5 Palms is an open-air, ocean front restaurant, nestled at the base of the Mana Kai Resort on Keawakapu Beach. We offer breakfast and lunch, daily from 8:00am to 2:30pm, focusing on unique twists to classic breakfast & lunch favorites. Dinner is served nightly from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and focuses on the bounty of fresh fish and locally grown vegetables that are available year round on Maui. We also offer one of the best Happy Hours on the South Side of the Island from 3:00pm to 7:00pm daily. Happy Hour features great drink specials, and half-priced pupus and Sushi. We invite you to come and relax, while the gentle tradewind breezes stir your soul and the breathtaking sunsets steal your cares away.

"We were there after dark so the ambiance of the waterfront was lost. We asked to have our candle lit, but it really wasn't bright enough to add romance. The food was good. The wine I ordered went well with my delicious prime rib. It was great to find a restaurant nearby our condo that wasn't tacos or burgers!"

"We went to the Easter brunch and it was awesome.. All the food was great, from eggs to smoked salmon and everything in between. We saw whales breeching from our table.
The staff was also very good. They have a happy hour that everyone needs to try.

"five palms has best early bird on the island. Our most recent trip we ate twice at five palms. First was the early bird which can't be beat for quality and value. Second time for dinner our last nite on Maui was good but one fish entree was a bit dry and overcooked. One family member requested a slight modification of his menu entree but food delivered did not reflect the change. A little disappointing but overall ok."

"We had a wonderful oceanside table for 6 pm. The whales were breaching as the sun set at 6:30. The setting was unbelievable. The food was fabulous, the service was casual yet more than met expectations. It was a birthday celebration that was recognized with a respectful singing of Happy Birthday and a wonderful shared desert - creme brûlée served in a hollowed pineapple half. A wonderful evening - no complaints!"

"For all the times my husband and I have visited Maui this is the first time we ate at this restaurant. Both of us liken the service, quality of food, preparation, and presentation to Fleming's, Ruth's Chris, or Morton's - in other words, excellent. "We were there on Valentines’ Day on our first day on Maui. The restaurant was very nice and we had a good table. Our two girls ordered prime rib and dinner salads, while my girlfriend and I decided to have wine and appetizers. The salads came and soon after the appetizers arrived. After sometime, I ask the server about the prime rib. He left and returned to report that they were out. I pointed out that a table that was seated after us just was served prime rib. He said well they were out. I asked to speak to a manager without much effect. Needless to say it turned the evening into a less then pleasant experience."

Dessert was amazing... order the Mud Pie! It was delicious and a huge serving. Skip the chocolate lava cake. It was tiny. Smaller than a cupcake and cost $15!

"We have been dining here for many years but something is going very wrong! The food does not represent the prices being charged. Even for Maui these prices are very steep and when you choose to pay those prices the food must be excellent. You can not charge over $40.00 for prime rib and then say you cannot serve it medium rare, it can only be served medium. You cannot list shrimp and bay scallops over risotto and have the server tell you how wonderful it is and well after ordering come back and say you are out of scallops. No bread because it was "in the oven". It finally arrived after our salads, 4 pieces for a table of 5. After a bit you start to feel you are at a Denny's with a wonderful view. People were pleasant but not trained ."

"Dinner starts at 5 PM in the restauant and we were 10 minutes early so they invited us to lounge in the beach chairs just outside next to the ocean. We received a table outside with an amazing view of the beach and water. Unfortunately the dinner menu does not include happy hour pricing but prices were still rrasonable. The service was wonderful and fast and the food was delicious. Five Palms Beach Grill's ambiance is high class and we will be returning. The best part was when a mother and baby whale started doing back flips all the way along the coastline. Very neat experience."

"Don't get turned off by the crowds - Most of the people are there for happy hour. We went for dinner and stood in a bit of a line to check in with the hostess, who then sent us on to another hostess who seats folks for the dining room. We had reservations and were seated immediately. We wanted to slowly graze and watch the sunset, so the fact that the waiter never rushed us, or made us feel like we were holding up his table, made our evening that much more memorable. I had the trio of fish which gives you a small portion of each of the chef's special concoction. It was super relish! My husband had fish which was prepared the same as one of my small portions - he also liked it. You'll be glad you tried Five Palms Beach Grill."

"This is our third year year visiting Maui and 5 Palms was always our favorite until this year. Service was poor and chuck full of lame excuses. Drink ordering was slow, the $14.00 salad was plain and we didn't even have time to finish it, as our entries arrived way too early. Pricing/value use to be very reasonable, until this year...now way too expensive. Too bad, as the beach setting is desirable and we certainly frequented this restaurant numerous times during our last two visits. Heard similar comments on significant pricing increase from others in our condo complex. Oh well!!!"

"There was a wedding party making service to the rest of the restaurant, or at least or section, woefully understaffed. I understand wanting to make the special day amazing for the lucky couple, but for everybody else, service that slow at that quite high price point was unacceptable. We waited an hour and a half to get appetizers. Drinks were empty for a while. No bread."
