"So as a result of our son's birthday, Gotham was the restaurant of choice. Atmosphere was special. Drinks were master crafted.
Wine was superb, the staff couldn't have been more attentive. Their attention reminded me of the cruise to Alaska. And the food was explained to us in detail. When it arrived, it was so tasty. We left feeling full but not that ugly stuffed feeling you get elsewhere. EXCELLENT quality on all counts. Thank you, we'll be back."

"Everything was perfect. Our server made great suggestions and modified the portion sizes of the sides so we could fit everything in. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the snap peas were the best I've ever eaten!"

"Visited group of 6 experienced member. All of them were surprised about quality, especially taste and texture, of food, wine. Although it said 'steakhouse', here we could have magnificent seafood. The tower is an excellent for a group. As they recommend, Canadian beef is tender and tasty. If you have a chance to visit Vancouver, at least you need to be there once to experience local specialties."

"I've heard tale of Gotham for some time now and was finally able to go (admittedly with a hefty gift card in hand, so we splurged a little). Their staff and service was very friendly and quick to offer information on the food and the wine list. The food came in perfect timing and everything was spectacularly delicious. There was soup, salad, steak & lobster and salmon and everything was fantastic. The dress code was a little less than I had imagined "smart casual" would be but it certainly didn't take away from the experience. Simply great."

"I am actually disappointed by Gotham. Maybe I had high expectation before I went as everyone said it is great for steak.
Appertizer was good, but steak... kinda dried.
Had the big plate of Tbone and mignon.
Kinda chewy for mignon, and not much of meat flavour.
Very disappointed as I brought my mama for.mother's day.
I would say I can cook better mignon I buy from costco than spending money there.
Sorry Gotham, you only had one chance, and I won't recommend my friends to come."

"This was our first time at Gotham Steakhouse and we thoroughly enjoyed it! My partner and I both ordered a filet (Chicago-style) and it was perfection. Cajun spiced mushrooms, asparagus (just the right degree of crisp) and a baked potato rounded off the entrée. It was my birthday (mentioned very early in the evening) and our server remembered when it came time for dessert. Highly recommended!"

"Reserved the upstairs private room for our largest customer. The lunch menu was somewhat limited but adequate. One of the customers and i had one of the specials and it was fantastic. It was a shrimp with truffle ravioli. The presentation was superb and the customer (and I agree) said it was the best meal he had all week in Montreal. Two of our people had the fillet but it was overdone. Interesting to note that our guests commented that they were at Gothems for dinner and they had the same issue with their steak.

"By far the best restaurant I have been to, and definitely my new favorite! Will come back in the future for special occasions again. Our waiter was very patient with explaining the menu and suggesting which entree would be best for our individual tastes - thank you! I especially liked how Gotham reserved a booth table on the second floor for my special dinner celebrating my boyfriend's birthday! Although we weren't able to try the "birthday dessert" in the end (we were too full from the main dish!), I'm sure it would have been fantastic :)"

"Had the garlic shrimp which was underwhelming, but hey, it's a steakhouse after all. Boyfriend had the new york strip which was soo delicious and perfectly cooked. Sides of mushrooms (which were absolutely mouth watering) and onion rings. We also had the lobster bisque, which we both did not like, as the alcohol (truffle smell?) was too overpowering. Crab cake was nicely done, and we finished with a glass of moet and a new york cheesecake.
All in all, was a good experience and I would come back! Just a little expensive though."

"We try to get to Gotham's at least a couple of times each year when we visit Vancouver. The food never disappoints, and is served well, with decicious cocktals and wines. Although steak is the king here, the double lamb chops are to die for! Just watch when ordering sides: one side will easily feed 4 people, so ask for smaller versions if it's just the two of you."

"Most people know the reputation of Gotham, which is why I went. My $56 steak was overdone. Asked for medium rare and it was far closer to medium. If i was anywhere else...not a big deal...but because it was Gotham...A big disappointment. The seafood bisque was great...Lyonese potatos were good...and asparagus were very simply done."

"The food was excellent! In quality, presentation and taste. It was also more healthy than other restaurants. I loved that our waitress told me where the oysters where from (a local company I am familiar with) and was very helpful with our wine choice.
The only negative for me is the price... Definitely not a restaurant I can visit on a regular day, but for a special occasion (as my birthday on Sat), I will definitely be back!"

"The server gave us horse radish that was very spicy. And knowing that their was a more milder horse radish. The server said that was the only one they have and we questioned him that we been here many times and the other servers always asked us how spicy we wanted it.
Everything else was fantastic. We come here often and we will always come back for the quiet enviroment and great food."

"The service was fantastic. The food was good, the steaks prepared exactly as ordered to the definition.I realize they are known as a steak house but I would have liked to see a few more options on the menu. The pricing is a bit over the top for just a slab of meat on a plate. I have been to much more elegant restaurants that don't charge like Gotham does."

"What an awesome experience. I took a friend out for a birthday celebration and by simply making a coment to my friend at the table, the waiter picked up on it and brought dessert out with a Happy Birthday wish and a candle. WOW. I never said a word to the waiter about it and for them to pick that clue up wow'd me. Fantastic service. Pricey but well worth it as the food was incredible.

"Horribly overpriced. Our steaks were not cooked as requested, the creme brulee was over-torched, the food overall was barely edible. I had decided to give Gotham one last chance after a number of weak outings, and it failed miserably. This restaurant has been visibly coasting for some time, and I can only hope that when a proper steakhouse comes along Vancouver will support it well and relegate Gotham to the side of the road where it belongs. Compared to steakhouses such as Smith & Wollensky (NY, LV) or the Metropolitan Grill (Seattle), this is a sad joke. In Vancouver, go to Hy's for a better experience and better value."

"The food was very good, the Restaurant had a very bad gas smell from the time we arrived @ 11:30 for at least another 30 minutes - comflcting " theories" to why - regardless it was quite strong and unpleasant.
The front Hostess was not very friendly, period. Terrible way to greet guests, especially when the restuarant was not very busy..."

"Me and my girlfriend came here for our two year anniversary and the experience was really great. We were seated where we wanted, the waitress was attentive and showed us the menu and knew everything about the foods. We loved the atmosphere and choosing our foods wasn't too difficult. It was the first time I tried lobster and it was the best thing I ever had (in the seafood department) and the steak was cooked to my liking. Loved it. I will come back someday."

"It's way over-priced, though nice ambience with high ceilings and fine lighting. Entree's and drinks are any different than what you might find at the Keg or a Milestones but they charge a premium."

"WOW, what a beautiful room. Top notch service. Family dinner of 6. We all had steak, just what we expected from a first class restaurant. Cooked to perfection, seasoned just right. Had appies and shared veggies as well. Can hardly wait to go back. Pricey, but for a special occasion, so worth it!"

"I have eaten here several times. Unfortunately all four guests had steaks that were tough and not cooked as requested. We were basically ignored after the meals . I will have to look for a new Steakhouse in Vancouver"

"What an AMAZING dinner! My husband and I started out with cocktails in the lounge......they were very good. We moved into the dining room and our server Krystina was beyond outstanding. She moved us to a better table when we told her we were not in any hurry and just wanted to take our time.
She recommended an excellent bottle of wine and we were not disappointed.
The food was way beyond my expectations. My husband said it was the best steak and lobster he had ever had. My steak was wonderfully tender and cooked perfectly. We shared two sides which was more than enough. We shared a dessert which was enough for us after our main course.
Yes it is expensive but worth every penny we spent!!"
