"This was our first time and our waiter(Daniel) was awesome. Without Daniel our visit probably would have been a drag. He explained everything he recommended the best meal ever and it was. He made us laugh so hard we were crying . He made my Mother's Day one I will never forget. The food was excellent as well as our waiter . Always ask for Danielle and u will have a night out that will never be forgotten!!!! Thanks Daniel and the melting pot!!!!"

"I expected so much more. The food could have been better for the amount I paid. Everything was given in small proportions to share except for the entree. The ambience was nice and dimly lit. The server was very good and attentive but none of it was worth the $84 bill we received! Should've just went to Houston's or Flemmings."

"We went for my daughters 16th birthday. We had a wonderful time. The food was great and the service was wonderful. Fernando was our server. He did a wonderful job handling my daughter and her friends. He made the evening for them all. I'm sure the restaurant was glad to see us leave. "The experience was 4 star, the pricing was 4 star but the service was steak-n-shake. The fondue concept is great but the service team should be either fired and started over or the existing team must go through a major service training over haul. The service team was loud, unprofessional, they all ran around as if they didn't know what was going on. The ambiance was good bit the music they played was all over the place which took away from the experience. They charge high prices for the food and the food experience is actually good but the staff and the music takes away from it."

"My daughter and I ate at the Melting Pot for her 13th birthday. This was a very special occasion for her, because she officially became a teen and she got to eat at the Melting Pot for the first time. It was everything she expected and more. "Usually we have an excellent time at the Memphis Melting Pot. This last time, however our service was quite poor. Glasses sat empty for 10-15 min at a time. Things were forgotten. I can't blame it all on the server. Staffing was extremely short on the Tuesday that we went to visit. Our server was serving 6-7 other tables at once which caused poor service for all parties involved. It was my girlfriends birthday that we were celebrating and she did not recieve her chocolate covered strawberries. When our entrees arrived, we were given 2 blue cheese sauces instead of Green Goddess because they were all out of Green Godess. HOW DO YOU RUN OUT OF GREEN GODDESS?1? Usually we have a great time at the Melting Pot. This last time was poor"

"This was my first time to a fondue restaurant and I took my 15 year old daughter for her birthday. She was really looking forward to it and the dessert in particular DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! The salads were great (the Ceasar salad with sugared pine nuts was a pleasant surprise)The cheese course was a little disappointing because the cheddar still tasted too much like the beer base. A reminder of this from the waiter might have steered us to a milder cheese combo. I wish we would have skipped the main course altogether, because of both the higher cost and that it was mostly just "good" not excellent as we had looked forward to. Worth going to again for a special occasion."

"I love this restaurant and it wasn't a bad...but there were some notable detriments to the experience. Everyone was nice and attempting to do a good job. Having said that-No one that we experienced had any "finesse." The greeter did not appear confident. She did appear young and without a dignified style. The waiter was a little loud, flighty, and unrefined. He waved the spoon large spoon around the foods and in front of our faces when explaining the food. He was nice and attentive...just lacking in training. At the end, a young lady came up and was asking how our meal was and if she could do anything for us. Then, she said "well your meal is over so I guess not, but...." Again, these young people just need training in presentin"

"The salad was best part....when I spend $95 for a meal I expet it to great food an It was far from great. I ordered steak lovers and the steak was so tough I could not chew it up enough to even thank about swallowing unless I wanted to choke. My wifes was the same way....this was our anniversary and we wanted something special and it was not. "My husband and eat here a couple times a year. We live 2 hours away so it is a bit of a drive for us but it is worth it. Every drink from the bar I have ever tried was delicious. You should know that you may have to wait for a table if you don't have a reservation. If you have young children, it has more of an adult atmosphere plus with the hot fondue top you would be worried your young child would burn their hand. I would recommend this to any of my friends or relatives that will be in the Memphis area."

"The Melting Pot isn't everyone's cup of tea. In today's world everyone wants a flavor safe meal in a quick timespan. If that's what you're looking for, don't waste your time.
However, if you want a relaxing, romantic, and flavorful experience that you can enjoy with a special other or a close group of friends, The Melting Pot is perfect! You'll love the complex flavors of the various dishes. The environment is intimate. The staff is always great. Did I mention the food?
Plan to spend 2 1/2 to 3 hours enjoying time with your company there. Plan to splurge a little on the full 4 course meal. In the end, it's one of the best restaurants in Memphis if you're looking to enjoy a meal instead of just eating one!"

"first time at melting pot was as expected. I have heard so many good things. My wife and I ordered a table with two pots, so that we could sample or options.(highly recommend It was good to try different things our first go around. The setting was perfect with the big booths and the dim lights. We will defiantly be back. Service was unbelievable on the other hand they were kind of slow, but service was awesome. The only negative feedback I have for the place a little over priced. make the dinner portions bigger and dessert smaller."

When we got there we were greeted just fine, but were sat at a table right near the front. It was very loud, not at all intimate. We'd told them when seating, we just wanted dessert and instantly the mood changed. I understand they want the big ticket tables, but servers should realize a table ordering dessert is commonly going to be one testing out the place and they would come back and pay a full bill if treated well. It took forever to get our water, a dessert menu, anything. We were never checked on after dinner either."

"Never made it to the meal. Had a 6:30 reservation, not seated until 6:45. We were sat down at a broken table! As soon as you leaned on the table it pulled away from the wall. When I asked to sit at one of the 4 open tables next to me I was told no that I would have to wait for another table to open up... At that point I was over the Melting Pot! As I walked the manager, who i had already spoke to didn't tried to take care of it or even apologize. I'm a regular at the melting pot however this was my last visit!"

"Everything was great. The greeting staff was friendly and very courteous, the food was delicious (Dat dessert! 0____0), and our waiter was hustling to make sure everything we needed was seen to with urgency.
The only complaint was the foldout tray stands: Our table was located by what was apparently the designated depository. Waiters were constantly picking and dropping off their tray rack right next to us. It wouldn't have been an issue, but they were just kinda haphazardly leaned against the wall, inches from where we were eating. I was fine, but it bugged my gf who was facing them.
Other than that (very) small complaint, the experience was excellent. We'll be visiting again and would absolutely recommend it to others."

"First time experience! It was great. The food was good, but the main reason one would probably come is due for the experience. You cook your own food in a broth of some sort, which makes anything you eat succulent and delicious. However, this is not a quick meal. The portions are not large, but if you do fondue, entree,and chocolate dessert you will surely leave satisfied. A bit pricey, but was worth the experience."

"When we first arrived staff at front was happy and welcoming. Service was excellent. Server was friendly and accommodating. Staff was timely in getting us to our table promptly and at our reservation time. Server took time with us to explain how every thing went and all the items we inquired about on the menu. He checked back frequently to see if we needed assistance. The food was great, cheese appetizer was flavorful and tasty. The main course was good as well. Meats and seafood was fresh. Well prepared and presented in a clean, eye appealing way. Then on to dessert, which was delicious and really topped off the night. The Melting Pot made our Valentines very special. We will be returning for other special occasions."

"We chose the restaurant to celebrate our 19th anniversary because if the restaurants reputation. Atmosphere was nice. We apparently arrived on a a slow Monday night because the restaurant was empty. The strawberry salad and chocolate turtle dessert were wonderful. We weren't as impressed with the cheese and meat fondues. We would like to try something different next time."

"Having been to Melting Pot on numerous occasions previously, I was looking forward to a wonderful night with my wife, celebrating an early Valentine's Day since the kids were their grandparents' house.
Overall the food was very good, the service just OK (with the exception of the bartender and one of the server assistants), but the temperature of the restaurant was so hot that we had to get our dessert to go. It was so hot and humid that I had to go outside several times to cool off and, when the efforts of the manager to cool things off didn't make a dent, we finally had to leave. Even my wife was uncomfortably hot! It was by far the most miserable dining experience of my life."

"OpenTable got us in quicker than expected. Several people were waiting when we arrived. We went to bar and before we even finished ordering a drink they had called our name. I think we were getting the evil look from other people that didn't use OpenTable.
Service was excellent, each person (not just our server) that came by was very welcoming and had their own suggestions and hints."

"My family had a great time.! My girls ages 5 and 6 had the time of their lives " cooking" their own dinner and the creme brulee dessert. I have visited this establishment often without the kids but I'm loving the new kid friendly menu and the new items on the menu made it hard to to choose. Ty, our waiter, was extremely nice, knowledgeable about the new selections, and made the experience that much more enjoyable! The girls even ended up with toys to add icing on the cap!"
