"we came on mothers day for the buffet. except for the shrimp, the protein offered was mediocre at best. The salmon was tips and tails, basically scraps. the roast beef tasted processed and the ham was low grade. the bacon was raw. i do not remember if a vegetable was offered,. no salad, no soup. the dessert was a chocolate brownie. i was so embarrassed. The whole way to the restaurant my mother kept saying how she could not wait for the great desserts. All we saw was a plate half full of poorly cut brownies. the server did not give us any information regarding the buffet, such as free mimosa to the moms. i dont know if they were."

"On my reservation (for Mother’s Day) I requested to have a table by the widow. When we got there, they sat us in the middle of the dining room, when I request to change table, the hostess said that they CAN NOT move us due to how the table was reserved. Within half an hour later, I witness two women request to have their table change to be by the windows and the hostess granted their request. Meanwhile, the table I request to change to sat empty the whole time while we were there. This made our dinning experience at Bayfront very upsetting. We will properly never return to this establishment again."

"Went for my birthday. Took us very early for our reservation which was very nice. Had the short ribs and the dish was incredible. Didn't need a fork.Excellent sauce with mashed potatoes. Enough for breakfast the next day. Pretty view to go with wonderful food."

"We went for the Bistro 41 special and found that the times had changed from 4-5:30 when the ad I had said 4-6:30. The prices are very high including $8 for a glass of house wine!! Really?? View was beautiful but cost with tip...over $90 for 2 glasses of wine, soup and salad is ridiculous."

"The opening note of the experience: an indifferent and singularly unenthusiastic greeting. After identifying our name, there was a check of the computer screen, no verbal or non-verbal acknowledgment; a grabbing of menus and a wordless procession to an area where we were proffered a choice of tables. There was NO smile. There was NO verbal welcome. Our waitress was prompt and efficient but failed to "up-sell" us on "better wine" beyond the "41 Special". Their sister restaurant (Bistro 41) "up-sold" us when we were there last and we were delighted with the outcome and were expecting a similar overture here. Nonetheless, our prior experience @ this same addressed restaurant under prior management was disastrous."

"We had a wonderful wedding anniversary celebration here. The weather was perfect and because I had noted on our reservation it was our anniversary they gave us a wonderful table outdoors along the railing. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The service was friendly and impeccable and we were made to feel very special by both our server and other staff in the restaurant. I highly recommend you make Bayfront Bistro a must if you're visiting Fort Myers Beach. We may well be back by the end of the week."

"My review is based on a dining experience on Easter Sunday so don't judge the restaurant solely on this review. I've had some really great meals here and will come back because the ambience is superb!
I wish I could say that this was a fantastic experience, but I cannot. Service was wonderful, attentive, friendly, not pushy. The table was extraordinary, on the deck overlooking the bay. Temperature was in the high 70s. Superb.
The menu was very limited. Understandable as it was Easter Sunday. I had a Caesar Salad and the Braised Lamb. Both good, not fabulous. My guests had prime rib and salmon. No complaints. No kudos. The chocolate mousse had no taste.
I will come back, just not on a holiday."

"I'm sorry to say that we did not have a great experience. The service was awful. No one ever refilled our water glasses. Never brought the coffee that was asked for twice. Never got my second requested 'All you can drink' Bloody Mary. None of us wanted the risotto that came with the salmon and we made some substitutions. When our plates arrived they were all on a bed of risotto, with the tomato coulis poured on top of the salmon. Apparently no substitutions could be made due to the limited menu on Easter.
The plate of salmon on the white risotto on a white plate and the red tomato coulis poured on top of the salmon did not look appealing. Picture a piece of salmon on top of cottage cheese with ketchup poured on top…..yuck! On a positiv"

"Took our family here for Easter dinner and was extremely disappointed. Had eaten here on numerous occasions before. The seating hostess was aloof, rude and gave a bad impression of the restaurant. Food was ok. Their signature dish the butterfish was over cooked and would recommend butterfish at Roy's instead. Incidentally, this is the sister restaurant to Bistro 41where we had a similar disappointing experience last month."

"Always excellent food, never had a bad meal there. Our waiter was very nice and took good care of us. Service was a little bit slow to start but once you taste the food it doesn't even matter! Front house staff though need to get it together a bit, I waiting there for at least 5 minutes watching them discusse in front of of costumes where they should seat people and switching a lot of tables around. In my reservation I stated we were dining with a handicapped person in a wheelchair, thy had not made the proper accommodations. They eventually figured it out though and everyone had a lovely evening, we will always use this place as our go to special occationaly place!"

"Extremely slow service. Cold food. Staff was obviously overwhelmed and stated a "perfect storm" had hit the restaurant and caused all of the problems experienced. Management got involved but with little results. Very unpleasant experience."

"Six of us were there two weeks ago for the early $41 dinner. We thought it was a great deal, and dining early was ideal for my elderly aunt and uncle. When friends from Canada passed through town for the first time last weekend, the obvious choice was the Bayfront Bistro. We had the early deal again and everyone was very pleased. Great view and a beautiful evening. Excellent service. And I like being able to book reservations online."

"I was treated to piece of grouper that was cooked almost to the consistency of jerky. My wife had pasta primavera that was floating in a runny cream sauce and my son had a Velveeta grilled cheese. Once the food was delivered we did not see our server for 20 minutes. By that time I had gnawed through half of the fish jerky before I decided to throw in the towel. If our server had just stopped by sooner I'm sure they would have replaced my grouper and I would have been happy. As for the rest of the meal, I believe the primavera was doomed from its inception and my 5 year old didn't mind the processed cheese.
As a couple with a child, we felt as if we were written off.
