"I can't find a superlative that even begins to describe how much I love EVERYTHING about Ye Olde College Inn. It's my husband1's and my fave restaurant in the New Orleans/Baton Rouge area!!!! Ate their for our 35th wedding anniversary in January. Ate there for my 65th birthday this week. The staff is attentive without hanging over you. the food is FABULOUS!!! It's just a superb place to dine!"

"This restaurant is not in the popular French Quarter or Garden District, but well worth the short cab ride. They offer very creative plates of traditional New Orleans fare (crawfish, oysters etc), but also offer something for everybody (chicken, beef options etc). Everyone in our party of six loved their meal and the staff was very attentive. And I highly recommend the fried bread pudding for dessert. Would definitely go back."

"This place gets packed up tight on weekends, so make an early reservation. Our only problem was that the service was almost too quick. The food was great and the menu interesting."

"Once again, I brought guests from out of town to Ye Olde College Inn, and we all had a blast! The food was great, and our server was wonderful. Our party of nine was seated in the small upstairs area, which we had all to ourselves. Everyone loved the food, and there were lots of foods unique to New Orleans on the menu. I appreciated the "gluten free" labels on the menu. After our meal, we went next door to Rock 'n Bowl for awesome live music and bowling. It was a great night!"

"Outstanding oyster appetizer with blue cheese. Fish specials and salads great. yes even the strange sounding Fried bread pudding poor boy is very good. They understand if you start with high quality food they will come. Well worth the visit for those who have not been here in years. This is not you father's Olde College Inn."

"Our dinner club (8 people) thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Our only complaint was the long booth they put us in since it made conversation difficult. Out waitress was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. The food was excellent!!! Definitely a great N'Awlins food experience!"

"Obviously a neighborhood spot. Seemed like everyone else knew almost everyone else! The food was good, but serving of greens with pork, while very tasty, was waaaay too big! Waitress was nice, but "not a fish-eater or a wine person"'. Didn't instill much confidence! We did ask about the crabcake which had been listed online as the appetizer for the day when they offered a crab "salad". She did check with the chef and "made it happen". Chef delivered it to our table and it was terrific!! Not "fine dining" but we'll go back."

"This is my go to neighborhood place to eat. They are friendly and everything is fresh and delicious. They serve until 11 pm. They take AMX. There is always something on the menu to please whatever issues your dining companion may have. Best of all, when I want a cheeseburger they can do that too. I am always pleased with my experience. Jimmy is my favorite but they are all nice. The chef always speaks to me on the way out."

"This was my second time to the restaurant and I continue to love it. In a city where you could eat at a different restaurant every meal for years, it says a great deal that a tourist is willing to go back to an establishment multiple times."

"Had not been there since I was a kid and before it changed hands. The fried green tomatoes were very good as well as the oysters with blue cheese, but the beef short ribs were to die for. They were so tender and tasty. Will definitely go back. we then walked over to rock n bowl for a little zydeco dancing. What a great evening."

"Our second visit. Great atmosphere and food. Unique New Orleans experience. You can enjoy bowling and music at the Rock-n-bowl and have a great meal at the College Inn all in the same place. Fried bread pudding po-boy for dessert is much better than it sounds."

"We were brought to a table in a reasonable amount of time, despite us being a little late for our reservation. The atmosphere was great. Exposed brick, dark wood and metal give it a warm feel. Service was exceptional. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. The food was outstanding. Southern home cooking at its best. If we lived closer to the resturant, we would visit all to often. Definitely a true "New Orleans" dining experience."
