"Fabulous variety, wonderful tastes and choices, outstanding service, and beautiful views overlooking Rittenhouse Square. Cold first choice slections were absolutely fabulous. Breakfast dishes and deserts were very, very good. Only items below extraordinary were in-kitchen meats. The rack of lamb should have been better than it was - undercooked and too fatty, and the sliced skirt steak was somewhat less than we expected at this level; on the other hand the duck confit was GREAT. A lobster dish at this price would have been welcome."

"We ordered the Salmon and the Halbut, both were fresh. The service for the food was quite slow hoenstly, but I give it five starts for the following reason - I was deciding between a lemonade and a Chardonnay, and on the server's reccomendation, went for teh altter. When he noticed I wasn't sipping it enough - I thin he assumed I did not enjoy it - he gave me a lemondae on the house without my asking - which was delightful with the salmon. The attention to detail was thus truly impressive and makes me want to go back again."

"We returned for dinner here as we had a business conference in Philadelphia this weekend and had been there a number of years before. Again, we had the four course dinner with wine pairings and it was magnificiant! We both especially loved the fois gras dish, our second course. I would consider flying down again, just to have that one more time! The wines were lovely and the service attentive enought without being intrusive and that is not an easy task. Loved having 2 types of butter to go with the various breads, too. We skipped dessert, so can't comment on that, tho they looked lovely. I would highly recommend LaCroix to anyone."

"Food was excellent - we had the tasting menu and paired it with a flight of wine (the cheapest of the 3 wine options) but it was expensive so I'd recommend for special occasions (bill for 2 was $550). Each course was delicious and unique and small enough to enjoy and not feel overwhelmed by the 8 courses. Service was v good although first 3 courses came in quick succession and then the gap between courses 4, 5 and 6 was a bit too long (as the restaurant got busier). Conservative decor."

"What a beautiful day to have Lunch at Lacroix. We were hesitant as our past lunches in the last 5 years have been a disconnect from a lovely and elegant dinner and Brunch service but the Menu looked new and vibrant and the service is always spot on and the ambience is a home run. finally have a great Lunch menu to boot. It needs a few more dishes and a tweek here and there but my DP hada beautifully charred Romain and preserved lemon and smokey onion , I had a Foie Gras that was in a cashew butter and had grapes and a little guadillara pepper on the plate. Beuatiful dish but need done without grape stems. My entree was a perfectly cooked and sliced Hanger steak w/barley sun dried tomato and lump crab . excellent Great mini desserts!!"

First, our server took us for a tour of all the stations which included a few stations in the kitchen. Everything from the raw bar (oysters, shrimp, sushi) to the hot/cold entrees (short rib pad thai, crispy duck, foie gras milkshake) was delicious. The service is also exceptional!
We had an amazing view of Rittenhouse Sq park which made for an enjoyable, tasty afternoon. We shall return as this brunch is worth the drive from NYC."

"For the second time, I've had the best meal of my life at LaCroix's Sunday brunch. The all-you-can-eat buffet is just my style and the small portions allow for a huge variety of tastings. "Sunday brunch is pricey per head, but well worth it for the selection and experience. Raw bar, multiple dessert stations, lots of salads and vegetable dishes, a couple cutting stations (both fish and meat), charcuterie, and a couple stations for hot prepared foods are more than enough to satisfy any craving you may have. If you still need your muffins and cereals, they have those, too... but I'll take short-rib pad thai or even braised brussel sprouts over Cheerios any day (or lamb chops, or duck confit, or soba noodles with lotus root, or sushi, or blood orange sorbet, or...). Take the tour, otherwise you may not find everything, and the service is impeccable. Also, get a reservation, and get it well in advance."

"Sunday brunch, if you go be ready to have your mind blown, a wonderful looking restaurant on the second floor of the Rittenhouse hotel overlooking the park. The amount of choices and quality of the food and it's preparation is beyond compare. I definitely recommend visiting their web site and having a look at the brunch sample menu to get an idea of what you are in for, the brunch is set up buffet style with 6-7 different stations, appetizers, raw bar, breads, main courses, carving stations, desert, 2 chocolate fountains and a liquid nitrogen station that flash freezes desserts. Beautiful atmosphere and a helpful and friendly wait staff."

"If price won't hinder your choice of restaurants, you will have a very difficult time finding better food, service or ambience. This place is truly an elegant and palate pleasing find. Walking into the actual kitchen to choose certain foods on the Sunday brunch really is a specisl treat."

"A group of six of us went to dinner while in town for a meeting. We thought the ambiance was terrific--quiet enough that we could easily converse without having to raise our voices to be heard. Although we were a group, there were many couples. The food was outstanding; the staff eager to accommodate dietary requirements. The wines (we had 5 bottles among six of us--four different wines [we ordered a 2nd bottle of the carmenere]) were also outstanding. The sommelier was exceptionally helpful. Will recommend to all my foodie friends."

"Dining was SUPERB - no complaints at all. The odd thing was that I tried to make a 7:00 reservation online about a month before the date. All that showed as available was 6:15 or 8:30 or so. That lead me to believe that the restaurant was real busy which seemed odd on a Tuesday night (2/19/13). In reality we were the only ones there for the first 45 minutes or so. In all only four tables were full when we left at 9:00 or so. I was kind of surprised especially since that 7:00 reservation would have helped us avoid rush hour. My husband was flying out on a business trip the next day so the 8:30 was too late."

"My husband and I had not been to Lacroix since the residence of their second chef and now, I believe, they are chef number five. The level of quality has been maintained exceptionally well! Due to the high price tag of the meal this probably would be only a special occasion restaurant, but when dining there you will feel like a king or queen.
We attended on Valentine's Day weekend 2013 and had the prix fixe menu. The selection and diversity of the courses were amazing, ( albeit the portions small). However when you factor in eight courses ( 5 listed, 3 free) the $125 price tag per person seems more reasonable."

"The service could not have been better. However, we were really disappointed by the food. The special Valentines menu was below par, and we also ordered a few items off the regular menu which also tasted like normal boring bar food. A good spot for a date, but the food was just lame."

"Let me just jump on the bandwagon and say Lacroix is still one of the best dining experiences in the city. Omar took care of us for the valentines menu extended through the weekend. The change to a prix fix menu is a plus. If you have allergies or food aversions, they will accommodate. Otherwise, give up the reigns and let them do what they do! Relax and enjoy the evening. The wine pairings are a plus."

"Food very nice but a bit pricey for what you get. The appetizer and lobster ravioli were first rate, but the short ribs were a bit overglazed for my taste. My wife had the suckling pig, which was very good, but an extra charge, which at $75 for the tasting seemed a bit much. The bill overall seemed just a bit too high, even for a 5 star restaurant. The service and ambience were both outstanding. The servers were professional: knowledgable about the food,(including ingredients and preparation), as well as the wine. I love the decor and the overall feel of the place and the view of Rittenhouse Square is just perfect on a romantic, snowy evening."

"Very nice place. Service was impeccable, which is a nice change from the run of the mill spots in town! We were there for lunch during restaurant week. Two of my 5 companions said the food was not as good as they'd had previously. But, the restaurant week lunch options were maybe not the best to show off the the chef? I had the mixed green salad to start (dull!) and the Rohan Duck (very good). Others had fennel soup (good reviews) and the scallops and tagliatelle (both with decent reviews). The portions are small, which I like. Trio of small desserts, two of which were good, and one that was so-so (lemon tart and banana cheesecake thing were good, and the caramel pufflike pastry was boring). A Phila experience that must be tried!"
