This restaurant reinvigorates Boca Raton’s Mizner park dining scene with lively ambiance, striking interiors and a chef-driven American menu presented by award-winning celebrity chef Matthew Danaher. Restaurateur Gary Rack’s newest dining destination debuted in June 2010 after nearly $4 million in renovations, including eye-catching décor elements by Karen Hanlon and a chic indoor/outdoor bar and lounge area, perfect for game-watching or smoking a cigar. Grab a power lunch, enjoy “farm-to-table” dinner options, or grab cocktails and mingle. Lunch and dinner served daily. Happy Hour is daily from 4 – 7 p.m. and features half-price drinks and appetizers.

"The food at Racks was delicious. The crab cake salad outstanding. We are from Palm Beach and are used to pricey dining but for lunch this was a little excessive. Salads $35? It was wonderful but be prepared for $$$$."

"We had dinner for 60 sum guests and I have to admit I was nervous if a restaurant in mizner park could accommodate something like this and I was pleasantly surprised. It was brilliant and I will be sure to book here again when the occasion calls for it. The menu was pre set and our guests were all happy with the choices they choose for us. The desserts were amazing and my favorite dish!

"We had a reservation and were told the check was just dropped at a table and it would 5 or 10 minutes.So,we went to the bar for a drink to wait,wait and wait.I had to literally call across the bar to someone if we could get a drink.There were three unapologetic hostesses who bordered on rude. We are now 30 minutes past our reservation time.We saw two managers at the restaurant.Neither took the time to come over to us though we were clearly unhappy.40 minutes after our reservation time,we sat at a table that wobbled so much that my drink spilled.The waiter was very nice,courteous and professional.The food was so so at best.nothing to come back for.Customer service is clearly not important to the managers.More happened, but not enough room."

"This restaurant is NOT at all child friendly. Saw a previous review that said it was but what a mistake. 3 adults and 3 children ages 7-8-9 totaled $150.00 including tip. I asked for a children's menu and they said they had none. But said they had a child pizza so we ordered it for our 7 year old, I had a hamburger and my wife and son split 2 fish meals with our 2 other grandchildren. Add 5 soft drinks and 1 beer and the unbelievable sharing charge for the 8 and 9 year old which bumped up the meal an extra 5 bucks because they said it includes more food. Since we were a party of 6 being 3 adults and 3 young children they also charged an automatic 20% tip. Many families visit Mizner Park so I am very surprised of their policy."

"It was our first visit to Rack's and the four of us, not always the easiest to please, all enjoyed our dinners very much. We sat on the back patio which was delightful, and the service, considering it was a busy Saturday night, was reasonably good. We'll definitely return and recommend it to friends, as well."

"We have dined at Racks many times before and enjoyed the entire experience. Tonight, however, must have been a "off" night for Racks. Our server was elusive, particularly just after we received our meals...which was when we really needed him. Two meals at our table were cold and by the time we were able to get other staff to notify our waiter, ten minutes had passed. Those that ordered the specialty burgers were pleased to find their meals hot, juicy and delicious. The ambiance remains the high point at this restaurant with over-sized white chandeliers, fun booths, interesting lighting and patio dining--just stick to ordering the burgers and salads!"

"The best meal I have had in a long time. Great service! Cool atmosphere. You are inside but feel like you are ousted. Huge bar in the middle. Big tables, fun for a group. It is not cheap but it is worth the money. The menu is not huge but anyone can find a good choice. Can't wait to go again!"

"This was our second time to this restaurant. The food was very good but the service was extremely poor. We had to flag down the waiter for anything we needed. We would consider going back to this restaurant because of the food but if the service doesn't get better we will not go back again. There are lot of restaurants in this area with great food and great service."

"We came back into town on a Tuesday night. Very slow night, not only in the restaurant but in the plaza itself. Food was excellent as always. Ambiance is elegant. And the GM was extremely hospitable. Must try if you haven’t yet."

"We arrived at 5:45 for an early dinner before a 7:30 concert. We informed our waiter of our timing. He brought our drink orders and then disappeared. We received our appetizers around 6:30, however at 7:10, we still did not have our entrees. Every table around us was served. Many of them had arrived after us. Our food arrived at 7:15 just as we were deciding we needed to leave to get to the concert. Neither the manager nor the waiter apologized. The waiter turned it around and blamed us by saying "you shouldn't have ordered chicken since it takes longer to cook." The chicken was over-cooked. We wolfed down the food and paid our bill...the full bill since they did not even offer to give us a break for ruining our dining experience."

"The food is very good, which is why we return. However, not allowing an early diner (with Open Table reservations) the table of his/her choice spoiled the latest experience for us at Racks/Mizner. There were two and then three booths of our choice available until we were ready to leave. Having to sit at an undesirable table spoiled the experience for us."

"Restaurant is beautifully decorated. Very enjoyable place to relax. Service was very attentive. My wife had a salad which she really enjoyed. My burger was first undercooked and then overcooked. Such a beautiful place and this is not the first time my burger was ruined due to chef error."
