"Took my daughter for the first time, my friend who was having a birthday, her daughter, and some recent grads to celebrate. Our server, Ari(?), was phenomenal! She remembered us from our last visit and took excellent care of all of our first-timers. We love coming here! Amazing food, and we appreciate the menu accommodations. Love Ladies' Night!!"

"We went to The Melting Pot to celebrate a graduation and birthday with a group including 2 adolescents, 2 50-something parents, and 2 senior grandparents. Unlike a typical restaurant where the dining itself is an individual activity, the fondue dinner provided for lots of interaction, conversation, humor among all of us. Truly a dining experience!"

"We went to The Melting Pot for our first anniversary. It was a fantastic experience. The only recommendation that I would give is to pace yourself if you do the four course. If you eat all of the bread and cheese, and devour your salad, you will be full by the time the main course gets there. We all know that if you are full at the main course, there is no room for dessert."

"My hubby took me for my birthday. And it was amazing. The service was wonderful, the place was beautiful, and the food was outstanding. It was expensive. But we were both so full when we left that we could have exploded. We took desert home. All in all i had a fantastic time. Kasi was our server and shs was great!"

"For the past two years, The Melting Pot has been a favorite of several on our teaching staff on Monday nights. We have always been treated well by our servers, especially with our special requests. "Wonderful food and experience. Only complaint was our waitress wanted to rush the entree course. Took my fondue fork to put my mom's shrimp in to cook because she wasn't getting there fast enough. Rushed us to choose our chocolate. Tried to take our entree when we still had skewers and food in it.. Rather annoying, but otherwise a great time."

"Everyone in my group(8 people) was a first time diner with exception of myself.
The waiter explained the menu and not everyone quite understood. Although he did explain again, there was a bit of condescension and exasperation in doing so.
We ordered our food and 4 mixed drinks at the same time. 20 minutes later our first course arrived without the drinks. After mentioning it they finally came.
Unfortunately the rest of the night was downhill from there. The waiter disappeared for 20-30min at a time. Hardly checking in on the table for refills. When it was time for our check another server went back to have him bring our ticket.
Maybe he was just having an off day, but it left a bad impression"

"4 course meal, dinner for two, one martini with ice water, and an iced tea= $115. Cheese course with bread and veggies we were not too impressed with this course. House salad was very good, small portion. Entree was your choice of meats nothing under $30 per person. Cannot share an entree. Also, previously we were able to to choose the broth we cooked with, there was no choice this time. Desert was good as always smaller with new menu.
Portions are smaller with there new menu, but the prices are still sky high. Overall, The Melting Pot is too expensive when you have to cook your own food before you can eat. Desert would be the only course we'd return for; if we lived closer."

"Always quality food, fairly good value. Remember when making reservations, some tables allow one fondue pot and some tables have room for two. If you want more than one cheese/cooking style/chocolate, make sure you ask for a table with more than one burner. We always find we need to order more food, but each meat is available a la carte for a reasonable amount."

"We had always been skeptical of what this would be like, but got an opportunity to try this thanks to a gift certificate won during Restaurant Week. I'm now sorry I waited to try this. We both did the four course meal. We started off with the Wisconsin cheese fondue, which is chedddar and blue cheeses mixed which provided a great flavor mix. The salad was your standard salad, but the house dressing was excellent. We both got was the Sea and Land, which includes filet steak, seasoned chicken, and three shrimp. and basic cooking method (seasoned chicken stock) was probably the best choice for our first time. The dipping sauces were excellent. The dark chocolate fondue for dessert was also quite excellent. A great dining experience."

"Ate here for the first time and took the teens who complained the entire time while we drove there. Parking is always a problem on the plaza but we got a spot right in front of the building. We had made a reservation online and they found it right away. Seated quickly and then service was a little slow getting started. We were hungry so really wanted food right away. It probably took about 20 mins before we saw any food. After it got going all went fine And the other courses came out just fine. Refills were a little slow in coming out or even noticing, but they did come eventually. Food was great, liked the staff. By the end of the evening everyone was happy and wanted to come back."

"My husband and I booked a reservation for a long over due date night. He really wasn't looking forward to it since the one and only time he had been was with a big group and he felt it was kind of gross for everyone to dip the fondue fork into the same pot. I believe he has changed his mind. We had a great time. Very romantic. Service was great. We had a little bit of confusion on our wine selection but got it cleared up. My boyfriend was a little put out that we had to wait 10 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation and were told when we arrived that we would be seated right away. Our waiter was personable but may have been new as he seemed a lirt nervous and spilled a few times. Still, we had a great, romantic, leisurely meal, which is just what we hoped for. I think next time we'll try to avoid prom night, though. The place was crawling with obnoxious teenagers. Lol! Nothing the restaurant could do about that."

At first I was taken back on the prices on the menu, but when push came to shove, it was totally worth it. Our night will actually be a night to be remembered. One problem we did run in to was the table was at one time out of order, and we were the first patrons to be back on it. The only issue we had was the cleaniness on top of the table and around the table. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience."

"My group of 5 and I went to The Melting Pot for our pre-prom dinner. We got there at 7:15 and did not get out until 9:45. We did the 4 course dinner. The food was very good! But sadly, the service was terrible. Our waitress barely came to check on us and we specifically asked when we sat down to speed up the courses so we could be out by 9:15-9:30. She took her time bringing out each course, which caused us to be later than we planned. Our drinks needed refilled several times, and she came to do that probably 3-4 times the whole 2 and a half hours we were there. We had 6 people in our group, and we had to share 2 burners. It was tight space, but they said that was the biggest table they could give us."

"First time going to The Melting Pot, and I already want to go back! I went with one of my best friends and had an awesome experience. Our server was extremely personable and acted like he actually cared. We went for my birthday and he wished me a happy birthday multiple times. Our orders came out very quickly, with hardly any waiting. Overall EXCELLENT experience and will definitely go again. Oh another reccomendation if you aren't into meat don't get their four course meal its slightly pricey. My friend and i both got the regular cheese appetizer then a house salad and the flaming turtle ( which is like milk chocolate with carmelized nuts on top, SO GOOD) and it ended up being like $25 a person which i thought was very reasonable!"

"We had a reservation for 6pm, but weren't seated until 7pm - and seated in a booth that didn't work for us (the table was almost as high as my mother's neck), not to mention it left no elbow room. We asked to be re-sat at a table but were told there was nothing available. There were numerous empty tables throughout, so we're left confused at the long wait at the beginning and not being sat at an alternate place. So we asked to speak to a manager. After explaining our frustration he said he would see what he could do. He came back and after making sure we knew he had to "change a whole bunch of stuff around, call upcoming reservations", etc., they moved to us to an empty table. Luckily, everything from that point on was amazing."

"The cheese and chocolate fondue was as good as any I have had. For the entree however, I had the worst steak of my life. I would not recommend this restaurant. It is very overpriced.If you go to the melting pot just order the cheese and chocolate fondue but do not order an entree (broth boiled steak and seafood is not very good). We did not eat our entrees and were not made any computational offers by the management."

"We went for an anniversary dinner after recommendations from our son. The experience was fun, but time consuming. The appetizer fondue was good, plenty of bread and veggies for dipping. Would recommend reading menu closely, caesar salad contained sweetened nuts, not expected or enjoyed. The entrees were below expectations. The serving size was small ( 3 small shrimp, 3 pieces of chicken and 3 pieces of filet) and took much longer to cook than explained by staff (4-5 min per piece vs 1-2 as instructed), the flavor was very bland and the filet pieces were not tender even when undercooked. Dessert fondue was very good, with a variety of dipping options to go with the chocolate. Would return for dessert, but not for dinner."

"This was the first time bringing our kids (ages 9 and 12) with us to the Melting Pot. An endless fondue special was a special event on our "staycation" this spring break. Service was great, enviornment perfect for sitting down and spending time talking with friends/family, a little pricey but worth it for building relationships or celebrating special occasions. Great experience to give kids but prefer just going with adult friends and family."
