"The Denver Chophouse is a restaurant that my wife and I have enjoyed going to the few times we have. The food has always been very good when ordering from the regular menu, but this last Mother's Day was a bit of a disappointment! We had early afternoon reservations for the brunch and a lot of the food had been sitting around for a while, several of the serving plates were empty or close to it and the food quality because of that was standard at best. I guess I felt that I paid the same amount as the folks who had earlier reservations and should have been treated to the same food and I don't think that was the case. And at $45 per person that made it sting all the more! May go back, but not for brunch!"

"I asked my wife if there was anywhere in particular that she wanted to go for her birthday, and she said the Chophouse. I looked it up on line and the preferred attire was "smart casual" (whatever that means). So, we dressed up a bit, but I didn't wear a tie. I was rather surprised when I saw people wearing shorts and t-shirts, but I was still more comfortable with what we were wearing. In any case the food was good, the service was acceptable, but our waiter was a total bore. It was like he had zero personality. He never smiled, and he was as cold as they come. I was not impressed. If I ever go back and he's my waiter, I'll ask to be seated somewhere else. Mike"

"The Mother's Day Brunch left much to be desired. For the price I was expecting a substantially better carving station and selection of other dishes. They tried to pack more tables into the restaurant for the day to accomodate more people, making it slightly uncomfortable."

"Took the family for Mother's Day brunch. The food was absolute perfection. The carved prime rib, seared ahi tuna, smoked salmon, oysters on the half shell and omelette bar were all stand outs. The kids loved the pancakes, Mac and cheese and chocolate fountains. Very kid friendly set up. The one complaint is that the bottomless bloody Mary's were a bit watered down. On the pricey side but the quality of the food made it worth it."

"We enjoyed the brunch at the Chop House on Mother's Day. While the regular brunch menu was available we opted for the buffet. The selection was extensive and the staff was overly attentive. The atmosphere was calm and enjoyable. On one of the busiest restaurant days of the year, we were able to relax and not feel like the staff was rushed. Great job."

"We had play tickets for 8pm. Staff was cordial and were seated at our reservation time, 5:45pm. Waiter knew menu and answered questions, with details. His drink recommendations were excellent. Staff was attentive, our table quiet, and service gave us plenty of time to take an enjoyable stroll to our next venue. Our meals were delicious."

"We were in Denver for a convention and wanted a place that had good food and a fun atmosphere and the Chophouse delivered. They had craft beers on tap and a wide range of dishes to choose from. I ordered the trout, and it was fantastic. It came in a butter sauce that was flavorful but not too heavy and my colleague ordered the prime rib and said it was one of the best he's had in years. Another colleague ordered the crabcakes and liked them but regretted his choice after seeing out food. But then again, who orders crab in Colorado??"

"Most steakhouses charge more than what ChopHouse does and then you have to order all sides a la carte. I was pleased to get a reasonably priced steak and a side for one good price. And the starter salads were delicious and cheap - highly recommend both the chopped salad and the wedge. The filet was perfectly seasoned and cooked. And all of this coming from a Texas girl!"

"We went to the chophouse on the recommendation of a local while we were visiting the area. The waiter and service was top notch, but the food fell flat. It would have been a better choice to go to Morton's or Capital Grille - to pay a similiar price but have better quality of food. Next time, we will stick to the places we know will be good."

"Denver Chophouse is not as good as in the past. They no longer toss the salad at table side, and all of our food was brought out except for one diner. It took another 10 minutes for their meal to come out. By the time his meal arrived all of our meals were cold. We saw the same thing happen to a table close to ours. If all the meals are not ready, DON'T bring them out. We didn't start eating because that is the polite thing to do. Very disappointed. Will not go back anytime soon."

"I recently had a great experience at this gem in the heart of downtown Denver. I was visiting with my girlfriend and we had reservations made here from several weeks earlier. Te day of our reservation it began to snow and as it usually does in Denver the snow piled up quickly. Well having heard all good things about the chop house, we braved the elements and headed out. It was well worth it. We were seated immediately an our server was lovely and assisted us with out questions and made excellent suggestions. The food arrived quickly and was excellent quality. It was delicious. It was a grand experience and is highly recommended"

"Went to celebrate a birthday with friends, get a great steak. Food was good, but service was lacking. While our waiter was knowledgeable, he appeared over worked. He was constantly in a hurry to move on to many tables he was covering, when he would stop at our table, he'd ask one question and walk away. Ex: we get dessert menus, finally comes back with coffees, then leaves without dessert order. We had to flag down someone in mgt a few times to keep the meal going, so our stay wouldn't last 3 hours. We watched our waiter set up large tables, running around, it was not the best experience. Not sure what was going on this night, but we expected better service. We noticed other tables experiencing the same thing we were. Take note Chop House!"

"Overall a decent experience. Our waiter was fairly inattentive and slow, but not to say he wasn't friendly when we did get his attention. We had to send one of our three steaks back as it was ordered medium rare and came out well done, but the manager took care of this immediately. The other two steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing."

"Very disappointed in food quality for a Steak house. The Prime Rib was tough with lots of grizzle. The Halibut tasted old and grainy.
Given a choice, probably will no return to this restaurant."

"This place is really great! Definitely going to be back here. I took my fiance here for her birthday right before a rockies game. We parked in a ramp and walked there then to the game. It was very convenient but also I couldn't have asked for a better place to eat and get drinks before the game."

"First know that this was Rockies opening day and this restaurant is just outside the stadium. For a normally more subdued atmosphere, this place was rockin'. However, the staff was able to give us prompt and courteous attention. While it sounds bad, this next part is actually a positive. You never truly experience an establishment's customer service until something goes wrong. Well, I found a piece of a dinner plate in my rice. I told the waiter, the manager came over and brought me new rice plus had instructed the kitchen to throw out the batch mine had come from. They also comped my meal and I did not ask for it nor expect it. This is everything a fine restaurant should do when something goes astray. Food was great!"

"Went for lunch before the Rockies' home opener. The restaurant...indoors and out...was packed. We expected long delays for our food and less attention to detail than usual, but we were happily wrong! The food arrived quickly and was excellent. I had a salmon BLT that was easily the best I've ever eaten. Salmon was a perfect medium rare, bread melted in my mouth, and there was a slight hint of spice that was delightful. I always order the mashed potatoes as a side, and they were as tasty as ever. My fellow diner had the lobster club--his favorite--and it didn't disappoint, either. Thanks for a great dining experience!"

"I am in the beef business and operate facilities in Denver and Greeley and I regulary bring customers in. Not sure i will be coming back after my dinner. One of my clients baked potato came out cold and the Steaks/Prime Rib were not good at all. Very tough, obviously no age and not an upper 2/3 choice program. Would like to offer some help if i can but the beef program you currently have is not performing.
