"Food is quite expensive and you expect to have near perfect dishes. That was not the case on my most recent visit. My asparagus appetizer was supposed to have an soft egg on top but when I cut it open it was overcooked and did not spill over the asparagus. It was also missing the marcona almonds that the waitperson had to go back and get. My salmon was cooked properly but was just okay. My husband had a kale salad that had too much dressing on it but his tuna dish was cooked to perfection. We have been to the Bristol Lounge many times so I consider this an off night but when you are paying theses prices there shouldn't be hiccups."

"I hosted a hen party for a small group of "mature" hens over lunch and we could not have been happier. Our server was perfect; she kept a watchful eye but never interrupted us and let us linger and party-on as long as we liked. The cocktails were great - mint juleps in honor of Kentucky Derby day, and the food was outstanding."

"The Bristol Lounge is my favorite restaurant for Pre-theatre light dinners AND for tea. However this visit did not live up to its normal standards. This visit we were sat next to an unusually rowdy group of 5-6 men who we acting as they would in a neighborhood pub. We moved, but still were relieved when they left as they were more than "energetic".
I ordered the Kale salad at $18. The serving was SO small...all that was on the plate as a small handful of raw chopped kale, a few crumbles of cheese and a single strange looking thing that was advertised as a crouton. The waiter took it back and had more Kale added to the plate...Even though all the price points on the menu are high, this normally does not happen."

"I've been to the Bristol Lounge before and enjoyed it more. It was freezing indoors, at the end of April. We were really ignored after the restaurant became full. And for a hundred dollars- no drinks- we got one salad and one sandwich with coffee. Seriously not worth it. Nice view of the Public Garden though."

This time, however, the food was really bad (wilted lettuce, greasy, under- or over-cooked, which is fine, if you're not asked to pay so much for it. It was too bad. The waiter was very attentive. "We just love Bristol lounge. It has become one of our regular evening dinner spots. Every dish is perfect. And oh, the Saturday dessert buffet and the Sunday brunch are divine. "I had my usual Bristol Burger, it was so-so, good compared to other places but after all it was a burger, fries was very greasy, Cesar salat was okey. My friend did like her cod dish. Problem was the bar noise was too much. I do not think it is a place to go for food but to have something to eat at a decent atmosphere. I think it is the ambiance and service that makes us come here and for a short time makes me feel rich."

"Top notch brunch, absolutely incredible food and service, the Four Seasons does not disappoint...the croissant french toast is absolutely amazing as well as the lemon ricotta pancakes...if you want to splurge, the $50/person sunday brunch buffet is amazing...prime rib carving station, smoked salmon, you name it, they have it...and a deliciously perfect bloody mary as well...a real treat! "Our waiter was either severely understaffed or hugely incompetent. He struggled meeting a minimum level of customer service and seemed to be in the weeds during the entire dinner. He spilled wine on a nearby table and then proceeded to ignore us the rest of the evening while he tried to "make it up to them". Food was fine but definitely outshined by the poor service...not something I have ever experienced or would expect to occur at the Four Seasons."

"The service was outstanding - exactly what you'd expect from the Four Seasons. So enjoyable. While my husband and I try to mostly eat Vegan, their menu isn't really made for that. However, the assistant food & beverage manager gave me her card and said they would make a special vegan meal for us the next time we came back if we just call them in advance so we plan to do that and see how it goes. They did offer a DELICIOUS vegan pumpkin soup with a coconut milk base that my husband is still mooning over days later. Our server was also extremely helpful with the wine selection. Very knowledgeable. Wonderful experience."

"Very elegant and good food too. All staff courteous and smiling. That is a big plus. We were not rushed as they allowed plenty of time between courses. It makes you realize how quickly some restaurants serve food to get their tables to turn over. Soups were excellent as were the entrees. Unfortunately we weren't able to make it to dessert. Extensive wine list. Prices consistent with a high end restaurant. Not a place to go to everyday but a frequent visit wouldn't be a bad thing."

"We love brunch at the Bristol Cafe because of the wonderful service, relaxed atmosphere and good food. We had brunch at the Bristol for our daughter's 16th birthday and were once again very happy with our experience. Although the brunch is a buffet (a la carte is available too), the food is quite good. The desserts are fabulous and the salads, cheeses, lox, meats, etc are really wonderful. Standard brunch buffet fare (eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc) are better than any other brunch buffet we know but not of gourmet quality. The carving station (prime rib, pork, etc) was fabulous! We have been many times and are never disappointed; a sophisticated family atmosphere fit for city dwellers, grandparents or young couples. Enjoy!"

"I booked this table for a special occasion, my sister's 70th birthday, with a window table. No notice was given that this was requested so we had to wait for 15 minutes. Also the birthday occasion was forgotten. Disappointing but our waiter did come through with a delicious cake for the table after prompting. Shouldn't have to "make" the occasion happen at this venue."

"The food and atmosphere at Bristol Lounge is GREAT. Will certainly go back. Our server on the other hand was not very attentive. She Never asked us if we wanted Drinks, she skipped right to ordering food. She then took quite a long time to check on us after our meals were served. She was quite slow bring us the bill and then cashing us out - And it wasn't because we still had food or drink to finish, we had been done for at least 20-30 minutes. I would still return to Bristol lounge because the food was quite good!"

"I have tried the mozzarella, the lobster ravioli and the lamb chops. The lamb chops were the best for sure. The mozzarella was tasty though I felt as though they are overrated. (reviews on yelp made them sound more amazing than they actually were) But still, it was tasty but the lamb chop was AMAZING. I definitely recommend that dish.
Also, the service is amazing. All waiters have an Italian accent...or maybe it was the three waiters that I happened to interact with but they were so sweet regardless.
Can't wait to go back to this restaurant again!"

"Highly disappointing...really sad as the location is fantastic and the Four Seasons is such an icon on Boston. I've eaten at the Bristol Lounge since thd late 90s and While it used to be really good, now in the last few years it has gone down hill at progressive speed. And the prices are crazy,, $7 just for a cup of bad coffee...really disappointing."
