Aditi, the name of an ancient goddess, symbolizes the cyclical nature of life.
The Sanskrit word, Aditi, denotes abundant, joyful & unbroken creative power that sustains the universe.
Colloquially, Aditi means ‘distinguished guest’.
Aditi Indian Dining’s new & trendy location in Kingstowne boasts of modern decor, great ambience, a cozy bar & an abundant choice of appetizers, entrees & desserts. We also serve a lunch buffet every day. Our menu features a wide range of vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian preparations. The menu offers choice for the discerning customer and our team is eager to offer choice on varying spice levels, health & heart friendly foods.
We are located in Kingstowne Towne Center across Kingstowne 16 Cinemas in Alexandria and minutes away from all the major highways (395, 95, 495 & Fairfax County Parkway) & close to Vandorn and Springfield Metro. The center also has abundant parking facilities, a large play area for families & is coupled with great shopping.

"I can not say enough about the wonderful flavors, aromas and sights of the Indian food here. I have been searching for good Indian food in the Alexandria area since Bombay Curry closed and I think I have found it. Curries were delicious, naan was light, the black lentils had a nice kick which was cooled by the raita. Portions were generous and the service was attentive. Highly recommend. Better make a reservation, the place is small. Parking is the only drawback, can be hard on a Fri night to find a spot."

"This was quite a pleasant surprise. The dining room was very nicely laid out to provide for traffic and still allow a sense of intimacy. It was very clean and modern. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. All of the spices and seasonings were authentic and delicious. The tandoori platter is perfection. My new favorite!

"The service was very good; the food okay. I had a thali and so the variety was good, but a few of the dishes were mediocre and one was pretty good. I'd probably try it one more time. It is hard to find great Indian restaurants and again the service was excellent."

"Most of the Indian restaurants I've been to have lunch buffets, and Aditi is no different. The buffet was appropriately-sized for the location (...across from a movie theater complex with moderate lunchtime traffic)--two salads, vegetarian entree, three vegetable curries and two meat curries. The food was warm. The goat curry had bones in it. However, everything was flavorful. The bar was competent. The price was fair for two drinks and two trips to the buffet. The only real issue was the music choice--club music during lunch raises eyebrows when work calls with a question. Regardless, when I'm looking for Indian food and in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to stop back in at Aditi."

"I was told that Aditi has the best Indian food outside of Washington, DC and I was not disappointed! I originally had a reservation for 8 people, but the staff was very accommodating with a last minute change to 10. Our server was very patient in explaining new dishes to us and made some excellent recommendations. Our group has a mix of dietary restrictions including a couple vegetarians, gluten free and other allergies, and all of us were pleased with our meals. Aditi also has a full bar (with deliciously strong cocktails) and a nice selection of wines by the glass. I definitely want to go back to try the lunch buffet that we were told is also offered on the weekends. The overall ambience of the restaurant is very low-key and inviting."

"Great restaurant! We had a group of five and everything was perfect. Every dish we had was good, including salmon, chicken, lamb, and vegatarian dishes. The service, headed by our waiter Rinu, was perfect as well. This is a great Indian restaurant that we will be dining at often!"

"Wonderful food, wonderful service, made our valentines day dinner extra special. My wife was very impressed and enjoyed everything (it was a surprise). I wanted to do Indian food because we had a memorable experience on our honeymoon with Indian food. So this made it a perfect 5th year Valentine's dinner. I picked Aditi after looking at the previous reviews, and I made reservations 2 weeks prior to valentines. Good thing I did because there was a hefty crowd without reservations just waiting for a seat. We walked right in and was seated within minutes. Nothing bad can honestly be said about this place. She has already charged me with "we will come back here, and soon!"."

"I wish I coudl handle hot food, because my husband's smelled amazing. He tells me it was delicious as well. I went more mild with salmon, and it was beautifully cooked and had a delicous side. A little cold up front, but service was excellent and staff was very friendly and courteous."

"Aditi is one of our favorite restaurants. The Indian food is very good, with a large menu to choose from and great bar service too. It's convenient to the Regal Kingstowne theaters and accepts reservations, which saves time and stress. The service is attentive and the servers are knowledgable and friendly. "This place really is superb, and if you want better Indian food, your only option is to go to Rasika in DC. But if you come to Aditi, you pay far less and you don't have to deal with the headaches of parking in the District. Tried the samosa chat for the first time today, which is slightly different than the samosa (try it, you won't be disappointed...very well seasoned). Our other app was the coconut lamb, which was beautifully spiced and extremely flavorful. My date got the chicken tikka (like she always does) and I decided to try the pepper chicken for the first time. It was to die for - so, so good. So, we split 2 apps, 2 entrees, 1 order onion naan, and bottle of wine and got out of there for $75. including tip. AWESOME!"
