"Food was disappointing. The seafood in the paella was overdone. We ordered the paella early as was requested but then it came before any of the other small plates. Waiter was busy and didn't stop by table very often."

"One word. Amazing.
From the very helpful and friendly staff, to the incredible homemade gingerbread ice cream, and everything in between, La Rambla was excellent! Great drinks, salads, tapas (the lamb nachos were particularly good), and incredible paella.
Our server was great, giving us neighborhood favorites to continue with on our trip as well as just being very friendly and helpful with our selections.

"The menu was excellent as was the ambiance. A warm, cozy bar scene where you can linger over tapas and sangria. The scallops and lamb nachos were really good but the paella was disappointing. With 3 different paellas on the menu we thought we'd get the real thing (we had the seafood) but it was mostly rice with not much flavor. And the rice was not toasted and crunchy as it should be. Next time we would stick to tapas."

"Our party of 4 ordered quite a few tapas for our meal instead of entrees. The food was very good and was delivered at an enjoyable pace, not all at once. While tasty, the food did rely too much on fatty sauces and deep frying. The tapas concept was similar to the Spanish experience but the food is definately American.
Service was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere was very lively. In fact, that is my only serious complaint. The noise level is so high that it made it hard to converse with friends at the table. Maybe some fine Spanish tapestries would help reduce the din in this otherwise fine establishment."

"I made a reservation for six people here to celebrate a birthday. We wanted to share some tapas and a paella. The server, who did mention their menu was new, was not very helpful in finding us tapas that would be good for the group to share. In addition, the scallops are totally deceiving. You think you're getting a nice big scallop but it's actually a polenta cake with a tiny sliver of scallop on top.
I would've recommend La Rambla for groups, but the paella was good so I would recommend that."

"Our group of six tried a variety of items -- hot and cold -- all excellent. The marinated olives are a nice way to start. Among the best dishes: the sauteed spinach and the lamb meatballs. The portions aren't huge, but that's the way tapas generally are. If you're still hungry, order another dish; the service is very quick. And, if you want a killer martini, this is a good place to go."
