The Pines Steakhouse - San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino
Located on the second floor of the San Manuel Casino, the critically acclaimed Pines Steakhouse has established itself as a hideaway for foodies seeking a dining adventure in the Inland Empire. Tucked away from the excitement of the casino gaming floor, behind giant frosted glass doors, the Pines has all the glitz and glamour of a Las Vegas style dining room. From the oversized scarlet red booths, to the gold lit bar top, the experience is pure decadence. The menu is modern American and features richly marbled center-cut U.S.D.A PRIME steaks including a 20 oz Bone in Rib eye and a 14 oz. boneless New York Strip Steak. Other menu highlights include tender 10 oz. Filet Mignon, slow roasted Prime Rib, and world class seafood such as Giant Alaskan Red King Crab Legs slathered in garlic butter, Scottish Salmon with Vera Cruz Butter, and Miso Chilean Sea bass. All entrees at the Pines (excluding pasta dishes) include the Chef's daily selection of fresh vegetables.

"I have to say that this place is near the top of my list for steak!
I have been to many places and this place is a hidden gem among the casino slots on the second floor.
Was able to reserve a table quickly and upon arrival was greeting in the most friendly manner.
The little things go a long way at a nice restaurant.
Not a single snob in the house.
Waitress and staff were the best.
The food was excellent and the price is the best around for an excellent steak.
And no sales tax!
Go there today, tomorrow, or your next chance.
Ask for Rebecca to be your server and you will not be disappointed."

"We enjoyed a lovely meal and enthusiastic service in March. On our next visit in May the service, menu selections, and actual texture and flavor of the food was disappointing to say the least. We spoke highly of the Pines and were anxious to share our find with friends and relations. The worst of it was that the staff really did not seemed concerned about whether or not our experience was positive. Consisitency and friendliness will make or break a restaurant."

"Who knew that within the casino was a great restaurant? Food was reasonably priced, well presented and delicious. The decor and service was great as well. Both the prime rib and filet mignon were both prepared as requested and very tender.The pre-fixe Cinco de Mayo special was a great deal. What more could one ask for except for the restaurant to be open the whole week?"

"Made reservations for my first time dining at the pines. Great atmosphere to start, and had a great server named rebbeca! Had great help from all the employees at the pines!! My experience just kept on getting better. Food was mouth watering and delicious. Had tickets to see a show at the casino also , but time was getting close for show to start. Still had dessert coming and was worried about being cutting it to close and being able to enjoy our dessert. So our great server rebbeca made arangements for us to come back after the show to enjoy our desserts. Wow talk about great service overall. Very pleased with all staff, its gonna help me not think twice about coming back to the pines! Thanks agian."

"Food is great, wait persons wonderful. Only complaint was the bar service was very very slow. Even getting our first drink order served was long. Subsequent orders almost didn't get there until we were done with the meal. Don't know if the delay was the wait staff or the bartender. The house signature martini is to die for!"

"The Pines is what I would call a fundamentally sound, upper-tier dining experience. No real flaws, but nothing that is amazing or unique. The service was good, the atmosphere nice, and the food quality generally excellent. I particularly am impressed with the crab cakes appetizer, as well as the flavor and tenderness of the filet mignon. You cannot go wrong having an intimate dinner or a small group occasion at The Pines. If I were to point out one thing that could use improvement, it would be menu variety. But an excellent choice overall."

They should try to attract clientele outside of casino players or move location closer to high rollers or high limits or have an outside entrance bypassing the casino for clientelle not there for gambling. There must be a neighborhood close by they can attract."

"We chose the Prix Fixe dinners and we were not disappointed. I had the french onion soup for my first course, so yummy. I decided on try the Salmon Vera Cruz for my main course, the fish was tasty and cooked to perfection. The third and final course I chose Peanut Butter Pie, my husband chose the Cheesecake, both were excellent. I will say that the next time I will get the cheesecake, it is my new favorite."

"We have eaten there several times. The service can be outstanding or terrible. On this particular occasion it was not good. They brought the wrong meal to 2 of the 4 people in our party & they argued that it was the right food when they brought it. It took more than 30 minutes to get the correct meals. So 2 of us ate, then the other 2 ate. The server never came to check on us while we waited for the correct meals - never. She even seemed to avoid us. The manager was gracious & we appreciated that. We were very excited about going for a nice dinner. Sadly it just all went down hill. And the whole thing took so long that we left without any gambling."

"We selected to dine at The Pines because we where attending a show at the Casino that evening. The restaurant was not crowded when we arrived. There appeared to be ample staff to properly serve the guests. Unfortunately the service did not meet our expectations.
We arrived at 5:30pm ordered two bottles of wine and an appetizer. The appetizer came to the table but no wine. We finished the appetizer before getting served our wine 20 minutes later.The main course was served but our side dish of asparagus was missing. We had finished our main course, plates and silverware removed from the table when the side of asparagus was brought to the table. The server was very polite. Not sure what the problem was this evening."

"The restaurant has never disappointed us. We did notice some changes in menu style which was fine. I would like to see possible a dinner special that is not on the menu for Friday's or Saturdays to give patrons a little variation from your regular menu. Also how about a piano player in the restaurant during restaurant hours for Friday & Saturday. We love going to New York Grill for this reason. Flemings is to loud and your food is better."

"Service was the first disapointment. Our waitress was asking for our dinner choices before our cocktails arrive. When asked where are our cocktails she mentioned that the bar was slow in getting out the drink orders. Looking over at bar revealed two bar tenders and less than five people at the bar. The resturant was not packed at that moment.
Dinner was presented and looked apealing. My wife asked for a glass of wine to go with her dinner. Halfway thru dinner the waitress appeared with the glass of wine.

"Very surprised with this restaurant . Their menu had a very nice variety of food selections. I selected a Cesar salad and prime rib. The prime rib was cooked as ordered. The vegetables that came with the meal were very tasty. We were able to select a nice bottle of wine for a very reasonable price. Dessert, peanut butter pie, was heavenly. We really enjoyed this place. You do not hear the noise from the casino just on the other side of the door. The only down side is that you have to enter the restaurant through a smokey casino."

"We went for Valentines Day - weren't sure what to expect as far as wait time. Our reservation was for 6:15. We explained we were attending a concert that started at 7:30 and asked our waiter if we would be done in time. He assured us we would. Our food was was amazing, Chilean Bass and New York steak. We had plenty of time to enjoy it. This was our 2nd time at The Pines and we will definitely be back."

"Great restaurant in the casino with very nice looking and delicious food. If you're a Club Serrano member they let you use the buy one get one free dining coupons so you can get a really nice meal for two for around $50 with non-alcoholic drinks and tip. There's no tax as it is an Indian reservation. Highly Recommend."

"Atmosphere was fairly quiet - early Friday evening - but very pleasant service made us feel special. Food was fabulous and portions were appropriate (filet mignon with shrimp; one had salad, one had the French onion soup). The Pines Signature Martini made me wish I wasn't driving so I could indulge in more than one!"

"I found the the prime rib chewy and not fond of the pepper crust. The bar needs more of a selections of martini specials. Noticed this restaurant doubles as "nightclub" I like tradional steakhouse not a "dance house". Service very slow when getting check."

"I request a booth seating I was 20 mins late and did not get one they told me it would be a longer wait and for party of four I was with .we would be cramp in the booth I would have like to been the judge of this or was it something they was just telling me cause they gave them all away.I made reservation 1,2 weeks in advance,Disappointed."
