Ellerbe Fine Foods is a restaurant and market focused on fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients. Ellerbe’s relaxed yet stylish atmosphere provides the perfect backdrop for an evening lingering over fine food and wine, a business lunch, a nice meal before a show, dining with friends, special occasions, or a nightcap of dessert and coffee. In-season and local foods not only taste better but are better for you. Chef Molly McCook uses this principle in her cuisine, making for a constantly evolving seasonal menu of locally grown, sustainable products, bringing ingredients from our partner farmers to your plate. Our wines and many of these products are also available for sale in our on-site market, so you can continue the Ellerbe experience at home and beyond.

"Ellerbe's pays attention to every detail on the plate. Every dish is well planned and everything we had exceeded expectations. There was not a single crumb left on any plates and the staff was respectful and attentive without ever being overly attentive. We cannot wait to go back. We went for dinner on Sat evening and actually wanted to go back on Sunday but left town before dinner. Only complaint was not being able to go back on Sunday."

"Our first dining experience at Ellerbe's was a complete success. We enjoyed the emphasis on local ingrediants as well as the Cajun/Creole slant to the menu. Our server was very well informed and able to make good recommendations on both food and wine. We especially enjoyed the heirloom tomato salad, beet salad, redfish and trout. We will be back."

"I was very pleasantly surprised with Ellerbe! I unfortunately had a few friends who did not enjoy their experience there but I experienced the complete opposite. The service was friendly and attentive and the food was fresh and prepared with great care - the stuffed trout is outstanding. Definitely a fan of anywhere that changes their menu with the season to cater to the local produce. I was surprised with how light and content I felt after our meal over the usual full and ready to burst at the seams, it is a nice change from the heavy steakhouses. Will definitely be going back for the summer menu!"

"We've been to Ellerbe's a number of times and as always, the food and service was great. Our favorite long term waiter has moved on to another restaurant but our new waiter was very good. I had originally made the reservation to take an out of town guest there for dinner but when she had to cancel, we kept the reservation and had a great dinner as usual. I love the combination of casual atmosphere (very FW) with great food!"

"The service is a tad slow and the rabbit was a bit bland. My partner loved the veal though and the dessert was great as well. The cheese platter we had as a starter was a joke - way too small (minuscule pieces of cheese and ham). We most likely wont be going back."

"I normally don't write restaurant reviews but the food here was exceptionally good. Starting with the soup and the tomato salad (home gown tomatoes picked ripe taste and smell so good!) and then through the main course (I had rabbit and my wife had the stuffed trout) and finishing with home made ice-cream and bread pudding.

"Ellerbe fine foods had been on our restaurant bucket list for some time so for our anniversary this year we booked it. Flawless and unbelievably delicious are the two compliments that come to mind. Ashley was our excellent server who knew the provenance of every morsel and suggested the best red wine I have ever had (and I have had a LOT of red wine as I am old). This is going to be the place we go when we crave perfection.

"We went to Ellerbe Fine Foods with some friends after seeing them in Southern Living. The old gas station has been transitioned into an exceptional restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. The food was simply amazing, and I know that word gets over used but it's appropriate in this case.
For starters my wife ordered the Scott Farms Heirloom Tomato Salad, I had the Louisiana Crawfish Pistolette - a small roll bathed in absolutely delicious crawfish etouffee. For our main course my wife had the most succulent seared bay boat scallops that I've ever tasted while I had the cornmeal red fish. Desert was their bread pudding which was as good as everything else they served.
We can't wait to go back for more!!"

"What a wonderful dining experience. We'd heard that Ellerbe's was noisy, so we purposefully made early reservations (at 6) and went when we could sit outside.The food was fantastic. The tomato salad with with lemony crispy garbanzo beans was delicious. as was my friend's white bean soup. Our partners ate carpaccio and both agreed that it was the best they'd ever had. All the entrees we had were good: rare tuna with beans, lamb, and veal shank; but the star was definitely the lamb with a slight curry rub and a perfect smokey,lightly flavored sear, juicy and tender. The desserts were also excellent, with my number one choice being the Mam maw bread pudding. Our server was a perfect blend of helpful friendly competence.Thank you, Ellerbes."

"Food items were not hot. Warm though. One Tuna entree specified as medium was given to the wrong party. Cheese appetizer tray was iffy. Food had good flavor, portions small (the less is more concept was disproved years ago). Desserts were a little flat. Not a good deal for the money."

"Ellerbe's is a nice little restaurant. The staff was a bit rude as they did not greet us,and a waitress was curt with us because we were in her way as we were seating. That being said, our actual waiter Scott was phenomenal. He was very attentive, knew the whole menu backwards and forwards, and offered great advice. I cannot speak enough good things as the best waiter we have come across in a very long time. As to the food, it is incredibly fresh and while the menu is a smaller menu, it offers a wide variety of types of food and ingredients from all over. The downside is the portions are very small compared to others in town. The main entrees while eclectic do not have the most flavor. While worth trying, I do not think I'll be back"

"My husband and I were in Fort Worth for a conference and we discovered a good review of Ellerbe on the web. I like the concept of farm to table so we gave it a shot. Eating at Ellerbe ended up being the best part of our trip. The waiter was attentive but not hovering/irritating. The wine suggested was excellent and the food was fresh, unique and delicious. We will return!"

"We went to Ellerbe because we we love local, farm to table menus. Our reservation was for 6:30, we arrived early hoping to have a drink before dinner. We were welcomed and the host offered to seat us early and we could enjoy a glass of wine, or gave us the recommendation of a bar just across the street.(Ellerbe does not have a full bar)We enjoyed cocktails across the street- an excellent recommendation. Our dining experience was wonderful. The server, I believe her name was Ashley, gave great information, it was clear she understood the menu and was able to give recommendations based on what we said we liked or disliked. She was friendly, knowledgeable with wine pairings, and had perfect timing at our table."
