"The charthouse is located at the marina / docks. There is an interesting view from open window inside seating. While at the marina / sailboat docks, there is no accompanying fish smell. The ambiance is very nice and the food is to match. Helpful waiters and good food."

"Having requested a lanai table with a view when making reservations, we were deeply disappointed that we were shown to a table in the dark back of the restaurant. After bringing it to the hostess' attention, she was not friendly and said our party of 4 would have to wait 30 minutes for a back table on the lanai. She was not apologetic or sincere. After gentle inquiry, she gave us a back lanai table near the kitchen that was very noisy. Then, we watched her seat walk in tourists on the lanai!
To save the night, waiter Lincoln was excellent! Attentive, friendly, checking to see if we had everything. Great food: tasty calamari, filet/shrimp, outstanding rib eye (our waiter's suggestion), garlic steak and molten lava cake to die for."

"This restaurant has a prime location right at the marina,. We had a table in the first row ,but even seated further back you can have a nice view.
The Caesar salad was good, my husband ordered pork and it was very tasty. But my shrimp stuffed with dungeness crab tasted like iodine and I found them inedible. I did not order anything else, and they were removed from the bill.
The place is really old and shabby decor, but if you want decent food ( except the shrimp) and a marina view, dine here."

"This restaurant is run down and over priced. The decor is tired. During our visit the waiter was slow to provide service and bus boy dropped ketchup all of the floor and splattered on us. There are much better restaurants in Honolulu to choose from. Avoid this one if possible."

"I thought the meal was very expensive for our entrees. The Caesar salad was very good, but the meal was not $160.00 worthy. My husband and I both had the baked stuffed shrimp. The hollandaise sauce, which apparently comes on everything......was cold. He had clam chowder and said the flavor was good, but it was missing "stuff", there were no potatoes or clams in the soup.
The dessert was excellent, we both had the chocolate lava cake."

"Service was outstanding. Food was good, but when a special wasn't prepared to one of our party's liking (just preference, not the fault of the restaurant) our server graciously replaced it with something more suited. He could not have been more accommodating and interested in our experience being a good one. Enjoyed a beautiful sunset from an ocean front table (if you can arrive when the restaurant opens for dinner you are more likely to get a view table)."
