"Everytime we go to the Green Valley Grill I am impressed by the food, the ambience, and the excellent service. This was our first time going for Brunch. The selection was great and the food was awesome! Our daughter is now on a Gluten Free diet and they we easily able to accommodate her. For MANY reasons, we highly recommend this restaurant!!"

"I moved to Greensboro from San Francisco, the restaurant capital of the US. I was afraid I wouldn't find any good places to eat here. Green Valley Grill is as close to a great Bay Area restaurant as one can get. Everything about dining at GVG is a delight. I haven't had a bad meal yet. The service is always top notch and friendly, not stuffy. The food is innovative without being precious. It is definitely my favorite Greensboro restaurant."

"If you like great food using local, fresh ingredients this is the place. The food tastes as good as it looks. Service is attentive without being intrusive. We drove over an hour to meet friends from Atlanta and decided on GVG for dinner. Everyone was delighted by their meal-- from the Truffle Fries, and Tomato Salad (an amazing story on how they got such great tomatoes so early in the season!) appetizers, to each of our dishes. I usually do not order classic Italian dishes, but the lasagna -- made with local sausage-- was a harmony of deep flavors that everyone at our table loved! We agreed we needed another few days to sample the rest of the menu. We will make the 90-minute trip to Greensboro just to eat at Green Valley Grill again."

"We eat at the Green Valley Grill every time we go to Greensboro. The hotel where it's located, O. Henry, is classy. Green Valley always has a number of chef's specials themed by the season or cuisine. This month's was Mediterranean. Service is always good. Ambience is OK, but not really romantic; booths and tables can be a bit close together. Don't fail to order the Frozen Nutty irishman. a concoction of chocolate cake, frozen Bailey's Cream mousse and crumbled toffee candy on top."

"My wife and I went to Green Valley Grill to celebrate our anniversary. First, the server was outstanding. Our drinks were never empty and the appetizer and food were served promptly. Unfortunately, the food was good but not great, I was expecting a little better. We had a sampler appetizer plate. The humus was good, but I especially liked the spring roll and cucumber sauce. The meatballs were not impressive. For dinner I had scallops on what I think was grits. It was great! My wife had 3 way duck. This was our only major issue. One of the "ways" was Foie Gras. Being rather blue collar, I had no idea that meant cold duck livers... YUCK, we thought it was just undercooked. I only wish we'd known that before ordering."

"a group of us took our 92 year old Mother to supper on Saturday and - as in the past - had a wonderful time. The waiter was especially attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and the food was excellent, especially the black pepper crust scallops and short ribs.

"We were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server was very attentive. Beverages were served and replenished quickly. No "children's menu," but they have children's entrees. The menu featured seafood, beef, duck, chicken and vegetarian entrees. The pecan crusted trout and filet mignon were perfectly prepared. A generous portion of trout was served with tasty polenta and the filet was served with delicious mashed potatoes. Both dishes were served with steamed broccoli. The meal took one hour. I also highly recommend the truffle fries.
The Green Valley Grill is very consistent in its food quality. It is one of finest restaurants in Greensboro. Although it would be considered "pricey," it's a great value. A wonderful dining experience!"

"Overall a average-good dining experience. The menu selection was appropriate. The food was prepared with too much oil, which took away from the actual flavors which were paired well on the menu, but which were drowned out by the excessive oil. We ordered the pecan encrusted trout, the duck and fig flatbread, calamari, seafood paella, and Parmesan encrusted chicken. All of the entrees and the flat bread seemed to be prepared with excessive oil. Even the broccoli served with the trout and chicken tasted like it had been flash fried in oil. I would be willing to try the food again, but I will be sure to ask that my food is prepared with minimal oil. Aside from this, everything else was good."

"We went here for our son's graduation dinner and couldn't have chosen a better place. Everyone raved about their food. I had the Campanelle Pasta--it had shrimp, garlic, wild mushrooms, their own house cured pulled pork belly--SO good and perfect portion. We are not from Greensboro, but my family had been here once for a wedding reception where we found the food to be exceptional. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed!"

"The hostess tried to seat my party at the booth next to the kitchen and when I asked not to be seated there, she offered me the
table right next to it on the pathway of the kitchen and I had to ask for another table. There were plenty other booths and tables
available. The waiter when filling the water glasses, would splatter the water out of the glass. I had a visiting cardiologist with me from India and she could not find a vegetarian small entree."

"Really nice place. Our server was new, and not very adept. Others kept coming by to make sure things were going okay. The Duck and Fig flatbread was great, although a little big. I almost didn't need dinner, but glad I still had it. Great food, great bar menu, nice atmosphere."
