"I paid $30 for a "Columbus Dine Originals" three course meal with wine. I have always been and continue to be a huge fan of Rigsby's, but I was dissapointed with the portion sizes of my meal selection (five peice of ravioli for a $30 dinner). Maybe I'm just an uncouth typical American diner who expects heaping platefuls resulting in unhealthy weight levels, and maybe the point of Dine Originals is to get smaller samples for a better price, but I was dissapointed and felt bad for having encouraged four friends to pay out $30 for five peices of ravioli."

"We went early for Dine Originals Restaurant Week, prior to attending an evening performance. We were greeted and seated promptly, then ignored for almost 10 minutes, as staff set up other tables. When our waiter appeared, he asked for our drink order, and had to be firmly prompted to provide a cocktail and wine list. After this rocky start, the service was acceptable, and the food very good."

"The food was very good but our waiter couldn’t have cared less if we were there. After barely acknowledging us all through dinner, he placed the check on the table without uttering a word. Asking how we enjoyed the meal or maybe a thank you for coming in to dine would have been nice."

"We found Rigsby's Kitchen to be everything we had been led to expect by friends who had recommended it. From the polite attentiveness of the valet, to the friendly and warm greeting by the maitre 'd through the attentiveness and recommendations of our waiter, the service was excellent. Each item we ordered was delivered in a timely fashion and each in its own right, a delight. Our expectations were rather high and we were pleased that even those were exceeded. We look forward to returning to sample the rest of the menu."

"I have to admit that I was a bit let down. I thought it was going to be a lot better then it was by far. The food took a long time, it was served barely hot and even my coffee tasted like instant and was luke warm at best. Don't plan on returning, sadly."

"Very expensive food for the size of the portions, and not that good either. I got the capellini with salmon and could barely find the salmon. And, what was there could hardly be tasted because the vodka pepper sauce was so strong. My son got the gnocchi; it was a very pitiful portion. We dine out a lot and I think I know what food costs; you will get a lot better food and portions for the same price at a lot of other very fine restaurants in town."

"The food and service is always great. Pastas and mushroom risotto are good choices. For meat lovers--try the hamburger, lamb shank, and pork belly.

I don't often order dessert, but the deconstructed tiramisu is bland, even though the ladyfingers are made in-house. My opinion is that dessert should be either light and refreshing or rich and decadent, and this dish is neither. Overall, this restaurant remains one of the best."

"Food was boring, bland, and overcooked. I ordered sea bass wrapped in prosciutto (the nights special). The texture of the fish was equivalent to eating a steak (OVERCOOKED!) and the sauce was watery and did not blend well with the vegetables nor the prosciutto. My boyfriend ordered the NY strip. It was supposedly cooked at medium rare but was closer to medium well and all you could taste was the charred/burned bits of the outside. My friend ordered the risotto with parmesan and prosciutto. While the flavor was decent, not very exciting of course but decent, the risotto was sopping wet and the rice was mushy. The bread was on the stale side and the butter was tasteless. Not even barrels of salt nor bottles of wine could save this meal!"

"Rigsby's provides a great balance between delicious gourmet food and casual neighborhood dining. I don't mean casual in a jeans-and-t-shirt kind of way, but you don't feel like you need to wear a suit to eat here either, which is nice. The portions are on the small side so be sure to ask about portion size if you are particularly hungry while perusing the menu. The ambiance is excellent with an elegant, tastefully decorated restaurant and bar. If you can, try to get a table near the window to enjoy scenes of the Short North as you dine."

"We had been to Rigsby's in the past, but not recently. Cuisine and service were always tops. Our last visit wasn't so!. Service was okay, but not very attentive. The most troublesome aspect was the food, itself. Rigsby's reputation over the years had it as one of Columbus' best restaurants, and we agreed with the critics whenever we dined there. Based on this experience, we no longer support such a status. The salads (a classic caesar and a Belgian endive) were okay, but that's about it. The soup was a sweet potato and crab that should not have been served. My entree (seared scallops)was good, but not great. My wife's serving of house-made ravioli was small, over-cooked and relatively tasteless. However, deserts were as good as ever."

"We normally love our experience dining at Rigsby's. However, I think they weren't ready on this week night for the Holiday crunch. This is the first time we've experienced what I would describe as very spotty attention by the wait staff. The entree special was down to one serving left at 7PM..luckily we got it! They were also out of our first choice for a bottle of wine and it took them forever to come back and tell us...then we had to wait again for our second choice. Serving between appetizer, salad and entree was quite lengthy and awkard. The people next to us didn't get all of their meal served together so we know it wasn't just us being picky. Food was excellent. We will return."

"Everything was fine all around except for one slight hiccup which is on your (Open Table) plate. You accepted a reservation for my luncheon at 11:30AM and they don't begin food service until noon. It was not a problem in any way and I only mention it for informational purposes because it did cause a little concern when we arrived."

"Overall, it was a great place. I really had no complaints except for our server. And I'm really not complaining, but he was a bit slow. He also was fairly blatant about recommending the most expensive things, yet not too forward about the cost, which didn't matter to me but it was his approach I suppose. Other than that...it was a good time."
