"We were unfortunately 20 minutes late due to my son's 6 pm graduation from SIU. We were not sure we would still be able to be served as we arrived at approximately 9:20 pm for a 9:00 pm reservation. A little difficult to find in the dark. Thank goodness for GPS. Valet parking was excellent! Staff was very attentive! We got the best table in the house right in front of the fireplace. Food and wine were very pleasing to the palate. Could not have asked for a better experience!"

"I had made a reservation for Mothers Day for my Mom who had never been to Walkers Bluff, to say the least she was very impressed and talked about our dinner all the way home and at church on Sunday! Myself I had never been either so it was a wonderful Saturday afternoon. We have discussed making this a tradition for Mothers Day in the future.

"Legends at Walker's Bluff was a great dining experience. Food was wonderful at Sunday Brunch the week before Mother's Day.
My 85 yr old mom loves Eggs Benedict -- not on menu but chef prepared them and they were great - and price was reasonable.
Brunch is very good and much less expensive than dinner. Mimosa pitcher was delicious and also reasonable.
IF dinner prices scare you -- definitely go to brunch."

"We went to the Legends for my wife's birthday celebration. Business casual is the dress code - the ambiance is excellent - great decorating - and the fireplace was superb with glowing warmth in the room. The food was absolutely superb - some of the best salmon I have ever tasted. Also, my wife indicated her dinner was stupendous. We will be going back when we again visit this part of the state in the future. The nearby wine tasting room is one of the most fabulous rooms we have ever seen with appropriate ambiance - we know of nothing in the state which ranks as nice as this room for wine tasting. There were ony 30 people in the restaurant when we were there - the biggest challenge is the road system to get to this gem of restaurant!"

"Great place if you are trying to impress a first date or someone special. Great atmosphere, beautiful grounds. Tasting Room looks cool, but it was closed for a private event. Food was good but not as good as the prices would suggest. I've had better steak for half the price (but remember the ambiance). I would rather have better food than all the fluff. Nice to do once."

"The service was excellent. I ordered the stuffed chicken which I didn't think was very good, the chicken tasted a little dry and there was no "stuffing" in the chicken, which made it taste a little plain, for the price of the food I was expecting for it to be better. However my boyfriend had the pork chop and had no complaints. One another complaint was the beer "born on date", my boyfriends beer had a born on date of December and tasted "skunked", which is how we say the beer has gone bad. The manager came to our table and assured us that the beer is still good 6 months past the born on date. My bf received another beer that tasted fine. I was always taught a beer is only good 100 days past the born on date, when I worked at resturaunt/bar"

"This was our third visit to W.B... One very fine experience and two unbelievably poor. Valentines Day, was the worst. When we arrived with our guests it was dark and there were no lights to guide the way from the parking lot to the front door. The table we had requested "was not available" (it was not occupied!). We had planned to have filets. The menu arrived with only two choices available for each course none of which were very appealling offerings. They ALL proved(except the desert cake)very poorly prepared... five stringing strands of gritty asparagus, a potato as hard as a rock, and a rather plain steak do not make for a fine dinner inspite of the presentation, the $75/plate, and nice ambience. So... bye bye Legends."

"My wife and I went for a late Valentine Day dinner/night out. Excellant service and great atmosphere. First time I had been to the Tasting Room and was very impressed. Felt like there could have been more seating in the main bar area but overall a great place and nice change of pace from the usual loud bar type atmosphere. "To celebrate my birthday, we had 20 family members for the Sunday Brunch. With several older members of the family, the free valet parking was much appreciated. We were greeted at the door, coats checked, and promptly seated in a side dining room that comfortably held our group. We were not rushed for orders which allowed us time to talk and catch up. The menu was nicely varied - from traditional breakfast to meat and pasta. Mimosas and champagne were a welcome addition. The food selection, preparation, service and attention was impeccable. After brunch, we visited the Tasting Room to finish off a great celebration. This a terrific venue for a special occasion."

"Not at all what I expected for $75 per person. They sat us in the extra room which is not romantic at all and it was very disappointing. Waiter just basically served the food one course right after the other so I believe we were done with all 5 courses in 1 hour. He forgot request for lemons, didn't poor champagne, and had no personality. We just felt like they wanted us in and out. Food was pre cooked because the potatoes were as hard as a rock. I understand when you have this many courses you have to be prepared but they were not that busy. The whole experience was very disappointing and I will never do that again at least there. It was Valentines Day and they didn't make anything special."

"We used to go to the Sunday Brunch a lot with a group of 10 or so. Prime rib & good breakfast food was always desirable. Not that much selections on dessert or fruit, but it was acceptable. Overall, for around $30 a person, it was a nice treat. HOWEVER, starting 2013 the Brunch is no longer offered. You order from a very limited menu with a all you can eat (no so edible) dessert. The 8oz prime rib is OK, but the 4oz prime rib looked like a piece of overcooked leftover, and it was only about 1/4 of the 8oz order. I think we will not be going back again."

"Wow!!! Great place. Food was excellant and service was top notch from the vallet parking to the greater to the waitstaff and bus people. The wine list had some real bargins. Affordable wine prices at a high end establishment with such a great selection of wines was really nice to see.
The Soup was to die for. The appetizers were over the top. We both had Steaks....Yum but the Lobster tail at the table next to me has me coming back real soon. I heard the guy say it was the best he has ever had.
I was a first time customer and can't wait to get back and take friends!!!
