"My husband and I went on Father's day and took our 7 month old daughter with us. The staff was very accomadating to us having an infant with us. They even talked and played with her. The food was very well priced for what we got. The homemade goetta was the best my husband and I have tasted. My sweet potato biscuits and gravy were awesome comfort food and I had plenty left to share with my husband. The cocktails were well mixed and very tasty. I can't wait to go back and try La Poste for a wine dinner."

"La Poste is one of the best restaurants in Cincinnati. Our meal was great. The highlight was a special appetizer of foie gras on toast points and fruit jam. Everything else was very good. The service was excellent. Our one slight disappointment was the bread pudding which was not tender in spots. The menu is creative and inspiring for those who love food."

"I had not been to La Poste for about a year. We were disappointed to find that the sommelier we had enjoyed (a part owner) was no longer a part of the La Poste team. When I inquired about a wine list I was directed to the dinner menu listings. The food was good. The service was mediocre--not especially engaging or knowedgeable. All in all I would not rush back."

The average customer age range is 30-40s. This is place is perfect if you are looking to have a nice, sophisticated meal in an environment that feels relatively young (in contrast to restaurants like Primavista and the Celesial which generally attracts an older crowd).

"La Poste is a very cool restaurant with ambiance galore. We took our adult daughter as a special treat and were glad we did. The braised beef was exceptional. However, the duck dish was a bit skimpy on the duck and only o.k. So, the menu needs a bit of tweaking, I'd say. The staff here is on its game and everything else was quite fine. "My Wife and I normally frequent the downtown restaurants, but it was our anniversary and since we were married in Clifton, we thought we would give La Poste a try. For our first course, we both ordered the seared scallops which were perfectly cooked and accompanied by a sous vide poached egg, bacon, greens and blue cheese.
My wife ordered the seafood risotto for her second course. It was delicious, creamy without being too heavy or cheesy. I had the braised short ribs with sweet breads. The meat was falling apart tender with a nice crust on the outside. Overall it was an excellent dining experience; definitely worth the change in routine to head up to the Gaslight district in Clifton."

"So many friends love LaPoste- had to try. Chef treats everyone to fruit salad w/crips - a lovely treat. Great wine list. Both of us had the seared tuna salad. The wasabi tobiko was a great touch. I had the salmon with cous cous - cooked to perfection. My husband had the 50/50 burger (beef and lamb) - there wasn't a crumb left on his plate. The waitress was attentive without hovering. The restaurant filled up while we were there: didn't feel rushed; not noisy; tables not crowed. Dessert: hubby had the bread pudding (doesn't like b.p.) loved this - wanted to lick the plate! - I had the chocolate mousse - not up to par - it was runny - lost it's solidification. But, hubby still ate it all. Great evening. Great dinner. We will be back!"

"It had been awhile since our first visit to La Poste, and it didn't take long to remember why we hadn't rushed back. The food is excellent, and the seating comfortable. The music is a little grating, but what is really off-putting is the hovering wait-staff. The female employees tend to speak in baby-voices, for one thing. Our waiter (who I'm sure told us his name, of course) was one of those types who describe the preparation of the food in future tense (it will be prepared with . . ) and he inquired about our dining experience every ten minutes, using the first person plural (how are WE enjoying). Personally, I like to be left alone a bit; I'll let "us" know if there's a problem."

"WE had heard from some locals that this place was great. Come to find out it was one of the best dining experiences in a long time. The adult beverages were liberal. "First visit for brunch at La Poste, after many dinners here. As always, the food was inventive and delicious. I would have loved to have eaten every bite of the mountain of Sweet Potato Drop Biscuits with Maple Sausage Gravy, but it was so much, I finally and regretfully had to cut myself off. The bloody mary drinks were generous and extremely well seasoned if you like them a little on the spicy side. The roasted celery was an interesting and nice addition. I do want to call out what a great job they did accommodating our 1 year old daughter. To a person, it felt like the whole serving team interacted with her, talked to her, or made us feel welcome. Thank you for that kindness!"

"We have been to La Poste many times and have always had a great experience, but this time was extra special. Our waiter from last visit overheard me say how much I loved artichokes,and they had a special treat for me during this visit (really delish). I have been to many restaurants repeatedly (as once I find a good one I tend to go back fairly often,)and I have never seen this kind of attentiveness. Absolutely blown away. The service is alway first rate, as is the food, but this was really above and beyond. So much appreciated"

"The food and service were spectacular as always, but I was a little disappointed to see Chilean Sea Bass as the seafood feature. In my mind, talented chefs at smaller, independent restaurants are looked to for setting the direction of the food scene in a city, not continuing irresponsible practices. I would expect Mr. Taylor, whose bio on the website mentions his “special considerations for organic and sustainable farming practices” would have the sense to stay away from serving one of most overfished species available. I will hesitate to return to La Poste, despite the consistently good food and excellent service, because of this break from the purported standards that the chef claims to uphold. Too bad."

"We returned to La Poste after having two previous delightful dinners in the Fall of 2012. We were not disappointed. The staff are genuinely friendly and create a welcoming atmosphere. Their cocktails are well made. The menu is simple and well done. All four of us had the veal shank and it was great! Well done and an ample portion. The scallop appetizer was super. Lots of reasonable wine options. The dining room was full and energetic but not distracting. I would highly recommend La Poste."

"The food was delicious & attractive, but for me, the overall dining experience is what made this a fantastic night out. Our waitress was superb; personable & extremely knowledgeable of the food & wine. The atmosphere was cozy with a casual up-scale feel; plus the space didn't feel overcrowded even though the restaurant & bar area were full. Everyone was very friendly, our waitress was prompt but not overly-invasive & made great suggestions from the menu when we asked. The hostess was one step ahead, having our coats ready at the door & the valet with our vehicle perfectly timed with our exit. Excellent place for a date night or dinner with good friends."
