar. Then I asked the hostess if it was going to be too loud because they had a live singer setting up and she said no, that he stays pretty low. So we stayed and needless to say, we could not hear ourselves the entire night. Then dinner - My friend ordered the special pasta which was to come with asparagus - she didn't change anything when ordering yet when her dinner came, she got broccoli instead of asparagus. When she sent it back, they actually sent it back with asparagus but instead of remaking the dish, they picked the broccoli out bc she had some pieces still in the dish. I had the scallops - barely cooked through and the risotto was very hard"
