"From the moment we entered the restaurant we were greeted like a well thought of regular. The views from the dining room where breath taking. Soft music filled the room with the classic sounds of Sinatra, Ray Charles and great music. Cocktails arrived soon after the order was placed and made to perfection. Our server was attentive and sincere. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. I will definitely recommend The Cliff House."

"When in Palm Springs my wife and I always have the Cliff House on our list of go to restaurants in the Palm Springs area. We've been there for our anniversaries, birthdays or just for a nice evening out. The staff are pleasant and courteous, always willing to make your experience there a good one. The food is good, never had a bad meal and don't leave without trying the mud pie, be prepared to share though because it's a big piece (share but you'll fight to give it up)."

"This was our first visit. They receptionist knew that and greeted us in very welcoming manner. We were there for Restaurant Week and were surprised that the Price Fix was full portions. The four of us all tried different entrees, salads and desserts and none of us were disappointed. We will be going back; next time will want to try the Happy Hour at the bar and the bar food selections."

"We had not eaten at Cliffhouse before even though we frequently lunch at Pacifica. Overall, despite the pleasant dining space, the food could have been better, especially the entrée. My appetizer, a seafood gumbo, was delicious, but jumbo prawns in a bed of risotto needed a liberal dose of seasoning; otherwise, both were a bit flat.
My partner commented that he has had better spareribs at other establishments and that his coleslaw was virtually tasteless.
The dessert, a peach tart/cobbler/cake, was OK, but . . . .
Our server Ray was attentive, but appeared to have been assigned to cover too many tables, and as the dining room became more crowded, seemed to pay less and less attention to us."

"We love this restaurant. Great food, service. It is a true gem in the desert. We had a memorial dinner for sets of friends who lost their parents, and the restaurant was more than accomodating to place us some place quiet so that we could talk in more quiet atomsphere. Our waitress Laurie was outstanding. It turned out to be quite an uplifting time."

If you like warm temperature, request to sit in the main dining room where the fireplace & windows to city are. "Been a while since I was there, ten + years. Took the wife for a romantic night out, this place does it. THe food was freat, I had the ribeye, perfect. She had the crab stuffed shrimp, again perfect. THey cater to your choices, don't like the veggie associacted to your meal, no problem, change it. Found out if you want to bring your own wine there is a $15 cork fee, reasonable to me. THeir wine list is good as well. Go there you'll like it."

"The Cliffhouse is recently redone and is upscale comfortable. If noise is your problem, sit either outside or in the main dining room. The food here is very good - wide variety with an emphasis on seafood - all well prepared and presented. Notable items are the catfish (Yes, catfish, it is excellent) and the crab stuffed shrimp. Service is good, but it can be a little slow - they use a tiered service approach - waiter/waitress, server, busboy - so it is usually quite efficient. Every Wednesday is 1/2 priced wine night - a very nice deal. The bar is very active and has a separate menu with nice choices - usually there are Happy Hour specials, so check if you are just going for a couple of drinks and some light food."

"We had reservations for my 50th birthday celebration and when we arrived we asked for a great table and we were impressed how receptive you were (I can't remember our greeter). We had a drink in the bar and 10 minutes later were seated outside next to the big "rock". We LOVED the food and service and were given complimentary champagne, I'm assuming because it was my birthday ! After a wonderful experience, I was brought a birthday dessert that was to die for !!!! OMG. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone :) We had a memorable experience there and hope we can go back soon :)"

"The artichokes were baked perfectly (tender) this time. Last time they were bad (not tender) and you sent me a gift card, thank you for standing behind your product.
Lamb chops were excellent cooked perfectly. Filet was wonderful, tender great taste. Drinks and win was excellent.

"Special evening out, first time, we'd heard excellent reviews...our experience was very good, service, food. We certainly would recommend this restaurant to our friends. There is an outside patio area, no views but the setting is lovely. Lovely views inside the restaurant, bar also looked busy and very nice. Only negative is its is a requirement to have valet parking which is ok, but would be nice to have a choice to park your car in the adjoining parking lot. Seems alot of the finer restaurants in the desert have mandatory valet parking for dinner only."

"Took a friend for a birthday dinner and we had a wonderful dinner experience. Although the restaurant was full, the noise level was moderate and the service was above par.
We've enjoyed the Happy Hour there numerous times as it's one of the best in the area but I would highly recommend the more serene dining experience for a special occasion."

"A truly nice restaurant with everything you need to be happy, good food, good service and a pretty location with great ambiance. I have had the calamari, and the gumbo soup is really excellent! Good happy hour and I guess everyone else has discovered it because if you don't get here by 4:30, you won't be sitting down for a while."

"Unfortunately for our visit, we decided on the Sunset dinners. The catfish was good but the flatiron steak was not very tasty. It was moist and looked beautiful, but tasted awful. In our opinion, your special deals should be the quality you would expect from the rest of the menu. If your Sunset dinners have to be between 4:30 and 5:30 the time frame should be the reason for the discount, not poor quality meat. Remove it from the menu."

"My wife and I were there to make use of a gift certificate from a relative who lives in La Quinta and dines at the Cliffhouse regularly. Since it was our first visit we didn't know exactly what to expect. We were hoping for a great meal with excellent service, and were not in the least bit disappointed. My wife is a lover of salmon, and her order was presented as a work of art (presentation is everything), as well as being absolutely scrumptious. My prime rib was a 'melt in your mouth' quality cut of meat. The waiters were very attentive and helpful with our selections. All in all a wonderful dining experience."

My son was visiting us from out of town and to celebrate this special occasion, we thought we would give the Cliffhouse another visit. Our previous meal at the Cliffhouse on Christmas Eve was not a positive experience. "I stayed away for awhile. I used to like to go to the Happy Hour but with the crowds and people standing right over your table waiting for you to leave so they can take your seat was very uncomfortable. We didn't go back all year because of this. I decided to go again as I had the coupon for the one year anniversary. I liked the remodeling. The food was very good. I'll just have to sit in the back somewhere where the sun doesn't shine on me."

"We have been to the desert many many times and generally there is no restaurant that we feel compelled to return to. Cliffhouse, however, has a lot going for it. The food, sometimes novel is a Californian experience, never knew how to eat an artichoke until this past week! Veronica our server, very hard worker, is deserved of all acclaim; she makes the night! We had grilled artichoke, beet salad, Alaskan halibut and grilled rib-eye, all very well prepared and on the patio with a slight breeze, a couple of great glasses of wine and yes a romantic candle! This is as food as any other restaurant of note in the desert. It isn't Morgans, but then again neither is the price point."
