At Carini's you cannot get any more authentic than being in Sicily. In fact Peter, owner/chef, comes from Sicily and takes pride in all that he prepares. Many of the dishes are prepared the same way his mother cooked them. He uses the freshest ingredients and can customize any dish to your liking. His expanse menu offers 5 kinds of spiedini, seafood, pasta, chicken, veal, vegetarian, appetizers including calamari, octopus salad, antipasto plates and much more. He has many imported desserts plus his homemade tiramisu, cannolis and casatta, a yellow cake infused with rum and filled with cannoli filling and glazed. Peter also sells his spaghetti and marinara sauce, garlic olive oil and seasoned salt from the restaurant as well as gift baskets. All of the products can be shipped anywhere in the US. The restaurant can accomodate parties of any size up to 140 people.
"Went with a big party and the whole experience was forgetful. Food is bland service was horrible and the chef was more interested in watching TV in the bar area than cooking. Please do yourself a favor don't go. The red sauce isn't even good enough to be out of a jar. We should have known better when we were the only party in the place at 7pm."

"Great food, great service.....was able to accomodate a large group and even had the chef owner come out and check on us. We had two brithdays at our table, and he treated us with free dessert:)"

"This restaurant has delicious food, and good service. Out server seemed a little out of sorts, or like she had too many tables to keep things straight, no major mishaps though. Only thing I didn't love was the soup, it was a chicken soup with pasta and potatoes and carrots and celery. It just didn't taste great to me, my bf liked it and finished my bowl. I had the chicken Alfredo, it was great! As were the bread with dipping oil, and the lasagna. I will definitely return."

"First time at this restaurant, will be back soon. Food was prepared very well and was a bit distinctive... not a copy of every Italian restuarnat. Had Spedini and it was tender, flavorfull and not overdone. My wife had Cabonara and it was creamy and rich. Eggplant appitizer was crisp, light without a hint of grease. Nice view of the neighborhoon. Things flowed at a nice pace, not rushed but no long waits either. I wish I lived within walking distance but I bet my cardiologist wouldn't be happy :)"

"The food was fine, but definitely nothing special. I ordered the Beef Spiedini, which didn't have much flavor. My wife had the Eggplant Parmesan, which was good. The atmosphere was somewhat sterile and it wasn't busy at all on a Friday night...not a good sign. I do have to say that the service was excellent. Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful."

"Great Sicilian food, bartender knows her stuff and makes a great drink. Chef even comes out every now and then when it's later in the night and offers up some homemade drink."

"We went here when it first opened and were disappointed. This time we had a very good meal, excellent service and it was a cozy setting to entertain some out of town guests."

"We went there for my father-in-laws birthday. They had are table ready before we got there, including the highchair and booster seat that we needed. The service was great and the food was outstanding. It is a little pricey to go very often, but it is a great place to go for special occasions."

"delicious, well-prepared seafood and pasta dishes. The bruschetta was very tasty, with a top-your-own garlicky toast and great fresh tomato salsa. We will definitely return!"

"Had not been to this restaurant for a while. Our meal was excellent. A challenge was trying to figure out which of the many tempting entrees to choose for our dinners."

"Appetizers were great and server was excellent. It was a busy night and chicken was seared not cooked through, requiring it to be returned to the kitchen. Otherwise a very good meal."

"Good, fresh food, especially seafood pastas and calamari steak. Pleasant, quiet ambiance, conducive to conversation at our table of 7, despite large party in a nearby room."

"The other reviews were so positive, this must have been an off-night for them. The specials were announced, with accompanying starch and veggies; when our plates arrived, there were no veggies. When we asked, "Didn't the lamb come with asparagus?" we were told that they "ran out" (this is a 6pm reservation on Wednesday and no one else in the restaurant). There was no offer of substitution veggie until we asked for it. Food was all right -- the shrimp and scallops in the scampi were plentiful -- but it certainly was not the typically generous Wisconsin "pour" of liquor from the bar. Then at the end, an extraneous beer added to the tab left us unenthusiastic about returning."
