Located in the heart of Midtown, Remi restaurant was created and designed by Adam D. Tihany and chef Francesco Antonucci. Remi combines the cuisine, architecture, and atmosphere of Venice.
"Horrible service. Wait staff was no where to be found! All the diners were begging for someone to at least refill water glasses. Food was so mediocre. What a letdown. Used to be lovely"

"This was the first time we ate at Remi. It was right next door to the Hilton at 53rd St. so it was very convenient since we were staying there. The ambiance was great. Staff from the young woman who greated us at the door to the wait staff were professional and courteous. Food was excellent and presented nicely. Great find in a great area in New York."

"Welcoming, good service, I've enjoyed every dish that I've eaten or sampled. Not overly pricey either. Classy and lovely ambience, actually timeless. Highly recommended."

"We enjoy returning to Remi. Pretty setting, civilized space between tables makes conversation possible, convenient location, good menu choices and delicious food. We had a low key and helpful waiter who made our out-of-town guests particularly pleased with our selection of REMI."

"This was a nice restaurant off the main bustling streets of New York. By no means was it red-checkered tablecloth but the food was true to the spirit of regional Italian cooking. The dishes were balanced and thoughtful and sizes were perfect for sharing. Some ingredients might not have been in the prime of season but the chef's delicate touch made everything quite tasty."

"Had a great meal there before the theatre. The pasta dish with the crab, asparagus and lemon sauce was out of this world. We will definitely be back."

"Remi is the perfect combination of great food, great ambiance and great service. No matter what you order - you are satisfied. Even though the restaurant if full of tables, the service never suffers. You receive very personal and sincere service.
It is always a fun and memorable experience."

"Very pleasant dining. Not too rushed as some places are and quiet,business-like service but friendly. The prixi-fixe menu (pretheater for us) was a great value with good appetizer choice and good main course Would definitely go there again"

"I had bologanese and it was fabulous as usual as was the cabernet as a compliment. My friend had the salmon dish which was very bland and unfortunately, she had a glass of Chardonnay that was likely old, and not good at all. It was replaced however. Looking forward to Remi each visit I was sorry her experience was not as good as mine. It's a lovely restaurant with several special occasions being celebrated!"

"Took at least 15 minutes to get our drinks, and then they were the wrong drinks. The wait for the correct drinks was equally long. Fortunately timing for food was much better and nicely presented."

"this was a disappointing meal; first, the service was really slow. If a risotto first course is going to take 20 minutes or more, they should tell us when ordering. the veal milanese was pounded so thin that it was totally overcooked when deep fried, losing all of its flavor and tenderness. other than that...."

"The evening started with a nice private table by the window.
My friend and I hadn't seen each other for over five years. We appreciated that our wait staff was attentive, but also gave us the appropriate time between courses. It was very relaxing and enjoyable.
The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was very nice.
I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again in the future."

"Food was very good. Would have been nice if I got what I ordered. Server finally stopped by to ask about desert. When I told her I ordered the taglioni with brown butter and truffles and got the taglioni with lemon sauce and crab, she said, "that was my mistake, I should have asked"? Got a cup of coffee and then she never stopped back to get the check. Had to flag down another server. I am used to restaurants/servers that make mistakes to offer something to make amends - free desert, take the Item off the bill, etc. guess this total indifference to the customer is a NYC thing."

"Remis was recommended by our hotel and it was an unexpected treat. It was a Sunday night so it was quiet, but this was a nice change in a city that is so noisy and busy all of the time. The food was very good and the service was spot on. It was my husbands birthday and they treated us to some fancy Italian cookies and a nice dessert wine to top off our dinner. It was a very pleasant evening. Would go again and will tell my friends to try it out"

"The food was terrible. The polenta and mushroom appetizer was dry, flavorless and goopy. I was so disappointed. We were there for restaurant week but o excuse for the food to be subpar. I wouldn't have let it go out of the kitchen if I was the chef. The chicken milanese was flat and soggy. It had a terrible flavor as well. I wont be back,"

"Underwhelming at best. 2 out of 3 lunch orders arrived incorrectly and beverage order never appeared. Waiter only reappeared with the bill. Food portion was ideal for lunch but flavorless."

"I've been to Remi several times - always for Restaurant Week dinner. This time I was surprised to find that the food is no longer as good as it used to be. I started with barley soup - good, but nothing out of the ordinary. My entree was liver over polenta, one of Remi's specialties and a dish I've had there before. The liver was quite tasty, but the polenta was too dry and sticky. I ordered tiramisu for dessert, but what I was served lacked the traditional lady fingers and coffee. It was just a lot of creme filling encased in molded chocolate. Perhaps the food on the regular menu is better, but I don't plan to try to find out."

"Wonderful Northern Italian food, lovely service. The great George Lang of des Artistes said that he judged a restaurant by their bread and coffee, reasoning that if they cared enough to get right what no one came to a restaurant for, they'd care about everything. Remi has excellent bread and coffee-- and everything else."

"My husband and I greatly enjoyed our dinner at Remi. Although this was a Thurs. during Restaurant Week and the restaurant was busy, we found the service and food to be excellent. I ordered from the Prix Fixe menu: tasty polenta with wild mushroom appetizer, salmon served with sauteed escarole, tiramisu. My husband ordered from the regular menu: a generous portion of very good spinach salad with pecorino cheese and raw mushrooms. The waiter complied in serving the dressing on the side. As entree, the signature Remi spaghetti with spicy red peppers had more sweet peppers than hot peppers, but it was still good. We also enjoyed the red wine and hot coffee. I would highly recommend Remi."

"We enjoyed our dinner at Remin; the bread was wonderful, and the desserts were fabulous! My appetizer was a little disappointing, not much flavor (I had the polenta). My main was good (ravioli stuffed with tuna), could have had a bit more seasoning. But overall we very much enjoyed our dinner at Remi!"
