Greenport's newest upscale seafood restaurant, North Fork Oyster Company, serves creative cuisine featuring the freshest seafood from the waters surrounding it on the east end of Long Island. The casually elegant space has been completely renovated to include an oyster bar and outdoor patio dining, as well as a wood-burning fireplace for the winter months. "Looks Like Luce Stumbled. Doing an east end B&B weekend in E Marion, we opted for The North Fork Oyster Co, in Greenport, for dinner. Heard about the new chef and menu and were looking forward to a great seafood meal. Didn’t happen.
Our server, though very nice, was totally frazzled. Never bothered to recite the specials or even bring bread to the table. (we only found out that there were specials, when we heard another waitress telling them to a nearby table, after our meal).
The good: fortunately there was some good, was the Sea Food Plateau for $44. Chilled Oysters, Clams, Shrimp Salad, Crab Meat Cocktail and ½ Lobster, was very good. Fresh, clean and highly recommended.
The bad: Fish & Chips with Rosemary Fries. Nicely p"

"Service was horrible. We had party of 11. That was seated outside and it's if they forgot about us. You should also know that the resturant was not even full. So there are no excuses. We saw our waitress twice in the evening to take are order and pass the check. You she never even came to check if we need anything. Sad!"

"We had Easter Brunch at the restaurant. The food was delicous the service was just great. I highly recommend this restaurant and worth the trip to Greenport if you aren't from the immediate area. We will definitely be dining there again in the near future."
