Paco’s Tacos & Tequila offers big Texas flavor in Charlotte’s SouthPark neighborhood. FS Food Group founder Frank Scibelli traveled Texas with Tex-Mex culinary expert and cookbook author Robb Walsh in order to uncover the secrets of authentic Tex-Mex recipes, and the attention to detail shines through in the bold flavors of each dish. A variety of spices that season Paco’s dishes are imported from a Texas-based company, and a tortilla machine creates fresh tortillas daily.
From the Wood-Fired Grilled Fajitas to the Cheese Enchiladas with chili con carne, Paco’s menu showcases the freshest quality ingredients. Central to the dining experience is the bar, which features more than 60 tequila varieties, several outstanding wines and a selection of beers from Texas, Mexico and North Carolina. No need to travel to Texas for your fix-join us for lunch or dinner seven days a week and see why Paco’s is the city’s new hot spot!
"I have had drinks and meals here several times on visits to Charlotte and, regardless of the day of the week or how crowded the place may be, the food is hot, fresh and flavorful; the drinks are cold; and the service is terrific. It will always be on my schedule when I visit Charlotte!"

"Food is awesome, service is awesome...only knock on it is that we were seated in the lower bar area and that is very loud compared to the dining room...and we didn't have a choice of seating."

"The food is well prepared, and this place is slightly nicer than the typical Mom & Pop place. Inside are plenty of TVs to occupy the sports fan and the staff here is always friendly. The menu is a little more limited and slightly pricey, but I don't have any major issues with. A solid 'B' restaurant that I would never think to suggest, but never be against eating at."

"I have been to Paco's many times, and my wife and I have never been disappointed with the service or food. We always have a friendly, attentive server (even when they're packed!), and the tacos, chips, and guacamole have always been top-notch. I highly recommend the Turkey tacos. Pulled turkey, jalapeno bacon, and avocado really go well together--I have ordered three of these every chance I get. Also, the table-side guac is worth every penny! I'm not a big drinker myself, but the collection of tequilas seems quite impressive, and my friends tell me the jalapeno-infused tequila is a mouth and stomach burner that is not to be missed."

"regular of the restaurant, but first time to be seated in the larger dining room. Big mistake, way too many families with very loud kids. Will be asking to be seated in the smaller dining room area in the future. Food was good as always."

"We have four kids so dining out can be a challenge. We love going to Paco's Tacos. Both the kids and the adults love the food. It is a playful atmosphere so I don't have to worry about the kids disrupting someone's intimate dining experience."

"The waitress was good at first and after talking to two other staff members to get her so we could pay the bill and leave, it still took over 10 minutes for her to respond even though she saw us finished while taking the order for the table beside us."

"This is the best Tex-Mex we have found east of the Mississippi since we moved here from Texas 7 years ago. Excellent quality and Texas sized portions! The margaritas rock. You won't find a better one in Charlotte."

"Paco's Tacos and Tequila is a favorite of mine. My boyfriend (a Texan) loves the fajitas, which says a lot about them! They have a great gluten-free menu as well. It means a lot when the two people with us with Celiac could eat without worrying about their allergies. The staff is always friendly, available, and accommodating. We went for my sister's birthday last weekend and had zero trouble with reservations. They made sure we had a great time. The food is definitely what keeps bringing us back, but the service is definitely appreciated."

"My husband loved the brisket tacos. A friend we went with also got tacos but they were very dry. When he asked for some sauce the manager then came by and offered to make a new batch. The second time was much better and no sauce needed. The enchiladas I got were just ok. They were dry too. Wait time is high on the weekends. Even though we had a reservation we still had to wait about 30 minutes."

"It was unique enough with some unusual twists on items - but not strange..... Salsa was really good - not too tomatoey with a kick - which I tend to use as a barometer for Mexican type places...Good atmosphere - noisy but not loud...."

"My husband actually requested coming here for his birthday after our first visit to Paco's during Restaurant Week. It's definitely one of the best of its kind in Charlotte, maybe the best. Servers are super helpful in providing information. Our server was able to describe the different tequilas and how they were made in my husband's tequila flight. The El Dorado margarita happened to be their special that night, and it was perfect. As our visit before, we left stuffed to the gills with my chicken chimichanga and the pick your own tacos is awesome. The only slight disappointment was our calamari app, which was a bit greasy and overcooked."

"Saturday nights are always tricky with a group of people. The wait, yep even with a reservation... but that happens and it's okay, was exactly what we were quoted. The food was just as good as always. Drinks were yummy!"

"Our 2nd visit to Paco's confirmed our 1st impression: they do food right, & with great service from front desk to waitstaff to managers doing the friendly check-in, they make sure you're enjoying your stay while you stuff yourself with the freshest ingredients around. I'll be returning to share a pitcher of margaritas with the girls, after which I suspect I'll be checking back in to rave about their bartenders, too. Well done!!"

"Food was good. However, service was horrible! It took about 20 minutes after we ordered to get first drink. We never received appetizer we ordered. We were going to order another drink during meal, however, no one ever came back during the meal to check on us."

"1st time at Paco's Tacos. We made a reservation thru OpenTable & waited about 10 mins past our reservation time.No big deal,it was 7:30 Friday night & packed.Food: took one look at the salsa & was not impressed. It looked like spaghetti sauce.Clearly gone thru a food processor too long.It was also way too strong black bepper tasting. The heat level was not the issue, just the odd amount of black pepper.I ordered the make your own combo with enchiladas dennis, chicken taco milanesa & the veggie quesadilla. Loved the quesadilla & the enchilada but the chicken in the taco was a cut up breaded chicken tender. Was NOT impressed.Overall it was fine but very pricey & gross salsa. (Chips were nicely done.)Service was great. No complaints."
