"I used to go to Gumbos on the 16th st Mall. This is a lot smaller, but it is very quaint. The menu is a little different. We had a Travelzoo voucher and had 2 starters, 2 entrees and 2 desserts. We had mussels and gumbo which were both very good. Had pork loin and sweet potato puree. Pork was very tender. Also had crab cake and chicken breast. The crab cake was excellent. I really liked the okra that came with the meal, but wished there was more on the plate. Desserts were mousse and cheesecake which were both great. The servings are much smaller than they used to be and the prices a bit high, but the food was very good. I would recommend Gumbos."

"We always enjoy our dinner at Gumbo's. Kenzie and Kierstin made this meal and evening memorable. They really love their job and it shows in the excellent service they provide. Thanks for a fun evening!"

"I am a southern girl, who has also lived in New Orleans. I know good N'Awlins type food. And I found it at Gumbo's. Nice selection, great food, good prices, and good service (thank you Rick.) I would love to see more oyster dishes. Overall, a great experience."

"I love Gumbo's since they moved to this location. It more cozy and laid back. I would highly recommend this place. It's way better than their downtown location. Parking is a little challenging but overall the patio dining and good food make it worth it."

"My wife and I love eating here. It's one of our special places. Great food and the service is second to none! All restaurants needs to try and model the service given at Gumbo's."

"I enjoyed the food. It was reasonably priced and the new location was really nice. I had the sea bass and it was done very well. The Beet Salad was outstanding. The entree's were all good in my group but just missing a little something, but I would certainly go back. The atmosphere was great and the outside seating was nice. I would certainly give it another try and maybe sit outdoors."

"We were there early and had no problem with parking or getting a table. The service was prompt and exceptional. The food had a beautiful presentation and was delicious. Since we had a birthday in the family, we received a complimentary bread pudding with ice cream. As we remembered, it was to-die-for.
We have told family and friends to try it out at least once - they'll go back on their own."

"It was my first time there after they moved from downtown. It was a totally different experience, but the food was still very good. We sat inside to begin with, but the music was so loud that we couldn't carry on a conversation. They let us move outside and since the weather was very nice, it was quite comfortable. I had their mussels which were very good. I also had their red and gold beet salad. The greens were very fresh and the beet pesto was an excellent surprise. We will definitely go back. The service was prompt and friendly."

"Just okay. No problems, crab cakes were great but it went downhill from there. Just not authentic enough for me and the spices were off. Looked good, tasted okay but didn't leave thinking I'd go back. Liked the blues music and the feel of the place."

"Attended during 5280 restaurant week. Easy to get reservation on Sunday prior to us going to the theater. Decent selection. My mussels were outstanding as 1st course. My husband's crab cake was tasty but very small. Main dishes were tasty, yet extremely mildly seasoned, I expected a bit more oomph and spice. Overall nice experience and would go back to try out other items, since not many Cajun restaurants to choose from in Denver Metro area."

"Parking was a bit difficult. There's no lot or garage, however, there are 2 hr street spots if one is available. We went for 5280 restaurant week. The food was excellent. There was plenty of it. I even had a hard time finishing my meal. The sitting area was a bit small, so not much privacy. The lighting was a bit dark with one or two candles at the table; however, it was romantic. The service was great. We were constantly being checked on by various waiters to make sure our experience was the best it could be. Overall, we would definitely go here again even if it's not restaurant week."

"I ordered fried catfish; the piece of catfish was so thin, thinner than the breading. Very crunch not tender. Took 45 minutes for dinner to arrive, odd for such a small restaurant. I won't return or recommend Gumbo's."

"A big difference since they moved from downtown much smaller with only tables, more of a cafe feel than a restaurant. Food was good but the crab cake was the size go a gum ball not worth the money. It was quiet considering there were a lot go people. Would like to go back during the summer to sit on the patio"

"My wife and I joined two of our friends for dinner at Gumbo's new location at Downing and 17th Street. I actually prefer the old restaurant for it's larger size and ambiance, however, the food was still very good. We were there on the first night of Restaurant week and enjoyed two good bottles of wine for $20 each!!! I think everyone enjoyed their dishes and the crawfish etouffé and the pork tenderloin were magnificent. I like garlic, but if you're not fond of it, I'd recommend telling the waiter as it was prevalent in many of the dishes."

"Were here as a foursome for the 5280 restaurant week - great food, great service, and great value. The blackened catfish with gumbo was excellent, but frankly we were all happy with all of our choices."

"Great Happy Hour menu. I'm not a big seafood person so I tried the gumbo and it was great. I took bites of my wife's shrimp items and I thought they were pretty good, even though I normally don't eat seafood. She loved her items, the only one I can remember was a shrimp sriracha slider. They do have a lot of non-seafood options as well."
